Here's the new Murder Mystery AU I've been working hard on! It's separate from the Xenovirus AU and heavily inspired by TMOSTH (I couldn't get enough of that game despite it being an april fools thing).

After the events of SA2, the world becomes awfully peaceful. Even Eggman quits his villainy, leaving the rest with not much else to do. Life returns to "normal" as they all look for other jobs since heroing isn't a viable income anymore. Vector happens to own a very nice winter lodge that all of the cast meet up in annually to hang out. However, two years ago, something went horribly wrong, leading Mighty to disappear. Despite the rigorous search, he is not found.

Things go quiet until out of the blue, Vector calls them all back after 2 years to try and close the case of Mighty’s disappearance. He says he is in a tough place for money, and nobody wants to buy the place because of the disappearance, saying it’s haunted or cursed. They all come and agree to look for clues on where he might’ve gone, but tensions are rather high. They then realise they can't leave the mansion and friends start to drop off one by one, leaving them to truly look for clues on the murders and find out who might have been behind Mighty’s disappearance.

Bob’s mutations were inspired by spiders & a touch of circus contortionist/acrobatics. 😉 He’s got little radioactive/paralytic fangies that pop out when he’s feeling particularly dangerous.

There’s a massive prison break when a bunch of inmates mutate at the same time & Bob is leading the charge, rallying other mutant citizens alongside him once he’s out. Many are hiding or out of control, & are in need of a charismatic leader who understands their plight 🥺 Basically he’s Magneto-ing the situation lol

Im considering the idea that maybe his “venom” can irradiate normal humans when he bites them and mutate them, or mutate other mutants even further. Lotta potential! I also want him to have webbing of some sort bc laying little web traps just seems right

I couldn’t resist mutating Dierdre! Poor girl, she already has some self esteem issues about her looks and now she’s gonna have a slew of new problems. I think she’s so cute like this tho!

Cows at the local dairy and their milk end up irradiated and causing more problems. A shipment to the school is stocked and Dierdre is the first to ingest any. Her resulting mutations scare her and force her into hiding, but she eventually reveals her plight as she rushes to stop anyone else from drinking from the contaminated milk cartons.

Dierdre has always been tough and athletic, and after her mutations she’s sturdier than ever. She’s ready to protect her loved ones and fight off any out of control beasts with her highland horns! 🐄 💕

The mutant Mr. Burns can breathe out of the water or now he drowns if he tries to breathe out of the water? And he will dry?

He can breathe both on land and in the water. He has gils but he also still has lungs so he can survive on both. His tail would dry out if he doesn’t get wet after too long though, so he has to get submerged at some point. Smithers probably carries him to the bath when needed! A spray bottle will do in a pinch though.

Well... Mr. Burns will never wear pants again after his mutation... so Moe and Bob will never wear shirts again... or they can? So... it will be frustrating for them to always make holes to properly wear their clothes?

Burns usually tries to wear a shirt and tie still, even though he can’t wear slacks or shoes anymore. He’s not trying to appear indecent! 😂 as for the others, yeah they’ll have to modify any clothes they were. Moe can just close his little stomach zipper thing up though, which keeps the tentacle organs inside. I’m sure he’s ripped some shirts on accident though 😬 Bob just cuts 4 holes in the back of his shirts so the arms can get through.

LOLLL yeah he can’t wear pants with his little fish tail… but he can still get laid! There’s um, like, okay so think “Shape of Water” haha he still has a peebis.

And the others can too! I mean, there’s a risk of getting irradiated and mutating yourself if you come into contact with radioactive material but uhh, yeah they can still fuck 🤷 😂

Hey! I noticed Moe and Bob's eyes change colors...

Also... what is with the green lightning they emit as veins?

Good question! So, everyone is mutating because of the toxic radiation that’s been seeping out of the power plant. That green represents that they’re “irradiated” and when a mutant person or animal is using their abilities or under extreme pressure or feeling something intensely, the radiation in their body starts to glow.

Basically, it just looks cool and easily reads as “radioactive!” When designing a mutant character.

Unfortunately for Moe, I started with him haha but I think he came out totally cool! His organs mutated into this sort of endless, tentacle mass that can be hidden, for the most part, behind a zipper-esque scar. He’s worried there might be more to them than is already evident 🫣

So basically: there’s this accident at the power plant and a bunch of irradiated material is leaking from the plant and into the city’s natural resources (which happens on the regular in Springfield but it’s a little more proactive this time lol). This is of course affecting life all around, including plants, animals, and the human citizens. 😱 Things are starting to mutate and while some cases are mild, others are more extreme and are prone to going on rampages through town. A task force is rounded up to try and track down anyone experiencing mutations to try and mitigate any more disasters, so some people are trying to hide their transformations out of fear of being found out and taken away! Most people are attempting to continue on with daily life while surviving chaos from the growing population of mutated humans and wildlife, as well as avoid being exposed to radioactive waste themselves.

This is still a fledgling idea so I’m working out kinks and adding stuff here and there as I think of it haha. Feel free to hop in and discuss! If you wanna throw mutation ideas for certain characters my way, let me know and maybe I’ll get to drawing them!
