You know, I've been thinking about why do I hate Gilgamesh from Stay Night so much and realized that I hate him not because he's a total jerk (I mean he usually is an arrogant jerk) but because whenever I see the moments when he harrases and abuses Saber I remember that this thing got turned into a fanservice thing for shippers and into an inner joke in the community and that's what makes me feel repulsive.

I mean, he is very annoying and terrible in SN, lowest at his low, but he also a terrible jerk in UBW (and I like UBW) especially in the VN but he doesn't make me feel disgusted at all (surprisingly😅) And don't get me wrong I really hate his misogynistic remarks and I wish to punch him in his guts for that but because it got toned down and romanticized in later fate works just rubs me the wrong way.

#like I get it the shit got popular and they decided to milk it but still...#it's not the best thing to promote in my opinion #and as a person that since the childhood knows how it is to live with tyrant and abuser there's nothing funny or romantic about it at all #it's scary #and yeah sure it's just an anime and blah blah blah #but when someone sees a person that's into loli nothing stops other people calling them a p*do #so I too totally allowed to critize the promotion and romantisation of abuse in anime #and also look at people with criticism that enjoy that or see nothing wrong in that #personal
