my mom is a snape apologist and was so upset when I had finished reading the books for the first time and expressed such disgust at Harry naming his kid after him. She is convinced that Snape was a good guy and I will die on the hill that he was a fucking adult bully and his childhood didn’t excuse it. His obsession with Lily was gross and though morally gray characters are awesome and it’s great we had one in a widely popular children’s book, snape is the definition of giving me the “ick”

So many women loved Snape, don't get it. He's described as greasy every few pages.
