somehow managed to power through the second part of the uzuikids fic in one night! here's your second out of nine snippets!!

"Namu, namu," Meito mumbles, and his voice is so quiet that it takes a second for Tengen or Hina to notice. Hina's eyes spring open, almost comical, and Tengen almost runs into the statue in his haste to get to his son.

"Meito, Meito," Hina says, looking at her son's weeping face. "Could you say that again, sweetheart?"

"Namu," Meito manages to say once more before succumbing to his sleepiness—the early morning probably does nothing to help with that—and falling asleep.
