Book Local Taxi Service in Chandigarh – It is the Best Time to Visit Atal Tunnel, Manali
In Himachal, a beautiful state in the lap of mountains, the Atal Tunnel is an example of wonder. The Himalayas’ most captivating engineering wonder can be found there. The Atal Tunnel’s connection between Manali and the Lahaul and Spiti area is its most intriguing aspect. All the distant areas of Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh that were previously inaccessible to tourists because of severe weather are now open. It is presently among Himachal Pradesh’s most visited tourist destinations.
What is Special About Atal Tunnel
When Vajpayee was the Prime Minister, on June 3, 2000, the decision was made to build the strategic tunnel beneath the Rohtang Pass.
The Atal Tunnel connects Manali and Leh also and in the world, it is the longest highway tunnel above 10,000 feet. A decade is devoted to making this wonder. The double-lane, single-tube tunnel with a horseshoe shape is a first in many ways.
Due to the geography, it is also the only tunnel in the nation to have an escape tunnel inside the main tunnel that is kept for emergency situations. The Rowa flyer technology, which enables engineers to execute at inverted levels, is also being used for the first time in a tunnel.
Between Manali and Leh, the Atal Tunnel has cut the distance by 46 km and travel time almost seven hours.
Using the drill and blast method for excavation and the New Austrian Tunnelling construction method, 2,37,596 metric tonnes cement, 14,508 metric tonnes steel, and 14 lakh cubic meters of rocks and soil were used to construct this tunnel.
In honor of the former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, on the occasion of his 95th birthday, the union government named the key tunnel beneath the Rohtang Pass in Himachal Pradesh after him.
Best Time to Visit Atal Tunnel
The answer is in your choice what you like most? If you love to travel in winter, then Atal Tunnel has become the most visited place, not only for the nearby tourists but also for the tourists from all over India. Thus, December to March is the best time for winter lovers to experience snowfall.
The months from April to June are ideal if you plan to travel here by hiring a taxi from the best Chandigarh taxi services and want a calm drive. But keep in mind that the Rohtang Pass is blocked during the winter, so you can only go from Keylong to Ladakh via the Solang Valley to get back to Manali.  If you’re looking for our advice, we’d say that April to May is the greatest season to visit Atal Tunnel due to the picturesque vistas of nature’s bloom.
You Can Hire Taxi in Chandigarh to Reach Atal Tunnel
It takes 8.5 to travel 288 kilometers via NH154 from Chandigarh to Manali. One can always reserve a taxi in Chandigarh through the best Chandigarh taxi services according to their plans. Please be aware that the month of your trip has a significant impact on Manali taxi costs. These per-day costs can unexpectedly soar to exorbitant levels during the busiest travel times of the year due to the increase in taxi demand. Another thing to keep in mind is that fixed fares don’t exist in Manali. The demand and the time of year all play a role.
