Oh right, did I ever mention I will be going to Prague next week? (Namely because I want to see the alchemy museum. Actually, it's all because I want to see the alchemy museum.)

Talking to Strangers
Multi-Chapter 1/? LINK TO AO3
Penny Parker knew many things, one of them being that the foster system was shit. She also knew her social worker was stupid and useless doing her job, but nobody care, right?
After losing all her family and ending in foster care, Penny founds herself on mandatory group therapy, with some unusual companions. ----- TW: Mentions of rape (not graphic), Violence (not graphic, but mentions of the way of murder), Child Abuse.
English is not my first language, therefore, I'm not from US and I do not know how the foster system works, as well as group therapy.
-----
Penny didn’t know why she was there. Actually, she knew, but she didn’t understand it. When her social worker told her that group therapy would be needed, Penny thought she was joking. In which way talking about how shitty her life was to a group of strangers would help her? To be honest talking didn’t do anything, but this wasn’t really for her. Apparently, the government was forced to take care of all the children on the system that have been harmed because of their incompetence, not only physically but mentally. As it turns out there are many children that were harmed. The people in charge were surprised, I wasn’t. Most people fostering kids only do it for the money, and it was rare if they treated their foster kid correctly. Out of the 5 houses she had been, Penny was treated decently in only one and it was the bare minimum. Of course, there wasn’t money, they never had, so group therapy was cheaper, unhelpful, but cheaper, and that was all they care about.
She didn’t care, neither private therapy nor group therapy helped, talking in general didn’t help. No one understand what she was feeling. Her twin, Peter, did, but he was on her backpack, just ashes inside a cheap container. That was another thing of the many that existed in which Penny and her social worker disagree, her twin brother´s ashes being with her all the time. In reality Penny knew it wasn’t healthy, that she should let go and that her brother wasn’t really there, but it was hard. She was there when their foster father throw Peter to the wall, hitting Peter’s head. The noise alerted their neighbors, and they called the police, but it was late, Peter was already dead. She was placed in another home, with a man called Skip. That was something she could be glad about, Peter never had to live with that monster. Healthy or not, a year later she was still grieving, after all she was only 15 and she wasn’t in the mood to be order around by the person that had placed them in that house to begin with. It wasn’t like her life had to many healthy things anyway.
Entering the building, she wished she could run and pretend like she had attended, but she remembered the look of her social worker and her little warning that they will write who had attended. She wasn’t in the mood to endure a lecture, so she decided to go and ignore everything and everyone, how hard can it be?
As it turns out, very difficult. When she found the room where her group was supposed to be, the last people she hoped to find was the freaking Avengers. Everyone started at her while she made her way to the center of the room, and she felt uncomfortable. A part of her was jumping because she was in the same room as Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, that have always been her and Peter’s favorite scientist, but that was just in the inside, because that was the little part of her innocent that had managed to survive everything life had thrown at her.
What was worse was the man that turn out to be their mediator. The man in particular was someone she already knew and not a friendly one. He annoy her mainly because he liked to tell her who she should see the bright side. Well guess what asshole there is no good side.
“Hi, I’m Tyler and I will be your mediator while you are in this therapy program.” If glares could kill the man would be dead, but that didn’t stop him of talking. “So, as you may see we have a group that know each other and a person that doesn’t know anyone, personally of course.” He smiled at his bad joke and Penny just made an annoyed sound that got everyone’s attention. “Basic information we will see each other every Wednesday at the same hour in this same classroom. If you are wondering why of all things you are in the company of the Avengers,” He directed this to Penny. “We are required a minimum of 10 people per group and as you can see the Avengers are only 9, so using the resent stipulation of the government regarding the foster system, we thought it would be great to allow a child to meet the Avengers He looked around probably hoping for a reaction; the Avengers were indifferent, and Penny was straight up annoyed.
He made a long pause waiting for someone to say something, he was about to continue when Penny talked.
“Don’t you think that is dumb to make a child met the Avengers when they are talking about their problems and when said child is talking about his own problems not to mention how disrespectful it is for them to do so” Her tone was indifferent and bore, but her eyes reflected every emotion, anger being the main one, this man really annoyed her.
The Avengers and Tyler look at her surprised, and a little irritated in Tyler’s case. By now Tyler was used to her replications, so he just ignored it.
“I thought it may be nice to present yourselves and say why we are here before we do any other dynamic, Penny, why don’t you begin?” He looked around and began explaining why he knew her name. “Penny and I know each other from my days at the foster system.”
“I have many reasons why I don’t want to present myself the main want is that I think is kind of incoherent to begin with me, also unfair because it will lead to an unbalance position of information with me having less information about them as they already know each other, now I’m not saying I should go last because then it would be unfair for them” She smile at the end trying to appear innocent.
Tony Stork look amused as well as Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes. Captain Rogers has an annoyed expression on his face that probably had to do with the fact that he was a soldier who always followed orders, and her clear disdain for authority unnerve him. She didn’t care, she stopped caring a time ago.
Deciding against confrontation, Tyler asks for voluntaries. Being the leader he thinks he is, Captain Rogers offer to go first. The presentation was brief, he said his name and something about wanting to get over his dead ex-girlfriend and form a bond with his team. He was followed by Bucky Barens with something about HYDRA, and a certain Sam Wilson being a guilt survivor. Wanda Maximoff was something like a guilt and anger survivor, although Penny didn’t know if that even existed, if it did Wanda Maximoff was definitely one of them.
Natasha Romanoff was probably as reserved if not more than Penny was, the only thing Penny could gather was that that woman had a past even more dark that hers. Bruce Banner definitely had problems with his other self. Then it was Penny´s turn.
“I’m Penny Parker, I’m 15 years old” How much she hated this. “And I’m here because the people in charge rather put money in their pockets instead of helping me solve the problem their shitty system cause in the first place” When she finish, she look at Tyler, daring him to say something to her.
“Penelope,” Damn complete name. “Not here, please.” Tyler was definitely trying to do anything to keep appearances.
“Then where? At least here I have a public that can see how much bullshit the foster system is.” Penny was getting really tired of his hypocrisy now.
Tyler send her a look and Penny couldn’t feel worse. She knew how delicate her situation was right now, one misstep and she will be sent to a special group house for mentally unstable people, and she didn’t want that. People always called her smart, so using that so called intelligence she shut her mouth.
The session continued with Tony Stark and his enormous guilt complex hide by a god complex, followed by Thor and all his death family. Finally, there was Clint Barton, who said that he wanted to fix the relationship with his team members, but he couldn’t hide anything for Penny, he wanted to be here as much as Penny wanted, most of them look miserably, not that Penny blame them.
“Alright, now that we know each other,” Penny didn’t know how Tyler could be so infuriating. “I want to make a dynamic that consist of saying what would you do if you could do anything you want.” He stroll his gaze around the room. “Now, we do have one rule that is: It needs to be something realistic, many of you are trying to deal with grief, so I don’t want things like bringing back your love ones.”
As Penny didn’t know who to keep her mouth close, she speak: “How about killing Tyler?” Seeing his alarming expression, along with the Avengers was amusing, but she added “Don’t worry Tyler I’m not talking about you.”
“We cannot wish for someone’s death” His warning look didn’t stop her.
“Boohoo, I wanted to give Mr. Preachy a taste of his own medicine” As always, her voice revealed nothing besides amusement and sarcasm, but her eyes gave everything someone needed to know she was serious.
Tyler was definitely tired of her antics. Penny couldn’t care less. He let it go and began with someone else; Penny didn’t pay attention, too concentrated in returning the looks that Natasha Romanoff was sending her. When it was Romanoff’s turn, she broke the staring contest to answer. Finally, it was Penny’s turn, although she wanted nothing more than to say murder Skip or Mr. and Mrs. Preachy, she went for something more normal.
“I want to go back to London” Everyone stared at her, surprise written all over their faces. “Not the famous London, but the outskirt, where there are all the neighborhoods.” She wasn’t kidding; she misses London, since she put a foot in this place. “Also, their foster system is much better.” She couldn’t stop being the little shit she is, right?
“Well, I was hoping something less materialistic, so tell me, why London?” Because she wanted to, ass. She was about to say that, but decided against it, be smart.
“It isn’t materialistic, Tyler.” Sarcasm was definitely a copping mechanism. “If you had bother to look at my file, you would know that I’m from London, if it wasn’t obvious enough by my accent” And it was true, although she hadn’t been in London for 10 years, she still had a British accent. Peter die with his accent as well, she wondered if she will ever loss it.
Tyler mumbled a quiet thanks, and after some words Penny didn’t listen, he gave them permission to leave. Gathering her things, Penny waited for everyone to leave before she leave herself. Outside the building she heard some words.
“I just don’t understand why she has to be so rude, the guy did nothing wrong. And what was that thing of wishing to kill someone about, what was his name?” Penny recognized the voice from the videos of detention.
“Mr. Preachy.” That was Natasha Romanoff.
“Leave the kid alone, capsicle, you don’t know what happened between them.” Penny thought that at least an Avenger had a little bit of brain.
She cleared her throat, making jump everyone, except Black Widow, who blinked. Penny began her show to teach something to Captain I Know Everything.
“Oh, how lucky I catch the Avengers, my brother is a fan of yours” She tried to sound amiable and she succeed.
Rogers talk first, clearly knowing she had heard him. “Well, we can sigh something for your brother if you want” Captain certainly was trying, bad for him.
“Actually, he is right here” Penny tuck out the container that guarded her brother’s ages, please to see the alarming looks in the Avengers. “Poor thing didn’t know what hit him. Well, he knew, a wall and Mr. Preachy’s fist” She pause looking directly in the eyes at Steve Rogers, waiting for him to say something, but all she got was a small Oh.
Turning to Dr. Banner she began talking. “Dr. Banner is a pleasure to meet you. My brother and I were always fans of your paper about Gamma radiation, we read ai when we were 10. “Dr. Banner seemed surprised. “Really? I’m happy you like it.”
Penny giggle a little, putting her brother back in her backpack. “Pleasure to meet you” She look at Captain Rogers. “Most of you.” With that she turned around hearing a sound like hitting someone and a low Auch.

