A snowy kobold (snobold) for my buddy. We're gonna be playing some oneshot games in a winter magic school.

So, a strange bug with the newest version of DF - donā€™t know if itā€™d happen unmodded but hell here it is anyway.
I walked north towards an Ogre town, looking for a Nosferatu. Figured Iā€™d make a short stop there.
First thing that struck me is that most of the non-ogre citizens were completely butt-naked.
Tumblr media
Legends viewer showed that a large part of the towns population is composed of ā€œoutcastsā€, despite them not actually being bandits. For whatever reason, this also causes most of them to be nude. The ogres, pirates and snobolds that compose the ā€œmainā€ population of the town are properly clothed - and so are the visitors and criminals - everyone else is without clothes.
From a narrative standpoint, this is either a strange form of racism imposed by the ogres in this town (although I think itā€™d be less likely considering most of the non-bandit ogre outcasts are also nude), or alternatively this is a decadent harem town, where they sell slaves for all tastes - very late-stage decadency, in fact.
They have elves and the like which are fairly average for this sort of setting, but they have much more exotic concubines as well. Spider-people who are more ā€œspiderā€ than ā€œpeopleā€? Got that. Energy beings? Yep. Frog-people? That too. Wolverine people? Yes. Squid-like beings who normally serve the Old Gods? Of course, and they come with a free kobold manservant!
Even though this is a bug, I gotta appreciate the storywriting potential for this. All I can say is - fuck yeah, Dwarf Fortress.
