I will be forever grateful i can be on this new med. it's one a lot of folks also need and can struggle to have access to! It's important i be on it, especially if i start doing any vid collabs

(some of which, really, all of which, i unfortunately actually need to cancel that were in the preplanning stages, bc the election results have me wanting to wait and see how the general atmosphere of the country is before i agree to meet up with anyone. Ladies and Gentlemen, Bitches and Bastards, Witches and Wizards, Mothers and Fuckers. Esteemed robot enjoyers, I present to you a semi-accurate height comparison of Bumblebee across the multiverse (as of July 2024). This really helps visualize the truly staggering differences between universes, at least height-wise. Also, three of these characters are Canonically the Same Guy; guess which ones.

I spent way too much time on the chart in the back it's not even funny. I will probably make more height charts for more TF characters and universes in the future. Don't expect it soon though, because when I make these, I am fueled by pure I-Got-Bored-At-Work-And-I-Have-Decided-To-Fool-Around-With-Robot-PNGs, and that fuel supply is inconsistent at best.

Hey Fun Fact, Did you know that Generation 1 Optimus Prime is around 19 Feet Tall? Bet some of you already knew that. I have no ulterior motives for bringing this fact up, what are you talking about.

My height explanations are below the cut, because you couldn't shut me up if you tried.

In an order:

Gen 1 - ~10 feet (the wiki says greater than 3 meters so I rounded up to the first whole number because round)

Netflix Cybertron Trilogy - ~10 feet (He looks identical to Gen 1 so... the reason his photo looks weird is because I couldn't find a good full body photo with him standing straight up facing the camera so I put two images together to make the worst looking photoshop job you have ever seen)

Earth Spark - 10 feet (There is no confirmed height yet but using a screen shot of him standing in front of a barn door I was able to make a reasonable guess.)

Animated - 12 feet (I have no genuine source for this, I think this info is just someone's guesstimate, but it seems reasonable. He's a tiny two door mini car, how big could he be)

New Live Action - 15 feet (The wiki hath declared. Also do we have a name for this universe because we need one I don't want to keep saying like 6 words to differentiate this one from bayverse)

Bayverse V1 - 16 feet (This is like the first 3 movies minimum, I don't remember when he hits his growth spurt. also wiki my love)

Cyberverse - 18 feet (I'm gonna be honest, the only info we have is from a really shitty screen shot of a magazine. SO if any one has a copy of this book from the video below, a high quality scan would be greatly appreciated and I will kiss the ground you walk upon. Yes I found the video where the screen shot comes from leave me alone)

Bayverse V2 - 18 feet (movie 4-5 I can't remember which one, I'm not re-looking this up. I fucking love the bayverse tho, this is the only universe with concrete and consistent this-character-is-this-height info)

Aligned Cont. WF/FOC - 20 feet (video game info screens you god send, kiss me sweetly)

Aligned Cont. TFP/RID15 - 21 feet (I do not know exactly where these numbers were found, but I fully fucking believe them. Just by looking at these characters on the show I can verify these numbers in my mind. They made specifically this universe to be full of freakishly tall robots for some fucking reason.)

And for any one who doesn't know, the three tallest are the same guy. Like the 20 feet tall one and the 21 feet tall ones, same guy. The ones in three wildly different art styles and designs. Let that sink in...

I have ten billion WIP sketches I need to finish, but for some reason I stayed up from 9 PM to 4 AM conceptualizing, making patterns, sewing, painting and applying makeup on this stupid fucking felt squid......the detailing needs to be cleaned up cause there's only one coat of paint so far, but he's pretty much done

my neighbors probably think I'm insane because I was running around the yard clenching this toy kallamar in a death grip and flying him around like an airplane/putting him in the barbecue/poking him with a stick. I want to tie him to a string and recreate the opening of napoleon dynamite >:) ALSO I MADE HIM SMOKE OUT OF A STUPID CRYSTAL PIPE BUT PLEASE DON'T ACTUALLY USE THOSE, THEY ARE SUPER TOXIC LMAO MINE IS FOR DECORATION

I don't have any process pics because I had tunnel vision autism style and forgot the rest of the universe existed while I was working on him. BUT if you're curious I'll ramble below the cut

Okay I am not a seamstress by any means. I've sewn my entire life but very, very infrequently. I've done plushies, clothes, cosplays, fursuits, accessories, etc. but I only do one like once a year, so while I planned to make all 5 bishops, I'm not really sure I'll get them all done. The material cost was like 20 bucks tops so I'm not too upset if I don't finish them. I AT LEAST WANT TO GET SHAMURA OR HEKET DONE.

here is the concept sketch ft. heket's toes and shamura's fingers. I decided to do his pre-schism version so I could fit him with jewelry! I did him first because like I said I sew infrequently and don't know wtf I'm doing, everyone else seemed a lot more complicated.