Bits and Pieces - Female Innovators  3/28/21
It doesn’t take Women’s History Month for me to think of the strong women who worked hard and sacrificed in their times so that I would have a better life.
Personally, I have three aunts (who never married – various reasons), but endured their times and worked within their fields to make a difference. One of the aunts wanted to continue with the family grocery and dry goods business. However, she was a “girl” and it wasn’t fitting. She did go on to become the district office manager of a national corporation.
Her mother, Anna Wagner Hinrichs, obtained a patent (#1,618,088) of her invention of a special purse.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Many other unsung women stepped up to a plate that wasn’t always accepting or easy.
Coffee on the plains and at the turn of the last century wasn’t pleasant. It was usually overly strong, bitter and full of sludgy grounds. The clean up was no better than the coffee. A German woman, Melitta Bentz, worked to find a better and cheaper way than some of the expensive cloth filters that were coming to the market.
She tried a piece of handy notebook paper, punched some holes in it, put in the dry grounds atop and poured boiling water over it. Drip coffee was born. She received a patent in 1908 and with family help began her drip filters and coffee makers in 1909. Her Melitta coffee company is now operated by her grandchildren, producing 50 million coffee filters daily.
Another woman of the early 20th century who made big difference at a difficult time, was Katharine Burr Blodgett. Shortly before she was born, her father (Burr, a well-known patent attorney) was murdered. She spent much of her youth in France. With heavy opposition, she persisted in areas of math and science, even earning a PhD from Cambridge University in physics.
In 1918, she became the first woman scientist to work for General Electric. Specializing in monomolecular coatings (an exceptionally thin compound that clings to surfaces), one was used on glass to prevent glare and reflection.
Her creation was appreciated by: filmmakers on movie film, the U.S. military in WWII on periscopes and spy cameras and later for coatings on microscopes, glasses, projectors and more.
Blodgett received patents for six of her inventions, including her process to de-ice airplane wings.
Sometimes all we need is a creative woman to get us started. Josephine Cochrane was just such a woman. Cochrane was the wife of a wealthy man and had frequent dinner parties using fine china. Although she had household help to do the cleaning, chips and cracks occurred which frustrated Cochrane. Thus, she developed a unit that held the costly china standing and sprayed with jets of water rather than clinking in the sink.
Cochrane was without a formal education, but was the observant daughter of an engineer and granddaughter of a steamboat pioneer. Fortunately, tinkering was an essential nature to her when her husband died, leaving her a young widow with high debt.
Able to obtain a patent of her design, Cochrane exhibited her dishwasher at the World’s Columbian Exposition of 1893. It was the ONLY female-created design at the fair. The cost was extensive to most homemakers, but was quickly picked up by hotels, restaurants and hospitals.
After her death in 1913, her manufacturing company was purchased by the Hobart Manufacturing Company. The Hobart company was the original business of KitchenAid, now owned by Whirlpool Corporation.
Young people need to be encouraged to explore outside the perceived realms of gender. Creativity truly has no pocket or pigeonhole. These women and others like them over the past centuries are our unsung heroes into the future.

