I thought youd be happy to know this weekend my husband rescued a feeder rat from one of our friends. Shes now a member of our family and her name is Pepe

**be careful with feeder rescues-- unlike pet breeders, feeder breeders do not breed rats with their temperament or health in mind, since the rats are bred for the purpose of instantly dying and not being a lively healthy pet. If you wind up with a feeder and plan to keep it as a pet, be prepared for the possibility that it doesn't behave desirably or has extra health problems**
