A little bit obsessed with how people refer to Ned and Barristan as unreliable narrators regarding Rhaegar, cause it's really based on nothing but the fact that they don't think of Rhaegar as the cartoon villain fandom wants him to be. George gives us these POVs thinking of this character whose existence is intentionally vague and people are like "well...this doesn't align with what I think, so they have to be wrong" 😭

#just obsessed with people who think they know the story better then what the story is actually telling us #they don't even consider for a second that they could be wrong 😭#I think a lot of people go into the books with preconceptions of the story and they're unwilling to change their minds #they also do this with Cersei (for obvious reasons) and Jaime (because they think he's biased because of his guilt)#so basically the only /reliable/ source on Rhaegar people consider is Robert 🥴#At this point I'm a Rhaegar stan on pure spite cause people don't know how to be normal about him