The Acid Reflux Strategy

The Acid Reflux Strategy
 Buy Now
“So, you thought your acid reflux was just innocent annoyance?” my doctor asked.
Then, looking me straight in the eyes, he added…
“You were DEAD wrong!”
I wasn’t sure if the pun was intended.
My wife’s shivering hands squeezed mine as tears ran down her chin.
“Don’t worry. We’ll get through this,” she sobbed…maybe more to convince herself than me.
Frozen with fear, I couldn’t speak.
Only one thought circled through my mind: “I’m too young to die!”
You don’t anticipate this kind of shock when seeking medical advice for acid reflux, do you?
Yes, heartburn makes your life miserable. It robs you of sleep, ruins your meals, and embarrasses you with burp and gas outbursts in the worst places.
At worst, you fear ulcer, which is, of course, horrible.
But death — you don’t expect that!
If you frequently suffer heartburn, you should, however, prepare for the worst.
I tell you why…
Not being able to sleep that night, I googled the health risks of acid reflux.
What I found was terrifying.:
Recent studies prove that acid reflux is the number one cause of not just one or two, but SIX types of fatal cancers (4).
And we’re talking strong connection.
Heartburn increases your risk of…
cancer in the larynx by 286%;
cancer in the hypopharynx by 254%;
cancer in the oropharynx by 247%;
cancer in the tonsils by 214%;
cancer in the nasopharynx by 204%;
cancer in the sinuses by 140%.
Sum it all up, and you’re 1345% more likely to get one of these six cancers than does a person who doesn’t suffer heartburn.
One thousand, three hundred, and forty five percent.
That’s a lot!
“Acid reflux is more dangerous than smoking,”
…the researchers concluded.
Millions of people die every year because they don’t take their heartburn seriously enough.
And there I was, ready to be another name on a grave.
It wasn’t my fault, really!
I’ll explain in a second how I finally got rid of my acid reflux using a simple home remedy that takes only four or five minutes to make.
You most likely have all the ingredients sitting in your kitchen. So, if you want, you should be able to take the first sip within 10 minutes from NOW.
Had I known about this remedy before, I would not have received the dire news that day.
But with what I knew then, I couldn’t have done much differently!
Like most people suffering heartburn, I was loading up on proton pump inhibitors (PPI), medications thinking they were safe.
Well, they are not.
According to a study from Washington University in St. Louis, PPI drugs increase your risk of dying within a year by a terrifying 50% (1).
Another study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association (2) proved that PPI pills drastically increase your risk of stroke.
And, in a new study from the University of Hong Kong and University College London published in the peer-reviewed journal Gut (6), these same drugs were found to double your risk of stomach cancer.
Maybe worst of all: They also double your risk of kidney disease.
Hey, I can live with stomach ulcers, but I can’t live without my kidneys or stomach.
Other heartburn medications, such as antacids and H2 blockers (such as Tums and Zantac), may or may not be a little bit safer. However, numerous studies have also found a row of life-threatening side effects from these drugs.
Putting it bluntly:
It’s a matter of life and death that you naturally address your acid reflux immediately today.
Don’t put it off another day!
Plus, these drugs cost a fortune…
When my insurance company stopped copaying for my medication a few years back, I had to shuffle out over $5000 a year for heartburn prescriptions.
Even after I turned to cheaper over-the-counter PPIs, I was still paying close to $2000 a year for drugs that were actually murdering me.
Okay, finally, some good news:
Additional testing luckily revealed that my cancer diagnosis was a false alarm — “false positive,” they called it.
At that point, however, I was informed enough to realize I had gotten a second chance at life…
…but it wouldn’t last long unless I cured my acid reflux as soon as possible.
PPI and other heartburn medications only temporarily mask the symptoms. They do not cure your acid reflux or GERD.
Therefore, they do nothing to protect you from dying from cancer and other causes.
In fact, they drastically increase your risk of dying.
So, I knew I had to handle my acid reflux naturally…
…which is easier said than done.
The Internet is full of well-meaning tips for acid reflux.
I’m sure you’ve tried everything from baking soda to just carrying around Tums everywhere you go.
When other common wisdom, such as sleeping sitting up, not eating spicy food, and avoiding sugar, chocolates, and tomato sauce, is to no avail, you are running out of options, aren’t you?
So, you get what I was facing.
Finally, my luck changed when a friend referred me to a man named Scott Davis.
Scott is somewhat of a legend in the natural health research field.
He has come up with solutions for numerous health issues the traditional medical system has no answer for.
Among those are acid reflux and GERD disease.
At the age of 84, he dedicated most of his time to research and was not seeing many people in person.
In fact, he seemed quite irritated having to deal with such a mundane issue as my acid reflux.
You see, for someone like you and me, who have endured the pain of acid reflux for so long, curing it deserves the Nobel Prize and its million-dollar award, right?
Scott, however, had helped so many people with heartburn, it had become an old hat.
It wasn’t a challenge for him anymore.
He only helped me because my friend was Scott’s nephew, and really expressed how desperate I was.
Well, he did charge me $200 for a 30-minute session, which I, at that time, thought was kind of a rip-off.
That is until I realized how effective his method is.
In fact, this is the best investment I have made…
…not just because of my health but also because I’m saving almost $2000 every year in medications.
I don’t mind effortlessly banking extra 2000 bucks a year… Would you?
That’s one 1000% return on investment every year — beat that, Wall Street.
But obviously, saving my health and life was my only motivation that day.
Scott told me that the three-step system he had developed works for pretty much anyone, and if I followed it in detail, it would help me too.
“Let’s see,” I thought to myself, quite skeptical.
As Scott gently shuffled me out the door, he gave me a printout of 43 pages listing the three steps he wanted me to take.
Part one was his “quick fix,” – including his simple acid reflux remedy.
I could make the remedy right away, as it included only three ingredients I already had in my kitchen.
I was amazed to feel the pain melt away!
That night, I slept through without any bloating, burbling, or throat burning for the first time in decades.
Imagine the joy of waking up the next day feeling great. No gasping for air and spitting up acid before breakfast.
I made the formula again in the morning, and the whole day passed without any reflux.
This was great!
Several days and nights passed without any heartburn issues. I drank a glass of the formula two to three times a day.
And it was keeping my stomach in great shape.
Sometimes, I would add one or two of the extra herbs Scott recommended to boost the effectiveness of his remedy even further.
Herbs number six and nine on his list were especially effective, and I could get them from any supermarket along with the other ingredients.
The best part was being able to eat and drink anything I wanted (even fattening and heavy comfort food, which can really cause heartburn).
I could have coffee in the morning, a glass of red wine in the evening, and even a bit of spicy food for lunch (I didn’t dare try spicy for dinner.).
Heck, I had even forgotten that a sip of Bourbon wasn’t supposed to be painful.
All I did was make sure that I had a shot of Scott’s remedy when I knew I was going to eat or drink something that I shouldn’t.
Every day, I felt powerful and full of energy and focus.
This was amazing because I had tried literally hundreds of home remedy recipes before I met Scott.
The Internet is full of those recipes.
I’m sure Scott’s remedy has been ripped off somewhere (although I haven’t seen it anywhere else). But you’d have to literally go through thousands of failures before finding it (if you ever do).
Some of those online remedies I tried helped a little for a few days, but they always stopped working.