So I basically just traced this drawing on a printer paper-sized canvas in SAI, and guesstimated how everything would look in a 3D space. His head is four pieces, one triangle identical to the one in the picture, two wide triangles that are sewn together in the back, and a circle for his chin. You can't really see it in any of the pics but he's literally like a black cylindrical stick with little tentacles sewn on where his mantle connects to his cloak. The leg tentacles are one piece of felt that look like tassels, where they're connected by a rectangle but branch off into individual pieces. He can't stand up very well, so his cape keeps him up (that's gonna be an issue for every other bishop too except heket cause she's gonna be ROUND). Mostly everything like the crown, cloak, head, etc. are cones so I just had to make a lot of wide triangles.

For the details, I just used acrylic paint that was watered down so he's not especially crunchy, and for the blush tone I used a makeup palette my mom bought me 10 years ago in hopes I'd get in touch with my "feminine side", but I grew up into a nonbinary butch lesbian so OOPS. Kallamar looks better with makeup than me anyway. I'm kinda sad I couldn't get his freckles as lopsided as I draw them but it probably looks better in plush form to have them even anyway....

I could just post the pattern so I don't have to explain this but 1. I am mentally ill about the thought of my kallamar being in someone else's house and 2. the original pattern had to be tweaked while I was working on him so the final pattern straight up doesn't exist, I winged it the whole time

OH and the jewelry is just scrap pieces I had laying around, I might repaint it all to be gold instead of silver + bronze. I used 20g aluminum wire for his armlet thing, jumper rings for his earrings + ring (+ a diamond dot from my mom's kits for the gem) and chain for the bracelet. I made him an amulet as well but it felt like overkill so I took it off. I'm probably gonna make him a plague doctor mask and medicine bag sometime because I think about nurse kallamar more than I probably should :') I've already sewn one as a prop for a toy raven before so it shouldn't be too hard

Fashion Dreamer Tips & Tricks

Some stuff only I found that isn't mentioned or in-game at all or is easily missed as far as I'm aware? I hope it helps some of you guys out :) It is quite image-heavy under the cut, fair warning!!

Colour Matching (Item Creator) Pressing down on the left stick changes the display from mannequin to the item itself, but pressing it again will show whatever item you're creating along with whatever your muse is currently wearing.

So if you've gotten a custom coloured item from someone else, this is great for making items and accessories to match with it! And you don't have to waste 120k points trying to match colours by guesstimation instead like me :'))) Or maybe I'm just dumb because I knew how to zoom in and out, just not the display switching OTL

2. Showroom Configuration (is stupid) This is for the Happy Home Paradise players... Make sure that any mannequins or clothing you display in your showroom is actually accessible, because you cannot walk under ceiling decorations, even if they are lighting. I have no idea why. You also can't change the camera angle, so it'd be best not to put the door/panel decorations all in a row at the front, because then players can't see what you're even displaying (unless it's just like a mannequin in the middle surrounded by lockers... Idk)

Taking the time to plug my showroom again before I swap out the outfits for the fancier stuff I have >o< Find me at a8xv4JW3Am!

3. Muse Advisors There are at least 2 or 3 advisors who are present at the Muse Mirror in each Cocoon in rotation. (e.g. Noz and Iris in HOPE) They can not only suggest colours and unique makeup that you haven't obtained yet* (I've seen a look where your character gets like a Batman/Robin mask lol), but also give you their own! If the one whose look you want isn't there, you just have to quick-travel (press down on the right stick) to another Cocoon and back. Otherwise, you can just keep talking to them and backing out until their option shows up.

4. NPCs I've just learnt that the NPCs you start with are most likely random. I've seen others start with NPCs I haven't even seen or heard of! You need to raise their friendship level until you get a special event that says 'Friend Introduction' - and even then, I think the NPC who appears next might be random (unconfirmed). This may make it quite a pain for those who want the unnatural skin colours, since I believe they are only unlockable via NPC friendship rank... So just go into solo mode and spam some outfits :')

5. Camera Angles and Idle Poses This one is a bit useless, but I didn't know about it until now so it's going in. Most of the time, I use the drone camera to take photos, but could never really fit fullbody photos - turns out, you need to angle the camera slightly downwards (have your character looking up) to be able to zoom out enough to fit your Muse's whole body in. If the camera angle is level with your Muse, you will never be able to get a fullbody picture. Who thought this would be a good idea???

Additionally, waiting for a while will let your character have the time to perform some idle animations, some of which (I think) are not present in the poses option, even via NPC friendship rank. The downside is that you'll have to crop out some parts of the UI and the quality will be a little lower - however, that can be fixed using waifu2x (which I tend to use anyways for aesthetic posts lol).

Wild animals and media

Sooooooo I'm a zoo-adjacent person (volunteer educator). I claim no professional expertise, just knowledge I've picked up from being around actual professionals. But I can tell you this much.

There is no way on God's green earth they would have darted that tiger last night.

There's a portrayal in media that's all too common where a dangerous animal is shot with a dart, falls asleep, and all is well. This portrayal is egregiously oversimplified if not downright incorrect.

Tranquilizing an animal is not a trivial matter, nor is it always successful. For one thing, sedatives take time to take effect, and the animal's behavior until it is sedated can be very unpredictable. An animal may become more dangerous after being darted. It's not instantaneous. And the dosage depends on the animal's size, which usually has to be guesstimated, and even a small discrepancy can wildly affect the drugs' effectiveness. They may not go down at all, or not down fully. They may be a little woozy but still dangerous and should not be approached.

