what is, in your opinion, an underrated failtopia ship that deserves more attention?

Smukrose is one of my favourites, and I'm probably the only person who cares about it all that much.

Smuk is so genuinely kind to her throughout S1, and even after her negative development, Rose shows a lot of appreciation for what he does. He has absolutely no idea how to impress her, and she isn't easily impressed at this point, but he goes as far as getting her a gold ring, and I don't even think he did that for romantic reasons. I think he did it just because she's been in a bad state, and he wanted to cheer her up with something she clearly enjoys. As for Rose's side, I think a healing personality like Smuk is exactly what she'd want. Someone who's willing to stick by her, and adapt to the constant changes in her life, while helping her to preserve her sense of self, something she really isn't great at doing on her own. Smuk is also constantly trying new things, with his cooking techniques, and I imagine pretending to be someone else for months on end would be fairly monotonous for Rose, I think it'd be nice for her to have some new experiences.

For the Failtopia ships you support, what sort of date ideas do you see each pairing doing?

"Support" is basically all of them, so I'll just do the ones I actually ship, since that's what I assume you meant:

Eribo don't go on dates that often, what with Bo still having strong issues with socialising, and they usually keep it simple when they do go out, like a restaurant, or a quiet long walk. The latter is especially nice, since the reason for these dates is usually to take a break from The Incident's craziness (also, usually suggested by Erica).

Lanchi, on the direct other hand, can almost never let a date go quietly. Chi's made sure to bring her girlfriend to every possible outing she can, even the boring ones, and every single one has resulted in a night to remember. This does mean they also don't go out particularly often, Lanc isn't always in the mood for the insanity.

Marion stick to what they do in canon, get some drinks at a café and argue about whatever's on their mind. Orion used to go all-out whenever he took his wife out on a date, not having much else to do with his money, so he appreciates a more low-key experience when he's with Mar.

Smuk rarely takes either of his partners out to dinner, he much prefers to cook it himself, and not wanting him to be left out of the experience, Rose and Bob don't go alone either. At least, not often. All three of them enjoy the simpler Outings, with stargazing being a particular favourite of Rose's (when she feels up for it).

All the other ships I'm a fan of, I don't think would actually go on dates, either because they're too young, or they probably never make themselves official.

Failtopia ship headcanons: Volume One

Headcanons for my 3 favourite Failboat Miitopia ships. Entirely because two of these have no content on Tumblr and I want to fix that. Will probably make a Volume 2 at some point

Erica/Bo: Noticing how terrible Chi was at reading, Bo started a book club to teach her, and invited Erica along too, for extra support. Erica agreed, genuinely interested in what Bo was doing, but found herself struggling to follow along with Bo’s book selections, while even Chi was managing that much. She still attends the club, though, because it’s Bo.

The time between Bo’s death and the possession of her corpse is almost entirely absent from her memory, and the vague image of the blank void she was essentially trapped in for all those years, barely understanding what was going on, messed with her mind. Now, she imagines Erica every time that void shows itself in her memory banks, and it helps to push it out.

Lanc/Chi: Lanc has received 11 different emergency phone calls from Chi because she drank unstable liquids she created, and even though she knows her girlfriend will somehow be fine, it never fails to make her panic. She wants to complain about this, but has to hold herself back, considering the fact that Chi has received 3 calls of this nature from Lanc.

Even though Lanc removed herself from the kingdom and cut contact with her father, she is still the heir to his throne, and in accordance with this, so is Chi. Everyone is afraid of what that might mean for the Powdered Peaks, but no-one wants to confront it until the day Lanc’s dad drops dead.

Smuk/Rose: The proposal scene in Season 1 was never meant romantically, Smuk just wanted to impress a new friend with the thing she evidently loved most - Expensive shiny things. However, when he actually proposed to Rose, he gave the exact same speech he did back then. Rose laughs about this nowadays, but Smuk always mentions how it certainly worked in the moment.

Rose has attempted to cosplay Smuk a few times, but she’s never finished the costume, nor has she shown it to anyone. She claims this is because she “can’t capture his beauty” but it’s actually because she doesn’t know how his weird green ears work. No matter what she tries, they can’t stay on her head. It doesn’t matter though, because the “can’t capture his beauty” thing is also true in her heart.