Others made my pain worse.
Scott’s remedy has never failed me.
That’s except when I failed Scott!
What do I mean by “failing Scott?”
You know what happens when we get a good thing going. We too quickly forget the hard times.
And, little by little, I began to forget taking the remedy.
I would run out of the ingredients or forget to take it with me when traveling.
Or, most idiotic of it all: Sometimes, I thought I didn’t have five minutes to spare to make it.
Imagine having a remedy that you know would eliminate your acid reflux every time, and you just decide in your mind that it’s not worth five minutes to make it.
Well, my brain is obviously not the brightest.
And that was okay for a few days…
…until one night, when the reflux assaulted me with full force again.
As luck would have it — it was exactly a night spent in a hotel, where I had none of the ingredients needed.
Worst night of my life!
Most of it was spent with my head in the toilet.
That’s when I got it:
Just like prescription medications, the remedy was dealing only with the symptoms.
It is, of course, natural and not causing any side effects.
But no matter how effective it was, it wasn’t curing my acid reflux.
I had promised Scott not to get stuck with the remedy and also take the two other steps in his system.
Well, this night reminded me of that promise.
And the hours that passed before I could get to a supermarket and buy the ingredients for the formula nailed that memory in deeply.
When I got home, I immediately began working Scott’s program for real.
The next step was to give my stomach a break.
It wasn’t enough to use the mixture that soothed my stomach.
I actually had to cut out the foods that were triggering it.
Scott had given me a list of foods to look out for, followed by a long list of delicious foods that are good and soothing for the stomach.
I got it all wrong before.
Okay, I knew about sugar, spicy foods, tomatoes, and many of the other obvious trigger foods.
But I had no idea about most of the things on Scott’s lists.
And here is the thing nobody tells you about acid reflux diets:
It is NOT about avoiding certain TYPES of foods.
It’s the food combinations in your meals that are much more important.
Scott taught me six simple fundamentals for food combination for acid reflux.
Using these fundamentals, I’m actually able to eat lots of foods that previously would have caused terrible bloating attacks.
I just avoid combining these “bad foods” with other foods that promote heartburn.
And finally, the third step…
The huge misunderstanding about stress and acid reflux:
You know the saying: “having a knot in the stomach” when someone is stressed or in dread.
It’s no wonder because when you are stressed or anxious, you feel it in your guts, right?
It’s like your intestines are twisted and turned?
Now, when acid reflux bloats your stomach, it tricks your body into thinking you’re under major stress — even when there is nothing to stress about (other than the pain, of course).
This triggers your brain to release a ton of stress hormones. This causes you to feel even more stressed, which again gives you that knot-in-the-stomach feeling and triggers acid reflux.
It’s a vicious circle of heartburn and stress.
That’s why traditional stress management doesn’t ease acid reflux.
Scott, meanwhile, taught me four powerful techniques, each of which taking only two to three minutes and focuses on the mind/stomach relationship.
I began using these techniques anytime I sensed a small tension in my stomach.
And the results were remarkable:
Over and over again, tensions that would have transformed into full-blown reflux before would melt away as I did the stress release exercises.
All I was left with were this great energy flow and light joy in my guts.
Scott is phenomenal!
Combining Scott’s simple mixture, his food plan, and his easy stress relief techniques when needed gave my guts a much-needed rest.
Over the coming weeks, I began experiencing a flow of energy in my guts that I hadn’t felt before.
The heaviness and pressure I would usually have after eating were gone.
Instead, I felt uplifted and energized.
At some point, choosing the right food and food combination became second nature. I don’t even think about it anymore.
Plus, it doesn’t matter if I cheat a little once in a while. It doesn’t send me into full-blown heartburn.
When going out to eat and I know I’m going to consume something I shouldn’t, I take four or five minutes to brew up Scott’s remedy and experience no heartburn problems.
Best of all: I feel like a normal person again.
It’s such a relief not dreading going out with friends because you are that weird guy who can’t eat or drink the same as others.
I can order normally without having to interrogate the waiter about the ingredients in the food.
And I can have a drink or two without fretting the night.
Now, it’s your turn…
Recently, Scott began working with natural health publishing company Blue Heron Health News to spread his knowledge.
They published the same three-step strategy Scott gave me:
Take the simple home remedy (plus the 11 herbs that supercharge it) to stop acid reflux in its tracks.
Identify the foods and the food combinations that trigger acid reflux.
Address the “knot in the stomach” using simple stress relief techniques.
In addition, he included a chapter specifically focused on pregnant women and acid reflux.
Another chapter focuses on infants and children experiencing heartburn.
I highly recommend Scott’s strategy for anyone suffering from acid reflux, GERD, or heartburn.
So, how much does Scott’s Acid Reflux Strategy cost?
The icing on the cake:
Unless you completely eliminate your acid reflux, heartburn, GERD, or whatever else you call it, you end up paying NOTHING…
..unlike dangerous prescriptions or medications that suck $3000, $5000, or even $8000 every year (and attempt to murder you in the process),
…cheaper, over-the-counter versions digging you into a $1000–$2000-hole year after year—and actually make you sick,
…or even natural remedies that may not cause side effects but most often don’t help either (and rob you of several hundreds or thousands in the process).
Not even the $200 Scott charges for a 30-minute session (if you are lucky enough to get one).
Nope.
As much as Scott knows how effective his system is, he doesn’t want to sell it to anyone unless he’s 100% sure it will help them.
After all, you are not wasting his personal time like I was.
Even though he that knows you…
might be spending your life savings on dangerous, ineffective herbs and medications
are at tremendous risk of dying from cancer and liver damage due to your acid reflux.
are suffering every day and night…
… he still knows that you might hesitate to try his system if you are required to shell out a huge amount of money.
And let’s be honest…
I’m sure Scott could provide you with hundreds of testimonials from people who had similar results as I did, but how do you know whether they’re true?
He could also bore you with thousands of pages of scientific studies proving different aspects of his acid reflux strategy, but you might still doubt it will work for you.
The only way you can find out for sure whether Scott’s three-step strategy will work for your acid reflux is if you try it out for yourself.
So…
Here is how you can try the Acid Reflux Strategy for free:
After you click the button below, you’ll be charged a small, one-time, fully refundable deposit.
I think that’s fair, as that is your commitment to giving Scott’s strategy your best shot. Without it, this would just be another one of those free online information nobody gives any weight to.
It also guarantees that Scott gets a little gratitude from those who benefit from his strategy. And he does deserve some gratitude if he helps you heal your acid reflux, doesn’t he?
Okay…
Immediately after you submit your deposit, you’ll be redirected to a page where you get full access to Scott’s strategy.
Start by making the simple home remedy.
You most likely have all the ingredients in your kitchen already.
So, within 10 minutes from NOW, you can have your first sip.
Imagine the relief if your acid reflux was gone TODAY!
If you would sleep through the night without gasping for air, stomach cramps, or throat burning and wake up without upset stomach burping (or even throwing up)…
Wouldn’t that be wonderful?
Whether you experience complete relief tonight or not, I recommend you drink Scott’s remedy every day for a few days.