In the situation with the tiger in the apartment, there's no way they'd tranquilize it while there was still someone there in danger. They'd have to kill it.

You may know that the situation in 8x04 is a direct lift of a real life situation, the story of Ming of Harlem. Now, Ming was tranquilized, exactly as it happened in the episode, by a first responder rappelling to the window with a dart gun. The difference is that Ming was alone in the apartment at the time. And the rappelling was to take great care NOT to introduce a person into that situation. And what did Ming do after being darted? Attacked the window and broke it.

I know why they did it. Nobody wants to shoot a tiger, even a CGI tiger, on network television. But in reality, that tiger would just have been shot. Regrettable, but necessary.

So what's the harm?

The harm is that this creates a perception - which is extremely widely held - that tranquilizing a wild animal is easy and quick and always works. Then when a situation like this happens in the real world, and the authorities do the correct thing and kill the animal, they are condemned and vilified. "Why didn't you just tranquilize it???" people yell, because they've only seen that done on TV where it's always the right dose and everything goes according to plan. But when you've got a dangerous animal in proximity to humans that could be hurt or killed by it, intentionally or not, you can't take the risk. You have to go for the nuclear option. Nobody likes it. Nobody wants to kill an animal in that situation. There is not a good option there. But you take the one that has the greatest chance of saving the people in danger.

Headcanon time

Nightmare doesn't actually know his age. The 'he is 500', thing, is him counting what he remembers. He was six when he got corrupted + how ever long Dream has been awake. He wasn't counting otherwise really.

In those thousands of years between, I imagine he would go to sleep for years or even decades at a time, so he really has no clue how old he is.

Sometimes he will see something on the TV about history and be like 'holy shit, I remember that??'. His boys are slowly trying to make a timeline to figure out his real age

I actually fricking love this??? I'm 100% yoinking this idea??? I love love love the idea that NM is literally just guesstimating when he finally tells Killer how old he is.

Killer has been pestering him with personal questions for months since NM has obtained him, always asking things like "what are you?" And "what are you made of?" And "do you have bones under all that goofy stuff orrrr-" and "Okay wait are you wearing clothes or is it just more goop?" And "okay, dude, how old are you? You talk like you walked out of a period piece."

Nightmare doesn't even know the answer to half of that shit himself! He hates being asked questions he can't answer, it makes him feel... small. So he just resorts to guestimating when killer asks him these strange personal questions.

K: "what are you?"

NM: "Your god and your king." (What... am I? I don't even know what I am.)

K: "How old are you?"

Nm: "... five hundred." (Probably.)

K: "Are you made of that goop or do you actually have bones underneath?"

NM: "I'm entirely made of it." (Probably? Thats... how I shapeshift, right?)

K: "How do you know that dream guy?"

NM: "I don't. He's simply in my way, and I want him put down." (A flat-out lie... but Killer need not concern himself with such things.)

I can't answer the second question. Let me illustrate the problem.

Don't bother counting the blocks/color chunks, I didn't, this is just to illustrate the concept.

The chapters I've written, I've written. I know how many of those there are.

The chapters I've plotted, I have detailed outlines for. I know exactly what will happen in them and what order they happen in, and I might be able to guesstimate how many chapters they'll be.

The plots I've heavily developed are "episodes" where I have a really good idea what happens in them and a preeetty good idea what order they happen in, but I do NOT have a detailed outline, which means A LOT could change.

The FOG OF WAR (undeveloped plots) contains all the "episode" ideas I've had that I know I want to write, but I have NOT developed them in detail, I DON'T know what order they're in, AND MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF THEM might change. I have a few developed plots or plotted chapters that are floating in the fog of war because I don't know when they'll happen yet. I do not even know how many episodes are currently hidden in the fog of war. It's possible I haven't even thought up all of the episodes I'll put in this fic—I have several character development goals that I don't currently have an associated plotline for them to happen in. It's also possible I'll cut or combine some of the episodes I've already thought of.

I do not know how big the fog of war is. It's possible that it's about the size I've drawn it above. It's also possible that it's...

... like this.

What I do know is we're gonna be here a while.

As for "seasons," I'm only able to divide up a season 1 from a season 2 because there's part of the story with an EXTREMELY STRONG "season finale"-tier plotline, before and after which the story and its possibilities change drastically. The "season" division isn't a measure of length, but of plot stakes. There's a possibility there won't be a similar shift from a season 2 to a season 3+. The seasons could have any length relative to each other.

Or will circumstance keep them apart? A/N: Once again, I would just like to say thank you all for your continued support! This fic doesn't get many comments, but I truly appreciate the ones I do get (and I am terribly sorry I still can't reply to comments! I do see them I swear; it's tumblr's fault I don't answer! Sending asks is the only sure way I can respond at the moment.) At any rate, this is one of those shows were I have a difficult time gauging exactly how much time is passing from shot to shot, so I'm guesstimating on some of the timelines here.

After the arrival of the latest Lady Whistledown, gossip and whispers were abound. And while the public openly discussed the events of the evening with shock and delight, those involved chose instead to keep their conversations to themselves. The Bridgertons, the Featheringtons, and even the royal family had all featured heavily in the gossiper's latest edition, and all chose to keep any discussion of the matters with which they were involved amongst themselves.

