The funny thing is, The Cruel Prince made me absolutely feral when I first read it. HOWEVER. It was not because I gave a fuck about Cardan. Because I didn't. I didn't give it a single fuck.

I was too busy having ENORMOUS feelings about Jude and her step-father.

Like?? I'm sorry?? You ruined my life, and yet that is simply your nature?? When you took me in you were being responsible, and you tried your best to love me, but in the process your ruined me for the human world?? Your murdered my mom, but you read me bedtime stories??

WHO CARES ABOUT CARDEN, ARE YOU GUYS FUCKING SEEING THIS???

#I went absolutely frothing at the mouth over her relationship to her Fae family #It was honestly the best part of the book #so I just skipped B2 entirely and read B3 to see how it would end LOL #the romance is good actually. I did came to care about it.#but it does NOT compare to the yummy yummy tension and tragedy and longing #of loving your dead parents and loving your adoptive dad WHO MURDERED THEM #And the Fae aspect makes it so so so so so much more yummy #because as a human. You could always have just. Not killed them.#He could have just not killed Jude's parents.#but he's not human. He's a creature made for murder.#how can you resent him for not being human?#and yet how could you not?#his love and care changed Jude forever. so much that she and her twin; THE HUMANS; were forever lost to the human world.#HER ACTUAL FAE SISTER WOULD HAVE LEFT #But Jude's love and life with her murderous father took her from the human world!!#CAN YOU SEE WHY I'M FERAL ABOUT THIS I'M FUCKING FERAL ABOUT THIS #FUCK CARDEN I WANT THE FAMILY FEELS #(NHAM NHAM NHAM)