If you ask for a refund (I don’t think anyone has ever asked. At the least, it’s very rare.), you come out even. Lose nothing.

We are talking pocketing extra $1000, $4000, or even $8000 every single year — tax-free.
That’s the greatest return on investment I can think of — with zero risk (because if it doesn’t work, you lose nothing).
But it has to happen today!
Why?
It’s bad enough to go through another agonizing day with acid reflux when you know there is something that could help you, isn’t it?
Not being able to eat anything you like
Being kept up half the night with a burning throat and a bloated stomach
Having an almost guaranteed ulcer down the road (if not already)
These are bad enough on their own.
But add to this the knowledge that your heartburn is putting you at over one thousand three hundred percent increased risk of six types of fatal cancers.
1300%
That makes it pretty likely that you will get one of those cancers if you don’t tackle your heartburn today.
Plus, knowing that the common medications available for acid reflux cause kidney failure, stroke, dementia and stomach cancer.
Worst of all: This can happen any day!
One minute, you’re fine. The next, you’re coughing blood and rushing to a hospital with stage five throat cancer.
And you know that as you’re lying in the ambulance, you will be thinking you should have done something about your acid reflux sooner.
You know you will!
You still have time today, unlike at that point, it will be too late.
The time to act is NOW!
It’s an ugly truth, but it has to be said.
So, why don’t you click the order button below now and begin addressing your acid reflux within minutes?
You risk nothing and have your life and health to gain.