Days passed, and soon talk shifted from what had happened that night, to where it would lead. And while speculation over the relationship of Princess Beatrice and Mister Benedict Bridgerton featured heavily in ladies teatimes throughout the ton, it was not the only topic of interest.

Miss Penelope Featherington had, rather understandably, avoided being seen out in society since her scheme with Colin Bridgerton had been revealed. Her scandal was hardy enough to warrant continued gossip in many a drawing room in the many days that followed. That is of course, between talk of the multiple Bridgerton children; whose actions and influence were, once again, the talk of the season.

Colin Bridgerton had quickly become one of the most desirable matches of the season. And while he had played a key role in the scandal involving Miss Featherington, his reputation remained wholly unaffected. So while the young ladies of the ton giggled and gossiped amongst themselves over Penelope's misstep, they could not help adding how desirable they found Mister Colin Bridgerton.

Then there was Francesca Bridgerton. While the news had been somewhat undercut by the actions of her elder brother, her choice as the season's diamond--or sparkler, as the queen choice to name her--was hardly something to overlook. Having the queen's favor made her an extremely desirable match, and the fact that her brother was now rumored to be attached to royalty certainly didn't quell any interest. She had already received quite a few callers in the days following the ball, but there were rumors the queen herself had already begun searching for Miss Francesca's perfect match. An interesting development indeed, given what the royal household must currently be going through.

Which leads to Benedict Bridgerton: A known rack and former aspiring artist who had seemed, up until very recently, completely dismissive of the ideas surrounding marriage and social statues. Yet he now stood as the only known candidate for the hand of a princess.

It was quite the narrative, and people could hardly get enough. Whistledown's veiled accusation and support ad only enhanced interest more, until it soon became difficult to tell fact from fiction.

It was a narrative of romance and intrigue, taking on as many versions as could be dreamt up by the ladies of the ton. It was the story of a commoner and a princess, fighting against all odds for true love. Or perhaps it was of an artist finding his muse, and the woman who finally changed his mind--and his heart. It was a beautiful tale of love at first sight, or perhaps a more scandalous image of moonlit meetings and stolen kisses.

The many speculations were retold and discussed over and over, each growing grander and more fanciful than the last.

But what was the truth? And where would it lead?

Many believed it would end tragically, while others hoped for a fairy tale romance with the happiest of endings.

So when it was discovered a footman had made a show of arriving at Bridgerton House bearing a royal invitation, people were shocked and delighted. However, this delight would soon turn to confusion when it was revealed that the invitation was not for Mister Benedict Bridgerton, but instead his mother and sisters.

No one was quite sure what to make of it, least of all Benedict himself.

Beatrice stared out the window at the sprawling gardens of Buckingham House, the tea in her hands all but forgotten as she lost herself in her thoughts once more.

A bored groan brought her back to reality, and she looked over to see her sister looking at her with a raised brow.

"Sister, how can you be so dull even when there is finally so much excitement in your life?" Charlotte asked.

"Sorry to disappoint sister, but I can be nothing but myself," Beatrice replied, taking a sip of her tea at last. She grimaced; it had gone cold.

"Clearly," Charlotte noted, "Then again, the Bee I knew would have never stood up to father the way you did."

Beatrice looked down, "I...never had reason to before."

"Yes, you have always been such a dormouse," Charlotte smiled, "Yet perhaps love has changed you--it has a way of doing so. I have experienced as much myself."

"A small change perhaps, but yes. I suppose your temperament has improved somewhat since you married," Beatrice joked, a small smirk lining her face.

Charlotte laughed, "Oh? Then I suppose I can return the sentiment: I like you far more this way, even if you are still a bore."

Beatrice smiled at her elder sister. The two had never been particularly close, but there was a fondness shared between them that was often shown through their playful ribbing. They were very different people, but sisters all the same, and while they would likely never be as close as a family like the Bridgertons, it was enough.

Charlotte looked her younger sister over, a more thoughtful expression present on her lovely face, "You are really quite taken with the man, aren't you?"

"I am," Beatrice replied, "He is...truly wonderful."

"Well then, I am happy for you. It's far past time you stood up and took what you wanted for a change."

Beatrice frowned, "But Lottie, what if father refuses to allow us to be together? He is so against the idea--"

"Oh hush now," Charlotte waved her hand dismissively as she spoke, "Father may have the final say officially, but you know it is grandmama who will ultimately make the choice. Father my be a tyrant with us, but you've seen how pathetic he becomes around her. He will inevitably do as she wishes, he just has to make a show of it first so it appears that he actually considered going against her. And, seeing as you've already managed to secure her favor, I don't see any need for worry."

"It easy to say so, but I find I cannot help but worry about it regardless," Beatrice said, a gloomy look on her face.

"It will all be fine. You two will have a frightfully dull wedding, you will have many dull children, and the rest of your life will lack any hint of excitement as you spend it with what I can only assume is an equally dull man...and you will be happy,"

Beatrice smiled, "Yes, dull indeed--as opposed to you, whose life will all be so incredibly exciting."

