Trailers for Sale: Your Ultimate Guide to Finding the Perfect One
Tumblr media
Welcome readers and trailer enthusiasts! We are thrilled that you have chosen to embark on the journey of finding the perfect trailers for sale Christchurch. Whether you need a trailer for work, leisure, or both, this comprehensive guide will equip you with all the information you need to make an informed decision. So buckle up and let's dive into the world of trailers!
Know Your Needs:
Before you start your search, it is crucial to understand your specific requirements for a trailer. Consider factors such as size, capacity, features, and usage. Are you looking for a small utility trailer to transport goods? Or perhaps an enclosed trailer for secure storage? Maybe you're in the market for a camping trailer to embark on epic adventures. Identifying your needs will help narrow down your options and save you valuable time.
Research Different Types of Trailers:
The trailer market offers a wide variety of options, each designed to cater to different needs. Let's explore some of the most popular types of trailers: - Utility Trailers: These versatile trailers are perfect for hauling equipment, landscaping supplies, and other bulky items. They come in various sizes and configurations, with options for open or closed sides. - Enclosed Trailers: If you require added security and protection from the elements, an enclosed trailer might be the way to go. These trailers are commonly used for transporting valuable goods, motorcycles, or even as mobile offices. - Camping Trailers: If you're an outdoor enthusiast, a camping trailer can be your home away from home. From compact teardrop trailers to spacious RVs, camping trailers offer a range of amenities to suit your camping style. Consider your specific needs and explore the unique features and benefits of each type. This will help you determine which trailer type aligns best with your requirements.
Set a Budget:
Establishing a budget is a crucial step in your trailer-buying journey. Consider not only the upfront cost but also the potential additional expenses such as maintenance, insurance, and any modifications you may want to make. Research the average prices for trailers within your desired category and set a realistic budget range.
Explore Local Dealerships and Online Platforms:
Now that you have a clear idea of your needs and budget, it's time to start your search. Begin by visiting local dealerships where you can get hands-on experience and expert advice. Dealerships often have a wide range of trailers for sale, allowing you to compare different models and get a feel for their quality and features. Additionally, explore popular online platforms dedicated to buying and selling trailers. These platforms provide a vast selection of trailers, making it easier to find the perfect match for your needs. Take advantage of search filters and read detailed descriptions to narrow down your options.
Consider Used vs. New Trailers:
Now, it's time to ponder the age-old question: used or new? Both options have their advantages and disadvantages, so let's weigh them out: - Used Trailers: Buying a used trailer can save you money upfront. However, it's essential to thoroughly inspect the trailer for any wear and tear, potential issues, or needed repairs. Look for reliable sources such as reputable dealerships or trusted online platforms when purchasing a used trailer.
Tumblr media
- New Trailers: Investing in a new trailer offers peace of mind, as you won't have to worry about previous wear or hidden problems. You can customize the trailer to your liking and enjoy the latest features and technology. However, new trailers come with a higher price tag, so make sure it fits within your budget. Consider factors such as your budget, desired lifespan of the trailer, and your comfort level with potential repairs when deciding between used and new options.
Read Reviews and Seek Recommendations:
When making a significant purchase like a trailer, it's crucial to do your due diligence. Read customer reviews and testimonials to gauge the overall product quality and customer satisfaction. Look for reviews from individuals who have similar needs to yours. Their experiences can provide valuable insights into the pros and cons of different trailers. In addition to reading reviews, seek recommendations from friends, family, or online communities. These personal recommendations can shed light on reliable brands, dealerships, or platforms to consider in your search.
Inspect Before Purchasing:
Before finalizing your decision, it's vital to inspect the trailer thoroughly. Here are some key aspects to pay attention to: - Tires: Check the condition, tread depth, and overall wear of the tires. Uneven wear patterns may indicate alignment issues. - Brakes: Test the brakes to ensure they are in good working order. Faulty brakes can be dangerous and costly to repair. - Frame Condition: Inspect the frame for any signs of rust, damage, or structural issues. A solid frame ensures the durability and longevity of the trailer. Don't forget to ask for any necessary legal documents and verify the ownership of the trailer before making the purchase. It's essential to protect yourself from any potential legal complications down the road.
Negotiate and Seal the Deal:
Once you have found the perfect trailer, it's time to negotiate the price. Here are some tips to help you secure the best deal: - Do Your Research: Research the average market price for similar trailers to have a benchmark for negotiation. - Be Polite and Firm: Approach negotiations with a friendly yet firm attitude. Express your interest in the trailer while highlighting any concerns or areas where you think the price can be adjusted. - Seek Expert Advice: If negotiation is not your strong suit, consider seeking expert advice or bringing along someone who is experienced in negotiations to ensure you get the best price. Before finalizing the purchase, double-check all paperwork, including the title, registration, and any warranties or guarantees. Ensure that all details are accurate to avoid any future conflicts. Conclusion: Congratulations! You have now reached the end of your ultimate guide to finding the perfect trailers for sale Christchurch. Armed with this comprehensive guideline, you are well-prepared to embark on your trailer-buying journey. Remember, finding trailers for sale should be an exciting and enjoyable experience. Unveiling the Top Features to Look for When Shopping for Trailers
Are you in the market for a new trailer? Whether you're a seasoned trailer owner or a first-time buyer, finding the right trailer can be a daunting task.
With so many options for trailers for sale Christchurch, it's crucial to know what features to look for to ensure you make an informed decision. In this blog post, we'll unveil the top features you should consider when shopping for trailers. So, buckle up and get ready to embark on a journey to find your perfect trailer!