Part 2 of 3: “Bus Station? Dog Bar? What ever happened to Eagle-Eye Cherry?” – Budapest | Prague | Berlin Travels
Hello! Grab yourself a cup of coffee or tea and if you fancy, a treat too. I hope you enjoy this blog post (the second in a 3-part series) about my trip to Budapest, Prague and Berlin. In the series, I share my hosteling and general overall experience in all three cities, the challenges, randomness and realizations I came to along the way of this splendid journey.
Budapest to Prague
We booked our bus ride from Budapest to Prague, on a third-party website called omio.com (formerly GoEuro.com – it was called GoEuro at the time of our booking), with RegioJet bus. The website was recommended by our hostel roommate who is currently living and studying in Prague (she mentioned a different bus company, Flick Bus, but it wasn’t among the choices).
Something that we could have done but didn’t do, was to go book directly with RegioJet (I was in total chill mode on this trip, and I wasn’t checking various sites or planning as hard as I normally would, if I’m being honest). Usually, when I find tickets on third party sites, whether it be for a plane, train or bus, I go and book directly with the airline, train or bus company. It’s usually the same price or sometimes cheaper, and if there are any issues, I feel better dealing directly with the company.
In this instance, it would have benefited us to book directly with RegioJet because GoEuro did not explain that the RegioJet pick up was from the tram stop. The “station” listed on our ticket had the same name as the tram stop, so we expected that once we got off, there would be a bus station. We were further put under this impression because while purchasing our tram ticket, I stopped inside the customer service office to confirm we were taking the correct tram and the associate said the tram stop and bus “station” share the same name. Later, I realized this may have possibly been a language barrier and she meant that the tram stop, and bus station are the same.
Once we got off the tram, there was some confusion. We were in the middle of a suburban neighborhood next to a school with no bus station in sight and no other travelers to give us an indication that we were in the right place. We asked a local passing by and she pointed us to a nearby bus/train station (one tram stop and also a short walk away) but we found that it wasn’t where we needed to be. Luckily with the help of another local who explained that RegioJet most likely stops on the street, not in the bus station, it clicked, and we dashed back on foot to our original stop. There we found the bus, which clearly arrived while we were searching for the “bus station,” parked a few feet from the tram stop.
*I later checked the RegioJet site and on the homepage, they explain that due to construction at the bus station in Budapest, they will pick up from that tram stop. So, I would recommend, whenever possible, book directly with the company or at least check the company website for details and information. This is something I will always remember to do even if I’m in full on chill mode.
Riding with RegioJet was a great experience. The driver and an attendant checked us in and handled our luggage. The bus was much nicer than I anticipated. The faux leather seats were spacious and reclined. The bus had Wi-Fi, USB charging ports, a tv monitor at each seat and there was complimentary bottled water and coffee service. The attendant was very nice, and even let us keep the headphones with the bus’s logo as a souvenir.
The 6-hour ride was scenic, comfortable and felt shorter. The bus made a stop in Bratislava, Slovakia, to pick-up more passengers, and a quick stop for officials to check passports before crossing the border into Czech Republic.
Before leaving Budapest, we looked up a few hostels on Hostelworld, but didn’t decide on one until we were on the bus (if I remember correctly). Our Budapest hostel, Hostel One, had a location in Prague but it was not as central as we wanted, or else we would have stayed at their sister location since we really enjoyed the Hostel One vibe.
48 Hours in Prague
We chose Rosemary hostel because it seemed perfectly located in the new town, and a very short walk to the old town; from the bus station it’s just 3 or 4 stops, on the tram or about a 15-20-minute walk. We did not make a reservation, and we also only paid for one night in case we wanted to switch and stay elsewhere. We did inquire at check-in if there were enough beds available for the following nights, in case we decided to stay, and there were. We did stay at Rosemary for the duration of our visit (2 nights). We were hoping to stay in Prague longer, but we couldn’t, and it’s ok because I know I’ll definitely return in the very near future.
I really loved the location of Rosemary hostel, and how clean it was. It’s off a main street, Jindrisska, where you can easily find grocery stores, currency exchange, restaurants and cafes. I became fond of Caffe Milani, which I stumbled upon within 30 minutes of arriving at the hostel, while taking a walk to the grocery store for water. They make fresh juice and have delicious coffee and croissants.
Our accommodation was in an apartment, with two bedrooms. Once inside the apartment, the kitchen, bedrooms, toilet room and showers are each separately located off the hallway. There is one entrance into the two bedrooms. You have to walk through the main bedroom – large with a sitting area to get into the smaller one which is where we slept. Each room had 6 beds (there were stairs to a loft in the larger room, so there may have been a couple of single beds up there). The apartment was mixed gender, although the smaller room remained all female during our stay.
The sinks and showers in the apartment are not private, as they are in the same room. There are two sinks and two separate shower stalls with doors. With that said, there was never an issue or feeling of discomfort, and only the same genders were in the shower room at the same time (not sure if this was mindful or just coincidence). Additionally, the door locks, so you have the option for privacy. I left the door unlocked while I showered since the stalls are spacious enough to undress and dress inside, however, I never had to get dressed inside the stall since no one else was in the shower room, and I locked the door for a brief moment while I moisturized and dressed.
I was extremely happy about how clean the bathrooms were, and the shower was so comfortable with great water pressure, so I honestly did not care that it wasn’t necessarily private. Rosemary hostel does have various set-ups – private rooms, with private bathrooms and kitchens, 4 bed female rooms, etc. Most hostels have private room options, and more times than not, with private bathrooms.
