I know you don’t care for Boyslab but I think about this a lot. Why do you think the 6 who came from COAT changed their names while the G-Bot ones kept them? Tsubasa/Misaki Jin/Shin Soh/Hayate Kazuki/Johji Nagi/Nagisa Yukito/Taishi. The only ones keeping their names even similar being Nagi and Jin. But then we have Isana Yuma Shunsuke and Mitsuki who kept their original G-Bot names so Eito will probably keep his. What do you think the difference is ?

gbot and boyslab are part of the same branch or something, so using the same names there isnt a problem

while coat prob got copyright on their old names, it might have said in their contract they werent allowed to go by those names elsewhere

i can get why companies care about the names. their names are basically a whole identity. when people mention sho, hikaru or nagi you immediately connect them to coat - and i imagine that matters a lot to companies, its more or less a part of their brand, and you wouldnt exactly wanna share that with other companiesim sure it differs for each company, it might also depend on how long an actor has stayed at that company, how many years have passed since then and stuff like that. who knows
