Muir Uaigh
Muir Uaigh, or the Sepulchre Sea, also called the Buried Sea is a location within the Unseelie. The Buried Sea is its common name and merely refers to the fact that the sea, like the rest of Unseelie, is 'buried' beneath the mainland. It does indeed flow to the oceans. It is actually a little deeper than most of inhabited Unseelie. Yet paradoxically, as fae tend to be, the sea is not dark nor dreary. It's essentially their equivalent of beaches. There are geometrical rock structures that can serve as areas to rest, there are rich black sands that can be played and lie in. And the water is very navigable with the underwater scape its own marvel.
However, this is only one part of the Buried Sea. The part that the Unseelie have made habitable and safe. The other half is truly called Muir Uaigh and is meant to be treated like you would with fae...with caution. This part of the sea does appear similar to the main beach, in fact there are several other beaches that do exist but its protection is not nearly as strong as the Buried Sea. Protection from what?
Well, obvious are kelpies. While they cannot charm fae quite the same way, as they have similar mythical origins, they are can be quite aggressive if they are startled or feel that anyone is treading in their stomping grounds. As such they might pummel or trample unfortunate folks or just outright drag them out and drown them (fae are immortal in that they do not age, not that they cannot be killed). They are like other creatures in nature though to Unseelie.
No, the real issue comes with the mermaids. Yeah, yeah, everyone knows what they're like. Half-fish, half-humanoid. Can be good or bad. And yes, these kinds lean towards the siren sort of danger. But in a different way. See, the legend behind the mermaids that reside here and why it is called the Muir Uaigh is that this sea draws souls on the verge of being lost or wishing to be lost. So often it draws Unseelie that do not wish to live to its depths either by jumping from the cliffs to it or walking into the waters. It also draws souls that are in grief or suffering grave misfortune. It is release and freedom. Unfortunate to quote the song, it would take the suffering.
It is believed souls lost this way are reborn into mermaids that have a vagueness or no memory of their previous life. They seem to live normal lives in the sea and do not eat others. However, there are some that have this feeling within to relieve others. And its these...rather motivated mermaids that are a problem. Their songs reaches to find a being's longing. Whom or what they long for, positively or negatively. This what lures others into their depths to be drowned. Even if their bodies are retrieved, their 'soul' or 'essence' is stripped from them and thus can never be returned unless you, idk, risk fighting some fish people for the soul. To which, yeah, you could have time for that in theory. Once a body comes within the water, it is usually wreathed within the long and colorful seaweed to be anchored in place until, well, the soul releases.
Now, these mermaids aren't as irresistible as a siren so it's possible to escape but it's really a 'but would you risk it?' question. They also aren't very durable and can be injured and killed like any other creature. It's also, not every mermaid is like this. Some do just want to be left alone and some just want folks to heal. The latter of these are called caesg, mermaids that assist and actually travel very far (like to rivers and streams on the surface far). They can grant minor wishes to those that capture them. But the odds of getting a caesg vs a mermaid...is it really worth it?
So yeah, the naming sense is fitting in both senses. The Buried Sea is usually what's referring to safer areas, spots that either mermaids do not tend to frequent or have been repelled from. It is named such because it quite literally below the land. Muir Uaigh refers to the sea at large and is a 'sea of graves.' It is the part that fae are to be careful about.

Breeding, mirrors, bath sex for Mhoirbheinn
@thewolfisawake || Send in Kinks and My muse will rate them || Not Accepting
*Note: Even if Mhoirbheinn is eh towards a kink, if Bal is into that kink then Mhoirbheinn's interest in it skyrockets. Not because he's forcing himself to be into something he's not for the sake of his partner, but because Bal's interest in it instantly makes it seem much hotter to Mhoirbheinn. Because it's something Bal likes. Don't ask me how this guy's brain works. As you already know his hard no's he doesn't try to force (not that Bal would ever try to force them himself anyways)
Breeding kink
Definitely not | No | Not Really | Its Okay | Kinda (main verse) | Yes | Fuck yes | There goes my pants (royal verse) |
Bonus: Giving (royal verse) | Receiving (main verse) | Both
Mirrors
Definitely not | No | Not Really | Its Okay | Kinda | Yes | Fuck yes | There goes my pants |
Bonus: Giving | Receiving | Both
Bath sex
Definitely not | No | Not Really | Its Okay | Kinda | Yes | Fuck yes | There goes my pants |