Upon arriving at the hostel, we met a couple of our roommates; one guy staying in the larger room, who was our instant resource about Prague since he had been there the longest, and a young lady staying in our smaller room who we shared deep and touching conversation with. She was from China, studying in Germany and visiting Prague and Budapest on her way back home for her semester break. Her concerns and worries were so familiar and like the ones I had while I was in college, or Uni, as it’s referred to in most parts of Europe. All I could do was offer words of comfort and advice, that I hope would spare her some of the unnecessary worry I went through. I told her what I wish I knew then that I know now.
From a young age, we are learning about ourselves, about the world and as we mature and grow, we are trying to form our own identities, and explore the desires of our hearts and express ourselves; but for some of us, somewhere along the way, we are told we need to be a certain way, to do certain things, not to listen to ourselves or what our hearts tell us. We’re discouraged from being ourselves, so we try to quiet the voice in our hearts. We try to dissolve who we naturally are to be someone acceptable to our parents, our family and friends, and society.
The thing is; the soul never forgets who it is. We are reminded of our authentic selves in so many ways –when we do things that bring us happiness, through the experiences that make us feel alive and resonate with us, in moments when our life makes sense; that is our soul reminding us of who we are. It takes so much courage to shape our own happiness, to write our own story; seeing it through, day in and day out. It takes perseverance to endure falling and picking ourselves up many times over in pursuit of joy. It takes strength of mind to stand and walk alone in pursuit of our calling. It takes unwavering faith to believe, when it seems like God is our only cheerleader in this world.
It can take years to undue the damage that one seed of doubt can plant in our mind. Sometimes being human seems so complicated, and it’s easy to let go of what we truly desire and grasp instead to what others tell us we should want.
For me, it’s a daily process of reminding myself that my life is sacred. I have a purpose, and the desires of my soul would not be there if they weren’t meant to be lived out. Being born is confirmation enough. You and I are made of stardust for a reason. God meant for me, for you to shine just as bright as the stars.
Speaking of stars, we made the best of our two nights in beautiful Prague. Our first night, we had dinner at a typical Czech restaurant called Café Svatého Václava in Wenceslas Square. What a beautiful view, especially of the remarkably lit Národní muzeum (natural science and history). It’s definitely a tourist area, but it didn’t feel that way during that time of day. We spent the rest of the evening walking around the city before turning in for the night.
Our second day – we had breakfast at Caffe Milani before going to the old town square and joining a walking tour to hear some history about the astronomical clock tower, Charles University and other sites. Rather than continuing the tour, we explored the rest of the town square on our own and made our way to Charles bridge and Prague castle. We opted to walk and explore more of the area instead of touring inside the castle (next time). Just as in Budapest, I was fascinated by the architecture and charm of Prague. While strolling through one of the many beautiful streets, my travel buddy asked which city I liked more, I couldn’t decide. From my personal experience, Budapest is bold and trendy, while Prague is chic with a touch of romance, and I appreciated both.
We had the loveliest dinner at a restaurant whose name I can’t remember, and sadly, I mistakenly erased some of my notes. I do know the second half of the name is “Garten.” I tried searching on google maps since I remembered the general area of the restaurant but couldn’t find it. It was located halfway between our hostel the bus station.
After dinner we walked to the station to purchase our tickets for the ride to Berlin (and ensure the bus left from the station, ha!). There were a number of bus company ticket booths, none of them had a sign for RegioJet, and because we recognized Flickbus (the same hostel roommate in Budapest who told us about GoEuro mentioned that she uses this bus company), so that’s the company we went with.
On our final night in Prague, our hostel roommate (the guy who was in Prague the longest) suggested we go to the Dog Bar. Although, he had never been, he said he heard it was a cool place.
It’s located on a fairly quiet street and behind a huge wooden door. No sign, noise or indication that there’s nightlife going on inside. Once you enter, you first must see the cashier and pre-load money onto a card to use for drink purchases. On your way out, you return the card, and whatever you don’t use is refunded. We only loaded the very minimum as we were not drinking much, and, I wasn’t about to find out if they actually return the money or not. Once the transaction is complete, you make your way downstairs.
Picture an underground maze-like cave with numerous rooms. We settled into a room where the tables and seats are made from doors, and the seats are suspended from the ceiling like swings. Dog Bar must be where, particularly American, exchange students hang out because there were a good number of young Americans there. Members of the band also turned out to be American, and the last thing I could have ever guessed was that I’d be sitting in a bar in Prague, Czech Republic, listening to a band perform “Save Tonight” by Eagle Eye Cherry. I think I was the only person in the room who knew the words (or so I thought at the time). We didn’t stay very long, but it was long enough to see why the place was called “Dog Bar” when a huge, shaggy dog slowly made its way into and around the room. – in context, Dog Bar is a “cool” place to pass through and check out. I understand the interest; but I would not stay longer than the hour that we did. Also, I can’t with the bathrooms there.
As we were leaving the venue, we met a few other people who were also on their way out. We all recognized we were from the states, and one of them happened to be from my hometown, Philly and the others from Long Island. The one young lady was studying abroad in the city. She showed us around a bit more and took us to one of her local hang outs. While hanging out with our American friends, Eagle-Eye Cherry came up, and I was happy to find out that 2 out of 3 knew the artist and the words to “Save Tonight.” We all wondered, what happened to Eagle-Eye Cherry? He is a talented artist and we shared in the disbelief that his other music did not reach the commercial success of “Save Tonight.”
The city of Prague is a beauty. It’s easy to navigate and it’s walkable. I only used the tram a couple of times, (I didn’t use the underground so I’ll make it a point to do so next time), and it was easy to figure out. I’m excited to return in the future to experience much more.

