It's just always been funny to lil epileptic ol me how anything I say about my epilepsy is always met with extreme disbelief, because people just have this incredibly ingrained, incredibly incorrect idea of what epilepsy is, so much so they'll literally argue with an actual epileptic about it.

#like I have the most common-ass form of epilepsy right #wherein I exclusively have only ever had seizures upon waking up #usually within the hour #and people just absolutely will not believe that #I'll be like 'it's triggered by a change in the sleep cycle'#and %90 of the time this dumbass will be like 'what's a sleep cycle hurr durr'#and usually it's employers #bc like hell are they gonna accept any reason for me being sick #so they'll just be like 'if it only happens of a morning then clearly you're faking it'#'it's just low blood sugar'#smh people just be on some bullshit all the time about epilepsy #don't even get me started on the usual co-morbidities #like depression #chronic fatigue #etc #I've had people with depression tryna tell me 'epilepsy isn't depression you don't know how hard I have it weeeeeh'#like my good bitch #yes it literally is #in fact my epilepsy depression got more neurological basis than your just sad all the time depression #anyway #just ranting now #but ppl just lose their minds about epilepsy istg #epilepsy #disability #ableism
