A little context, cause this is gonna be long i bet. Melkor was my first monster, he was very much a gentle giant so i sent him to the more populated areas often. i could trust him to not pick a fight with anything that didn't deserve it.
but i got a memory of this girl coming in to be an apprentice years and years after everything happened, and she told me a story about seeing Mel walking through town when she was younger. Her, her siblings, and their friends decided to go mess with him and chase him off, since monsters had been known to be aggressive. Well she, being too young to really know better, ran right up to him to throw a tomato.
She told me he stopped, looked down at her and then his hand started coming down. She thought he was gonna kill her but he just... ruffled her hair. Immediately felt so bad she almost cried and used her jacket to wipe the tomato back off his legplate, and he took his hand back and kept walking. And it made such an impact on her that she wanted to join the MSA.
I don't even know how to say it but that memory just touches me in a very deep way, like yeah. Maybe things really were gonna be alright. maybe we could turn everything back around.

Chumpy, Pumpskin, and Smogkin
This is ridiculous! Tumblr wont let me post pictures. I'll try to get them up.
Chumpy: The Gullible Pokémon
Pumpskin: The Revenge Pokémon
Smogkin: The Pumpkin Stove Pokémon.
Type: Grass -Grass, Ghost / Grass, Fire
Ability: Stall/ Simple (Hidden Ability) -> Unnerve/ Pressure. OR Heatproof/ Flash Fire (Hidden ability)
Chumpy are extremely Gullible. Not surprisingly, this has lead to a population decrease in the last few years.
Pumpskin takes Revenge on anyone who tricked it as a Chumpy. Then, it faithfully serves its trainer.
Smogkin sits in one place for most of its life. What it makes up for speed, is strength and Durability.