Ok, long story short. I live in Canada, Ontario, the worst ******* place in the world to be when it comes to car insurance. I am 16 years old, my question is can I call a bunch of insurance companies and ask for quotes? I mean do I have to be at least 18 years of age to do this? Please inform me. I am pretty sure as long as I have my license beside me I can call insurance companies for quotes right? Also what do they ask? Just car Make, model, year, color, sedan or coupe, etc? What else? Sorry for sounding like a complete idiot, I am only 16 I do not know these things. Thank you very much""

What are legal steps to resolving an auto insurance claim?
Allstate was supposed to compensate me for X amount of damage done to my car by the driver who had insurance upto 5 grand. Notice that I did not have insurance with AllState but that because the driver was at fault, and had coverage of upto $5000, AllState has agreed to pay me a portion of that 5 grand. However, the problem is the driver who was at fault is not agreeing to this and demands more in loss from AllState. Whereas, although, I myself deserve more in damage since the car was worth more than the amount I am being compenstated for, I have still decided to settle for less. Now because the driver is delaying the decision to accept the remaining amount out of 5 grand, this case/claim has not resolved SINCE 2010. They wouldn't send me check yet only because the driver needs to accept the offer also. My theory is that whether or not the driver finds the offer fair, is none of my problem. I shouldn't have to wait for 2 years only because the driver refuses their offer. I should get my share at least. Do I have a legal case against the company for taking too long in this regards ? What can I do to resolve this ?""

I'm turning 25 this month and called because i wanted to get a new (hopefully lower) rate for being that age and not having any tickets or violations.
Heartburn increases your risk of…
cancer in the larynx by 286%;
cancer in the hypopharynx by 254%;
cancer in the oropharynx by 247%;
cancer in the tonsils by 214%;
cancer in the nasopharynx by 204%;
cancer in the sinuses by 140%.
Then, you can move on to steps two and three in his strategy.
Now, if you don’t experience the same amazing results as I did, or if you’re, for whatever reason, not completely thrilled with the strategy (Maybe you don’t like the font type.), then I’m truly sorry.
In that case, just send the team at Blue Heron Health News a quick email, and they’ll immediately refund your deposit. No questions asked.
You can use the contact link at the bottom of this page or reply to the confirmation email you will receive with your order.
Scott Davis and Blue Heron Health News put their +40 years of great reputation in the natural health biz on the line, guaranteeing you will be thrilled with either your order or refund.
You have 60 days to ask for your deposit back, which means you can thoroughly test out the 3-Step Acid Reflux Strategy.
If you ask for a refund (I don’t think anyone has ever asked. At the least, it’s very rare.), you come out even. Lose nothing.
But if you manage to cure your acid reflux… just imagine the money you’ll save on medications every year.

Heartburn increases your risk of…
cancer in the larynx by 286%;
cancer in the hypopharynx by 254%;
cancer in the oropharynx by 247%;
cancer in the tonsils by 214%;
cancer in the nasopharynx by 204%;
cancer in the sinuses by 140%.

They published the same three-step strategy Scott gave me:

Heartburn increases your risk of…
cancer in the larynx by 286%;
cancer in the hypopharynx by 254%;
cancer in the oropharynx by 247%;
cancer in the tonsils by 214%;
cancer in the nasopharynx by 204%;
cancer in the sinuses by 140%.

They published the same three-step strategy Scott gave me:
Take the simple home remedy (plus the 11 herbs that supercharge it) to stop acid reflux in its tracks.

Nope.
As much as Scott knows how effective his system is, he doesn’t want to sell it to anyone unless he’s 100% sure it will help them.
After all, you are not wasting his personal time like I was.

Heartburn increases your risk of…
cancer in the larynx by 286%;
cancer in the hypopharynx by 254%;
cancer in the oropharynx by 247%;
cancer in the tonsils by 214%;
cancer in the nasopharynx by 204%;
cancer in the sinuses by 140%.