"Well of course," Charlotte replied with an air of playful smugness, "It is alright dear sister--we cannot all be so blessed."

The two sisters continued on in this way for some time, and Beatrice found her worries had lessened somewhat by the end of their visit. She was not sure if her sister was correct in her assumptions about the inevitability of their father's answer, but she said them with such confidence it was difficult not to believe her.

Benedict groaned as he paced around the room, hands on his hips as he walked in circles. Violet held a gilded envelope in her hand as she watched him.

"You should calm yourself dear, worrying will hardly help matters," she suggested.

"How can I not worry? What am I to make of...that?" he replied, gesturing to the letter in his mother's hand.

Violet sighed, "It should not trouble you so. As you may recall, the princess had already inquired about a possible invitation to tea."

"Yes, but that was before all the ton became aware of our acquaintance--should I not have heard something by now?"

"I would hardly call it an acquaintance," Eloise muttered behind her book.

Benedict shot her an annoyed glance, "All I am saying, is why is it you have received an invitation to tea when I have received nothing? Should I not have received some sort of correspondence from someone? Is that not a bad sign?"

Violet stood, putting hands on her son's shoulder comfortingly, "It is not a bad sign; if anything it is good news."

"How could this possibly be good news?" he asked, eyebrow raised.

"Well," she began, "if the crown were not at least considering their options, then surely you would have been informed right away. That they are taking their time means there is a chance they will approve of your relationship."

"Or they believe the notion so ridiculous they would hardly waste their time discussing it, thus removing any need to tell me anything at all. Perhaps their silence is their way of saying I am not even worth consideration," Benedict countered, looking gloomy.

"If that were the case, would they have allowed her highness to invite us at all? If they wanted to dispel any rumors of a courtship between the two of you, why invite your family to Buckingham House? This will certainly look to the public as a show of approval," Violet replied.

Benedict sighed, "Perhaps you are right mother. It is only the not knowing one way or the other is driving me mad!" He flung himself onto the settee dramatically. Eloise rolled her eyes at the gesture, but said nothing.

"I'm sure the girls and I will gain some insight when we see the princess tomorrow," his mother assured him. He frowned, but said not more.

The opulent gold carriage slowed to a stop as it arrived in front of Buckingham House, it's four passengers stepping out one by one as they took in the view. Violet Bridgerton reached out and took Francesca's arm in hers.

"Oh, isn't it marvelous?" she commented as she stared up at the impressive structure.

"It is certainly...overwhelming," Francesca replied with a nervous smile.

"Come now dears, we mustn't keep her royal highness waiting," Violet urged, making her way up the stairs with Francesca. Eloise and Kate following behind.

"You have not met the princess yet, have you Kate?" Eloise asked as they walked.

"I have not had the pleasure, no," Kate replied, "Is she truly as wonderful as Benedict claims she is?"

"Too true," Kate smiled as she and Eloise stepped through the doors of Buckingham House.

Beatrice stood just inside, watching as they entered. She grinned, eager to welcome them all.

"Dowager Viscountess, Viscountess Bridgerton, Miss Bridgerton, Miss Bridgerton," she greeted them formally as they lined up and curtsied before her.

"Your royal highness, thank you for the invitation," Violet said, smiling kindly at the princess.

"I was quite eager to have you all, so thank you for accepting," Beatrice replied, turning to Kate next, "And Viscountess, it is a pleasure to finally make your acquaintance. Lady Danbury has told me so much about you."

"Oh dear; only good things, I hope?" Kate asked.

Beatrice laughed, "Yes of course! And I have found Lady Danbury says nothing she does not mean, so it must all be true."

Kate smiled back at the princess.

"Now shall we then? We will certainly be more comfortable speaking in the drawing room," Beatrice suggested as she turned, leading them down the many winding halls of Buckingham House.

They arrived at their destination, taking seats around a table laid with tea and biscuits. Beatrice sat so she was facing her guests, smiling at them as a servant poured their tea.

"I must confess I am rather nervous," she admitted, "I have never hosted tea before."

"You're nervous?" Eloise repeated without thinking, "You're not sitting across from royalty."

"Eloise!" her mother hissed.

Beatrice laughed, "It's alright. She does have a point," she turned to Eloise, "I get nervous quite a lot actually; I am not so bold as some of the other members of my family. Though, it would help ease my nerves somewhat if you continued speaking freely with me. I feel less of a need to perform when the situation feels more informal."

"Oh, well I," Eloise didn't seem to know quite how to respond.

"I believe what Eloise means to say is that we certainly do not wish to make you nervous. However, it would be...improper for us to address you so casually," Kate said eloquently.

"Ah, of course," Beatrice replied. She raised a hand, and with a wave dismissed the servants standing silently against the back wall. Without a word they filed out of the room, leaving the ladies alone, "There--now there is no one to witness any lapse in decorum."

"Your royal highness," Violet began hesitantly.

"Please, call me Beatrice."

"Oh, I...I'm not sure I can do that," Violet replied honestly.

"Won't you please? And then I shall call you by your names as well," Beatrice insisted, "My social circle is...quite small at the moment. I would so like for us to be friends."

