New snake tank gets here today, it’s exactly the same as the old one except that it opens from the front and doesn’t have a giant hole in the top bc a cat decided that it would be a great spot to take a nap

#not art related #I’m still debating whether or not to switch the substrate from aspen shavings to the reptile/topsoil mix #on one hand the soil mix wouldn’t run the risk of molding if I decided to start monitoring/adjusting the humidity more #but on the other hand I know the moment I go back to university my parents are not gonna bother to continue it #even if I pre-mix like a ton of it for them #which is annoying #and that means I’ll have to remove any changes I made to the humidity bc the aspen would mold #so basically the snake gets 3 months of ideal tank conditions before I thrust him back into the previous bullshit
