You're their god in this moment, deciding exactly when and how they're going to die, but you're the one singing praises to them. You're just so grateful.

I can't decide if it's more fun to imagine the victim being willing and taking some pleasure and pride in knowing their death is serving such a noble purpose, or rather to have them unwilling and thoroughly disturbed by your gratitude. Maybe it just depends on who you're killing that day.
