Welcome on my blog, can't wait to share my thoughts/ideas and all the journey through my university projects with you all.

My name is Eliska and I am a MA Interior design student . I have graduated from Middlesex University London with BA degree in Product Design course. Through my studies at Middlesex I have gained very valuable skills such as verbal and visual communication, design research, design process and development. I have understood the importance of collaboration and how I can improve myself based on feedbacks. I have participated on several projects for companies, for instance Tocalabs and SMASHfestUK. I have been also a developer and organisator of event for kids in the Czech Republic. I've gained the knowledge of people leadership and event managment from the investors to the programme schedule.

calling all my lovely followers!

Do you have a camera in your phone? Do you speak a language other than English?

Then you have everything you need to help me out in a video project!

SMASHfestUK is a science and arts festival dedicated to increasing diversity in STEM fields by reaching out to kids and teenagers from various areas of south London. It connects with its audience by a series of concept trailers, centered around a story of a dangerous solar storm threatening our civilisation...

As a part of my university course, I am creating one of these trailers - the idea is showing a compilation of videos from all over the world - showing people in awe of the storm, shocked by the lights in the sky, calling their friends and families, asking “Are you seeing this? Is this worldwide?”

I am planning to make it worldwide. And for that, I need your help.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED:

Record yourself reacting to an imaginary solar storm, as if it had caught you right here and now. You’re video calling your friend, sending a snapchat video, doing a vine or a reaction video to the strange thing going on in the sky. 

It’s worldwide! I know I have many followers with native languages other than English - speak them! If you know a second language, speak that! If you only know English, show that you’re anywhere else than London - a beach? A forest? A tiny town in midwest America? A known landmark? It’s all free game!

The quality of the video doesn’t matter! You don’t need a DSLR and a mic, as long as you can see the sky and hear what you’re saying, all is well. Use a phone, use a camera, use anything that you have.

You have until Sunday the 7th of February to send me your clips - it’s a short time away, but the clips are very simple!

Your videos will be made into a 1 minute long trailer which will be used to promote the festival on the internet. The narrative of the trailer would work great with a variety of different people from different parts of the world and I think we can make some really cool things together if you decide to help me out!
