👆👆👆exactly! Convergent evolution is the reason why potoos and owls look so similar and have similar nocturnal habits, but are totally unrelated :) Owls are raptors, so their closest relatives would be other raptors like eagles and hawks!

Fun Fact

Potoos share a more recent common ancestor with hummingbirds than they do with owls. So, that means these two birds are more closely related to each other..