I know we already established that Mhoirbheinn is into the breeding kink in the royal verse because of...all the stuff going on with those two there, but I had to sit down and think about it in the main verse and...not as much actually. Mhoirbheinn has more hangups with the thought of procreating at all in the main verse than he does the royal verse with the Consort, ironically, which kinda lessens his enjoyment of it versus his royal verse self. Maybe it's something that clears itself up in later years once he's worked through his issues with the kids. I will point to the note above though, that always stands, so if Bal did it, Mhoirbheinn is suddenly way more into it. I mean, the possessiveness is a plus anyways. Funnily, he prefers to be on the giving end more in the main verse, and would be a little more susceptible to being caught up in it in the main verse if he were receiving, which is why I had to differentiate instead of just bolding both. Claiming Bal vs being claimed by Bal, which is an interesting way to distinguish the two Mhoirbheinns anyways.
As for mirrors-- Kirei. Come on now. How the hell would Mhoirbheinn not love getting to prop Bal in front of a mirror and sigh dreamily. They don't even have to be having sex. We already know Mhoirbheinn's weirdness with himself re: attractiveness so there's not much interest for him personally in watching himself. But hey, I'm sure Bal would enjoy it because if he held his lover up to a mirror, Mhoirbheinn would get a little embarrassed seeing himself in the throes of passion. Might even get a little whiny and bury his face against Bal, which I know is only more bonuses for Bal.
Bath sex, oh yeah he's already testing the temperature of the water. Already adding the oils. He's about to make an experience so sensual and relaxing for Bal. They work long, hard hours so Mhoirbheinn adores the intimacy of a warm and comforting steamy session of bath sex. He's also completely okay if Bal wants to rail him until he passes out. It's whatever Bal wants.
Please also imagine Mhoirbheinn, planning some fun times, gets so comfortable in a bath with Bal that he falls asleep before he can initiate anything. He's aghast when he wakes up and realizes that A. not only did he not deliver the planned fun times to Bal, but B. Bal had to dry him off and carry him to bed and look after him when Mhoirbheinn planned on doing the reverse...!

Speaking of Solanine, I don't think I've ever actually addressed various things about her. Like I have a bunch of little headcanons so guess gonna rapid fire:
Solanine is mainly attracted to women. She fucks men on occasion but she doesn't consider herself attracted to them (who knows, muses confound me all the time)
Having said that, Norval flirts with her a lot and is the only of the generals that has not caught on that she isn't interested and actually fucking with him
Also having said that, she and Balmoral have slept together. It was prior to him and Mhoirbheinn officially being together. And it was honestly more of her teaching Bal pleasures of the flesh at his insistence.
Mhoirbheinn is one of her favorites to tease because his dour attitude is just funny to her (honestly, it feels like a lot of the generals like fucking with him in different ways--)
She technically met Balmoral first but she wouldn't say she's known him the longest. She actually believes that's Mhoirbheinn but she would never admit that to him because, again, likes fucking with him.
Solanine is considered the oldest with Morgan as second oldest (in actuality, she is still technical oldest with Balmoral being just barely younger than her).
The sin that Solanine is most closely related to is Sloth. She doesn't like revealing such because she finds it a chore to explain her stance on Sloth.
She and Morgan get on as they get in on teasing together and she is the bad influence friend.
While she is an assassin, Balmoral also has her for spying. She can do the work of a network with just one person. It's why her following Balmoral to more personal shadow of the throne sort of deal was such a blow to the militia.
Having said that, Siubhan has tried to convince her to come back which actually can kill the mood sometimes.
During the Corruption, Solanine took over the guarding duties from Mhoirbheinn. She hid in shadows and was the only one that didn't make his mood more foul (because there were guards really trying to take the Royal Protector spot and failing hard).
'Sola' is the nickname that pretty much only Bal, Norval and Morgan use for her.
When the twins were born, she was one of the highest contenders to them of being their other parent. Solanine was pretty unaware of this
Belladonna was her name at the brothel, as all under them had a flower name. This is where she got the name she goes by, Solanine, as this is the poisonous aspect of the nightshade family that belladonna is a part of.
She knows of Aodh's demon dad because they either have worked together or they have run in similar circles of collecting debts.

Balmoral wouldn't considered himself having a stance on sex, love and relations much different from an Unseelie. Since he was considered a 'common birth' fae, he never had the pressure of 'fae purity' that nobility subjected themselves to. As such he never had anyone care about what beings he bedded nor what kind of relationship he put himself into. Much of this has translated to his kingship although there are those in the Unseelie that do hope he establishes a bloodline. This is mainly because he is considered 'monstrous' for a fae and surely, that could translate within his blood. (He's not particularly interested though).
Bal can be a little thotty and a bit of a flirt. Now this doesn't mean he'll sleep with just anyone but that he, like many fae, have feelings of love and lust that run wild. He likes novelty to some extent but really it's as vague as 'je ne sais quoi.' Arguably he's better than when he was a teenager but it's also arguable that he's gotten more 'insatiable' as he's gotten older.
At current, Balmoral is not married and has no thoughts about it in his present. Which is a little bit of a concern to the people because he's the goddamn king and ruling alone. And part of this is simply because he has 'no one' he trusts to rule jointly. The other is that he's fucking busy. Like damn, you're here wanting to 'put a ring on it' but not worry about where we're doing this developments are you ser-- (he also doesn't consider himself all that old for to be thinking about it with himself only being the equivalent of 'several years' Camhlaidh's senior)
Now while Balmoral cares a lot less about who he sleeps with, whom has his heart is a big deal. When he feels, he feels so abundantly that he could drown them. Like he wants to give himself wholly to them and he will not be satisfied with anything less than their being. In some aspects it can border obsessive and/or ravenous. So even Bal can admit that he is 'a lot.' And it is a part about Balmoral that, honestly, with the wrong people can be taken advantage of. So he's wary with his actual heart since those flood of emotions will also translate within his hurt and his sadness. And even then, he doubts he can just 'move on' easily. So there's just about 'no one' would wields this because that's a lot of trust Bal just doesn't possess. But there is the exception to just about everything I said and that would fall with Mhoirbheinn.