The Bridgertons were silent, their social training at odds with their desire to adhere to her wishes.

"Well, if you insist," Eloise said with a shrug. Her family looked at her with surprise, but with one of them in agreement, it seemed easier for the rest to follow suite.

"Lovely!" Beatrice replied happily, "Now, perhaps we should drink our tea--I would hate for it to go cold."

The ladies secured a cup of tea, each taking small sips as they looked at one another. A silence fell over the room as they waited for someone to say something. The Bridgertons had expected Beatrice to go on, but she seemed unsure of what she should say.

"Oh enough!" Eloise finally spoke, sitting her tea aside rather forcefully, "Will you be telling us about what is going on with Benedict or not?" Everyone looked at her in stunned silence. Quickly realizing she had all but yelled at a princess, she softly add, "If you are so inclined....Beatrice."

Her mother moved to scold her once again, but Beatrice spoke before she could begin.

"Ah yes...I suppose you all must be quite curious," Beatrice fidgeted in her seat, "How much has Benedict told you exactly?"

"Everything," Eloise answered bluntly.

"I see...so you are aware we are more acquainted than we may have let on?"

"Indeed," Kate replied.

Beatrice sighed, "Then there is little else I can tell you. For my part, I can say the matter has been discussed with her majesty and my father, but he has not yet made his decision. I expect we shall hear soon enough, but I truly do not know what his answer will be."

"I see," Violet said, a hint of disappointment in her voice, "We had hoped for better news, though I suppose it is not nothing. That the matter is being considered at all is something with which to be thankful."

"My sister believes it will all work out, since grandmama has made her stance known to my father. He is...not known for defying my grandmother's wishes. Father is quite adamantly against the relationship, but with my grandmother's support it will be far more difficult for him to disallow it."

"Her majesty supports you?" Violet asked in surprise.

"Yes, though I'm not sure what motives she may have for doing so."

"Well whatever her reasons, if you have the queen's blessing then surely there is nothing to worry about," Kate reassured her.

Beatrice smiled, "Yes, I truly hope so."

The rest of the afternoon was spend speaking about less serious subjects. Beatrice found it became easier to relax as the time passed. The Bridgertons clearly felt the same, each of them losing a layer of the rigidity they had started with. Francesca even joined the conversation once the topic shifted to music.

Beatrice showed them the music room as promised, though there was little time left for playing. She promised Francesca another invitation soon, and gifted her some sheet music as an apology. They also made a quick stop in the library, where Eloise found more than a few books that caught her eye. Beatrice would have allowed her to take them all, but the stack was quite high in the end. instead, Eloise chose only two, and agreed to another invitation so she may trade them out for more.

As the Bridgertons made their way to the foyer, Violet rather discreetly handed Beatrice an envelope containing a letter. Beatrice seemed surprised, before smiling shyly and presenting her own hidden letter in return.

Farewells were exchanged, and soon the Bridgertons were on their way home. Beatrice watched them from the window, her thumb rubbing against the soft paper in her hand. She had enjoyed her time with them immensely, but it had only made her miss Benedict more.

She desperately hoped she would see him again soon.

Life has been very busy these past few months but is moving in a hopefully good and definitely exciting direction.

In this particular order (if memory serves correctly) I've:

decided to move halfway across the continent

marked the one year anniversary of the worst time of my life

had other people mark the one year anniversary of the worst time of my life with all that entails

quit my job (I'd been planning that for a while)

had my boss and hr offer to let me go instead and half my notice period to two months (aka 'give' me more money and facilitate my move, yay pity)

started looking for a place to live and organizing my move

found a new job in a slightly different corner of halfway across the continent (I start July 1st)

got my request for citizenship approved (epic timing guys)

found a place to live in an awesome area (I will be able to do all my errands on foot and my new job is only a short bike ride away)

told everyone I was leaving for sure

signed the paperwork to have my uncle in law take over the place here

had my cousin offer to move my stuff with his remodeled fire engine in exchange for gas and (bridge) tolls

did all the paperwork in the universe ever

started saying my goodbyes for now (I still have lots of family and friends etc here so I'll be back a lot)

had my cousin tell me he'd make a bro trip out of the move because his friends really wanted to see a basic bridge, and room and board plus no girls was all the compensation they needed for getting to carry my boxes

said thanks but no thanks to citizenship (sorry Wille, you'll always be my King)

was asked if I minded the move taking a bit longer because the guys wanted to stop for totally unplanned soccer (a not insignificant part of their motivation if not a deciding factor I dare say)

did more move and job leaving planning and paperwork

welcomed, fed and watered a bunch of guys really into soccer bridges and very disappointed I didn't have more boxes they could compete carrying

prepared a big lunch basket and said goodbye to said guys and my boxes

sat down to write this list wondering where I should celebrate midsummer (aka do I want to travel back and forth to get everything ready or stay until it's time to hand in my work laptop etc)

Phew, yes. Also a million other things which won't come to mind right now. Thank you to everyone who left me such kind messages btw. I appreciate them so much but am still learning to respond to kindness and compliments without awkwardness. They nevertheless give me life.

In more interesting news to everyone here I've also done a lot of writing.

