the answer is partially bad writing but. its so fucking comedic to me that snippy will see this man doing all sorts of acrobatics, not sleeping, not eating, and with enough industrial strength to both pull a heavy sled for hours and throw A WHOLE CAR at him and his only conclusion is. "huh. maybe he was in the army" rip charles he would be a hit in the morosexual community

(i say partially because interpreting this as snippy wanting to ignore, as hard as possible, the horrors of his technological modern world pre apoc to the point of not even daring to entertain the idea that pilot might have gone through all the nasty ordeals turning someone into a dex entails, would be an interesting read if also a bit of a reach)
