to everyone else I'm sorry for flooding your dash recently with drawings of weird dead creatures because it will happen again (this has always been my hyperfixation i just used to be slightly better at hiding it)

Weird post but i find it very amusing when i see the people with project sekai pfps who clearly follow me for my vocaloid art like my nerdy paleoart, y'all are the real ones for that, shoutout to y'all fr

#well a combo of that and the fact i get a bit of imposter syndrome about it #like im a nerd and i absolutley am more of a dinosaur nerd than most normal functioning members of society #but the knowledge celling for paleontology is like so high i keep feeling like i look like a pleb in comparison #to people who like legit know their stuff #i'm comparing myself to people in youtube videos who can tell you about fossil beds n stuff and im like damn i only know 3 fossil formation #and 2/3 are just because i made projects about dinosaurs that live in them #heartbreaking: girl knows to much about prehistoric animals to converse with normal people without being annoying and infodumping #but doesn't know enough to talk to the actual people who know their shit #but recently my paleoart has started to get more likes and stuff from paleo fans so the imposter syndrome is going away #I'm not a scientist I'm a nerd but maybe that is ok #also i draw waaaay more paleoart than i post btw i just kinda allways felt scared to post it #oh yeah the other thing is im afraid normal people wont give a shit about my dinosaur art #so hearing people like my dino art even if they arent massive nerds like me also means a lot #i kinda have this fear that people would think im annoying for it #irl it takes like 1 week for me to be diagnosed as the “dinosaur person” after meeting new people lmao #me when i got the literally lifelong dinosaur obsession ADHD instead of the being good at math and science ADHD #tldr the fact both nerds and non nerds like my nerd art is making me happy #am i overthinking for someone who just likes to draw the funny dead lizard birds? yes.