Mostly on One Wild Summer, which has already grown into a monster, but I've been writing the exciting parts later on and still guesstimate a 15k or so stretch which needs bridging to get to all the fun stuff I've already written.

but also on The Prince and the Barista and As Long as We Have Each Other. I only need to make it coherent and once again fill the gap to where I stopped posting.

plus *cue exasperated sighs* I'm also 9k+ into a new fic! The (once more) absolutely most self-indulgent thing I've ever written in this fandom and something I swore I never would turn into a proper fic. Expect the prologue for that (which was meant to be 500 words and not 5k) soonish.

Everything else including regular updates not before mid to late July though I think. Because moving and starting a new job and life means busy times and while I can write scribble down connected sentences with half a mind, I can't beta read and edit with half a mind.

Every time I do another playthrough of Thicker Than (I've probably done 15+ at this point, if I'm guesstimating conservatively), I'm like: "I'll do a different type of run and see all the other content I usually miss." But then, as I'm playing, it's like, "Well, Tracy is cool, gotta be besties. And Iliya, I love him and his sexy dorkiness. Better pick up Marcel while I'm at it, he's just too cute. I've written Thicker Than in such a weird way (and it's my own fault so I can't even be mad about it). I like that players have to seek out and find the characters... but I'm also constantly like 'oh gods, what if the players don't seek out and find the characters?!' I'm so glad you like so many characters enough to spend some time with them. 💙

no of fence to jon snow fans who for some reason care about his exact age, but these discussions just annoy me no end. not only bc there's no way any weirwood flashbacks bran has to rhaegar/lyanna will come with time/datestamps, but also bc there's always comments like this:

SEVERAL turns of the moon (ie, months)?! have these people never seen a human baby before or just have no concept of their ages? even if we take into account travel time from the toj to wf, meaning jon was not a newborn too fresh out the oven when catelyn and robb arrived, there's still a difference between a newborn and a 3mo and an even bigger difference between those infants and an older baby 5-7mo. there's very good reasons these lines were cut. whatever birthdates can be worked out internally for jon and robb from when they're first mentioned as 15 and 16 don't matter in the end, bc grrm doesn't care about a consistent timeline and the actual text of catelyn's pov and ned's convo with robert about cheating on her should outweigh any guesstimates about jon's official nameday wrt robb's. catelyn may not have cared for jon, but she would sure as hell have noticed his nameday if it came before robb's and made him ned's firstborn. if jon's birthday canonically came before robb's then either ned's cover story would not involve adultery (not impossible for him to sire a bastard before his wedding), or he'd just give jon a new nameday along with his new name to fit the adultery lie. it makes no sense for him to lie about one and not the other, undermining the big lie with a little public clue of his story not adding up. whatever else she was as a stepmother, cat wasn't stupid and a bastard who was actually the eldest son being raised alongside her trueborn heir could be an even bigger insult than whether he was born of adultery or not.

BUT, the unknowability of jon's true birthday is not the only reason this annoys me, it's bc this is all based on the assumption that jon must be older since rhaegar/lyanna ran off together before ned married cat, as if both boys must have been conceived asap as robb canonically was when his parents consummated their marriage. and that's not how human reproduction works! even if you don't understand how fast babies grow in the first year, you should know that people who get pregnant do so through ovulation cycles and a lucky sperm finding an egg and all that, not just immediately getting knocked up as soon as one has p-in-v sex for the first time. not unless you only know mean girls sex ed where if you have sex you will get pregnant and die. (even tho lyanna did die, there's plenty of canon examples where pregnancy did not lead straight to death. also examples of people who did not get pregnant right away and even some who are/were sexually active and childless without always having moon tea on hand.) we can't know how long lyanna was having sex before that sperm+egg match happened or even how long she was with rhaegar before losing her technical virginity. if they were married, doesn't it make sense to think they didn't consummate their relationship until the wedding night either? that's the only leverage there is to ensure a status as wife rather than just mistress.

and while i just said grrm doesn't care about exact timelines and a lot is still foggy surrounding the rebellion and esp rhaegar, there is one timemarker wrt robert's rebellion he voluntarily threw in, time and time again: that stannis was besieged at storm's end for almost a whole year. that siege, which mind you, did not match the duration of the entire war. it only started after robert won his battles at gulltown and summerhall, returned to storm's end, and then went out and lost the battle of ashford, leaving his homeland open to the reachermen. the same siege which only ended when ned made a detour there after the sack of king's landing, before going to the toj. even if lyanna may not have given birth that exact day ned found her, she could only be waiting in that bloody bed for weeks at the most, not months. so if rhaegar knocked her up the very same night he carried her off and jon was still a newborn when ned found her after the siege of storm's end had ended, wouldn't that mean lyanna was pregnant for well over a year? that's not how human pregnancy works either! so, maybe that's proof that jon and robb, whichever order they were actually born in, were actually very close in age as babies, much closer than if they were both conceived asap.

and really, jon's actual birthdate does not matter imho, when he was raised not just as the bastard to robb's trueborn heir, but with robb also known by catelyn and the world as ned's firstborn (which he was, in any case, as jon was ned's nephew by birth). what difference could a birthdate before robb's make (even were there some means of discovery) after ned, cat, and robb are all dead? if one is looking only at his birth parents then he's only a firstborn child on lyanna's side, but definitely a second son on rhaegar's side. maybe he was always meant to be a second son with a not much older half-brother! even if the aegon fka young griff is not in fact rhaegar's son, he'll still be known as aegon vi targaryen, meaning jon will never be known as any father's elder son. if i may reference mean girls again, it's not going to happen.

