Another thing is if you have any headcannons/opinions/theories about how the three of them met? Because Velvette is the newest V, I assumed she was recruited by the others, but how? Do you think she was already an overlord or did she become one only after joining them? Same with Vox and Valentino: were they separately overlords before forming an alliance or did one recruit the other? And if so, did Vox maybe recruit Val to make porn for his media thing, or did Val recruit Vox to distrubute his porn in some way and one helped the other rise to overlord status?

Hazbin Hotel Headcanon Requests - Accepting!

First Part Of This Ask

You're okay! I don't mind at all answering more than one ask for people as long as the asks aren't just reworded repeats of the same thing! You're totally fine, Nonny, no worries.

OH Yes, I can see this for any combination of them, honestly, but my first thought will always be VoxVal. The more I think about it, I'd like to write this with VoxVel, too, because I can hear "Oh, fucking gladly." in Christian Borle's voice for sure.

Oh! I do have some ideas for how they met for sure! I write it in a very particular way.

Valentino and Vox met when Valentino got married to another Overlord (an OC of mine). They were somewhat familiar with each other as Ostello sang under a music label owned by Vox, and Vox was at the wedding. Valentino eventually black widowed his husband with a holy spearhead and three other Overlords before he went for Vox, who managed to plow him so good that it saved his life. They became somewhat obsessed with each other after that. Valentino is a venomous species of moth and his venom is highly addictive, and it was the most intense sexual experience either of them had ever had.

Valentino had been building his empire before he killed Ostello and managed to obtain Ostello's territory and those around it to expand it into a huge section of the Pentagram. He and Vox formed an alliance after they became regulars in each other's lives, sharing both of their territories. Val already had his porn business and Vox had the means to distribute to a wider audience, so they worked together on those kinds of deals to really make a name for Valentino (and his talent).

While I have started enjoying the headcanon that Velvette is Carmilla's daughter, I haven't fully figured out how I want this version of her to join them.

I have thought out, and written about, her joining them after falling from Earth, however. She crashed into the ground right in front of Vox and Val, who were on a walk. The crater she created was massive and so Valentino decided to simply scoop her up and take her home. She was powerful enough to kick his ass, and he and Vox decided to recruit her on the spot. After earning her trust, they were tight as ever.

Let me correct you here. Because as far as I see none of the examples you gave are actually accurate.

Re-watch it, starting at 2:55 min. JM doesn't say a word. RM and V mostly talk, JM sitting and grinning, JK says he drinks white wine. JM not talking most definitely doesn't mean he doesn't know.

Just like JM not saying a word about JK's apartment during the Festa dinner doesn't mean he has no knowledge about the apartment. I'd say quite the opposite, especially when he was just sitting there grinning the whole time the conversation was going on, just like he was in this clip. JM not saying a word about his own apartment either, does that mean he doesn't have one or that he doesn't know anything about it? Or maybe he kept quiet because he chose not to share about it? Same as he decides not to chime in on JK's. Same as he decided not to chime in on the wine question.

As a matter of fact, it looked like everyone kind of knew that fact anyway, JK liking white wine over red.

Not chiming into a conversation doesn't mean not knowing. It's not the first time they both stay quiet about the other, letting other members have the conversation, although it's quite clear they know the answer.

Next the tattoo. I beg to differ with you on JK not knowing where it is. I think I was clear in my post on the matter, which you can find here:

I really don't think JK didn't know where JM's tattoo was. He asks himself the question and after a second of thinking just moved on. There was no self deliberation on the matter. He said it and went straight to changing the subject to "where should I get mine?" My thoughts were that he decided not to share it yet, as JM hadn't shared it with the fans yet. And low and behold, just a short time later JM comes to the fans to tell them about the tattoo.

As I also mentioned in my post, this was a friendship tattoo they were all getting done, JM had his done before the recording of their performances for Proof comeback, of course he shared with ALL the other members where he had it done, including JK. You think that within a couple of days JK forgot all about it? Or that perhaps they are on such bad terms that he never showed him? Really? When we know from Karmy that they were much more than just fine during those recordings.

The whole interaction was playful and funny and yet again, at least in my opinion, absolutely doesn't mean that JM and JK aren't as close anymore. Again, I don't see that as not knowing, more like finding it amusing and arguing with JK about it, all for it to be turned back on him at the end, when he himself is kind of forced to admit it would bother him too (JK mumbling under the moustache he doesn't have, answering for him and JM admitting it to be true at the end, lol).

Think about this for a second: Dec-Jan break silence from their direction. Same for the break after the Seoul concerts. So much so, they don't even show up on each other's social media accounts (the public ones that is). And it's only them, they are the only two not to acknowledge one another on the IG accounts. They interact with the others but not each other. It's something that is going on ever since the accounts were opened. They must be split up, on bad terms, hate each other, right?

But no. Because we've seen that to be wrong, during the Seoul concerts and on White day, as well as in LV and after that the Proof recordings. They are just as close, just as chummy, just as lovey dovey. Just as busy too, getting their sun and moon tattoos done, oh and JK having his JM retouched.

Them not showing us they interact publicly when they are on their down time. Them not being seen together when they are on their down time, well it clearly doesn't mean that they are not interacting or that they are not spending time together. And I think that by now you know my take on the matter as to just how much time they actually do spend together.

As for what you choose to make of it, well that's up to you.

First thing first, make your own conclusions based on watching the full original content, not edited clips here and there, not Jikookers nor TKKs take on it. You watch it, and not once either, because with having to follow the translation you miss out on facial expressions, other's reactions and little nuances that you will see from multiple viewing.

And if you watched it properly and came to a conclusion, well run with that. Decide yourself what to make of it. If you think JM or JK didn't know something that you think is important about the other or that for you that proves they aren't close anymore, well that's your decision to make. But you make it. Don't let others make it for you or push you into it, because they are loud or pushy.

I can tell you what I think, and you can take it or leave it.

I believe that they are just fine. That they are as close as they have ever been. That they were and still are in a loving long term relationship, one that what can we do, we are getting to see less of due to the bands change of circumstances. They are careful, they are private, they are a queer couple in what is turning out to be a very hostile environment and are not ready just yet to be 'outed'. They have NOTHING to prove to us.

What each and every one of us decides to do with all of this, well that's their own decision to be made.

I, for one, will continue to support the two individually and as a couple. And my support won't waver if they turn out to be split or even if they never were a couple to begin with. They are both sweethearts and deserve happiness, whichever way they find it.