Hi there! My name's Mimi, I'm 25, and I'm struggling financially at the moment due to inconsistent and cut hours at work. My darling 2008 Honda Civic is pretty great, but I don't have the money for the oil change, and my tires are old and can't hold any air pressure in them, so I need to get them replaced. I live in the desert, which sees temps over 100F/38C consistently in the Summer, and I don't have a working A/C. I don't know what exactly is wrong with it, so I don't have a real estimate on the costs just yet, but I know I want it to get repaired as soon as possible.

A piece of my car fell out after a fender bender called the Air Intake Resonator. I... don't know how it fell out, and I don't know how much it'll cost to get it put back in or replaced. I think it will be very expensive. Because I don't have a quote, I haven't added it to the total I'm raising for here, but it's in the back of my mind. It's safe to drive without it for now, but it might do damage over time. If anyone has any advice about the air intake resonator, please let me know!

I'm curious as to whether the devs of Gnosia put a hard limit on the amount of people who can claim the same role all at once or if it just gets so unlikely after a certain point that it's *technically* possible for more people to claim a role at the same time, but realistically it's never going to happen (although I'm mostly leaning towards the former given how the ui is set up in the engineer and doctor panels from the menu). In my game it hasn't been -super- rare for three npcs to claim the same role at once, but in the +500 loops I've put in, four npcs claiming the same role has happened only twice, so if we count every single loop that's less than a .4% chance of occurrence.

However, we should take into account that aside from a small handful of instances I always have all npcs present whenever possible. I usually have 3 gnosia and very often an ac follower, less often I also have a bug or either 2 or 4 gnosia instead, so admittedly that further complicates things, but during the vast majority of those loops 4 and often even 5 or 6 people being able to claim the same role is feasible. That means the chances of this happening are actually a bit higher since the loops where it simply wasn't possible would need to be discounted. But I have no way to reliably quantify how many that is beyond a very rough guesstimate and it's definitely still less than a 1% chance, so I'm not going to lose sleep over it because it's almost never going to happen either way.

Anyway I'll report here when I end up in a loop where 9 npcs claim one role at the same time, which I think is the maximum possible amount if there's no hard limit capping it at a lower number since a game can have up to six gnosia, one ac follower, one bug, and of course the single person who isn't lying through their teeth.

Honestly at that point I think I would just put myself into cold sleep that night, I can't put up with that much bullshit at once. You guys can sort this one out on your own, I have better places to be.

So, I felt like sewing today.

I remembered I had a piece of curtain that I intended to turn into a t-shirt, I found it in a thrift store for 50 cents and thought how I would really like a shirt with this pattern! It's a very old, woven piece of fabric, made out of pure cotton, and it's very strong and durable, and not transparent at all, with pretty blue leaves and berries on it.

I looked trough all of the t-shirts I own, and found this purple one had a very interesting collar, and I liked the way it looked on me, so I decided to duplicate that same shirt.

If I was really wanting to make it perfect, I'd make a pattern out of paper, then copy it to the fabric, then cut. But I just went straight to cutting, I feel like I can guesstimate this out.

I've made a pajama shirt once, so I've learned that the hardest thing to make is the collar. I spent some time figuring out how to make a neat-looking collar this time, and it took me a few tries to overlapping this blue fabric on one side and the other before I figured it out. But I think this collar can work! I specifically used some stretchy fabric to make it easier on myself. Here's the recreation of the collar:

I sewed the sides together, which was easy, and now the last, most annoying step, to make the sleeves, and to sew them on. Last time I sewed on the sleeves wrong 3 times in a row, I hope this time to get it right slightly sooner.

I realized at this point that the sleeves would look the best if I put the same collar-type ending on them, and it was soo annoying, I am doing this with needle and thread, and my technique required sewing it twice. So I was annoyed. The sleeves were also slightly poofy in the original, so I made sure to add a slight poof to them here as well. It felt like I spent an hour doing each one, but when they were done, they looked so good, I don't regret putting in the extra effort.

I actually managed to put the sleeves on correctly on the first try, which was a huge relief. And she's done!

I'm actually a bit surprised that it doesn't even look that hand-made, it seems the neat collar makes it look like a real shirt. I can actually wear this outside, and fulfill my dreams of looking like a 90s curtain! It feels so very good on my skin though, it's light-colored so it's great for the sunny weather, it will not easily wear out or fall apart because it's woven! That is an actual non-transparent, durable white shirt, something you can't get that easily anymore. It took me about 7 hours to make by hand.

Also if you're wondering why I couldn't tidy up my bed the whole time I was doing this. Well. I had priorities and also I am being honest on the internet about living in a messy bed. It would have been lying if I had tidied it up :) (And to be extra honest it's just a mattress on the floor, I migrate to the floor sometimes.)