Tumblr media
1. Durability: Built to Last
When investing in a trailer, durability should be at the top of your checklist. You want a trailer that can withstand the test of time and handle heavy loads without compromising its structural integrity.
Look for trailers made from high-quality materials such as steel or aluminium. These materials offer excellent strength and resistance to corrosion, ensuring your trailer remains sturdy and reliable for years to come.
2. Size Matters: Finding the Perfect Fit
Trailers come in various sizes, and choosing the right one is crucial for your hauling needs. Consider the intended purpose of your trailer. Will you be using it for transporting small equipment or larger items?
Think about the dimensions and weight capacity you require. Opting for a trailer that is too small may limit your hauling capabilities, while one that is too large could be unnecessary and difficult to manoeuvre. Find the perfect fit that matches your needs and makes your hauling tasks a breeze.
3. Hitch Type: A Solid Connection
The hitch is the crucial link between your vehicle and the trailer. It's important to select the right hitch type to ensure a secure connection and safe towing experience. The two common types are the ball hitch and the fifth-wheel hitch. The ball hitch is versatile and compatible with most vehicles, making it a popular choice for small to medium-sized trailers.
On the other hand, the fifth-wheel hitch offers superior stability and is ideal for larger trailers. Consider your towing vehicle's compatibility and choose the hitch type that suits your requirements.
4. Brakes: Safety First
When it comes to safety, trailer brakes play a vital role. They help in maintaining control and stopping power while towing heavy loads. Ensure that the trailer you choose is equipped with reliable brakes that are easy to maintain and provide excellent stopping capabilities.
Electric brakes are commonly used and offer better control, especially for larger trailers. Make safety your priority by selecting a trailer with efficient braking systems.
5. Storage Solutions: Convenience on the Road
Storage is often an overlooked aspect when exploring trailers for sale Christchurch, but it can significantly impact your overall experience. Having ample storage space allows you to carry all your necessary tools, equipment, and supplies.
Look for trailers with built-in compartments, toolboxes, or racks to keep your belongings organized and secure during transport. Easy access to your gear will make your journeys hassle-free and enjoyable.
Conclusion
Now that you're armed with the knowledge of the top features to look for when shopping for trailers for sale Christchurch, you can approach your purchase with confidence.
Remember, prioritize durability, find the right size, choose the appropriate hitch type, prioritize safety with reliable brakes, and don't forget about storage solutions. By considering these factors, you'll be well on your way to finding the perfect trailer for your needs.

Thrilling Guided Tours on Bicycle of South New Zealand
There are few things as breathtaking and exhilarating as traveling with one of several outstanding guided tours on bicycle of New Zealand.  New Zealand is comprised of two major islands, the North Island and the South Island.  Of the two, the South Island offers a more rustic look at the countryside as it rushes beneath your feet on a bicycle.  This type of guided tour is not for the casual cyclist. Hills and mountains are part of the landscape and, while you can walk these areas, it’s better if you’ve worked out on a bicycle a little bit beforehand.
One of the nicest guided tours of the South Island of New Zealand begins when you land in Christchurch.  This large city is the take off point for many who are going to Antarctica, so if you have time between flights, take a tour of the Antarctic Centre, just a couple of blocks from the airport.  It’s a museum of sorts about exploration in Antarctica.
Most likely, guided tours of the South Island won’t actually start in Christchurch and you’ll be taking a propeller plane (yes, a propeller plane) over the vast and enormous mountain range that runs down the middle of the island and you’ll arrive at a spit of an airport in a village like Hokitika, where the bicycling really begins.
Some may ask why there are guided tours of this part of New Zealand at all because there is really only one main road traveling south along the shoreline of the rustic and wild Tasman Sea.  You can’t get lost.  Even so, the tour guides will carry extra food and will probably have a bike trailer to pick up the bikes of stragglers that can’t finish the day’s ride. The riders take off in the direction of the guide and move along at their own pace.
It’s very easy to see why there are guided tours of this part of the country.  The mountains are ever-present on your left, there are beautiful, unspoiled forests and the rivers run clear and are of a striking aqua color due to the mineral content of the water coming off the mountains.  Remember, though, they drive on the opposite side of the road as in the US so you have to train your mind to watch for any traffic accordingly.
In truth, there is very little traffic and bicycles own the road on most guided tours of the South Island.  One can bicycle three full days without ever seeing even a small village.  Instead, there are bed and breakfast inns or small motels along the way and many meals can be made by the tour guide.
If you’re on one of these guided tours of New Zealand, you’ll not only see Mount Hercules but you’ll feel like Hercules (or very tired) after climbing the impressive mountain.  And don’t forget the exhilaration of riding back down.  One of the other highlights of your tour will be the Franz Josef Glacier, south of Whataroa.  It’s a gigantic dirty piece of ice dangling in the crevice between two mountains. Still, it’s an impressive site to see.
Most guided tours of this type will allow you to travel 500 km (300 miles) in about a week.  You’ll be on the bicycle much of the time but viewing this magnificent scenery from this vantage point can’t be beat.  At the end of your tour, you can fly home via Queensland, in the southern part of the island.

Rent a motorhome in New Zealand
Buy a motorhome in New Zealand - how it works
In time you can do a lot. I would say that it is worth considering. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I only used that myself once. In a campsite that was right next to the library. Very convenient. 500 MB is not a lot. However, Spark has Experience Christchurch on vacation with its exciting museums, small pubs and taverns. Then, on your camper trip, discover the breathtaking natural treasures of the South Island, such as the Franz Josef Glacier and the snow-covered Mount Cook. Manoeuvrable panel van or do you prefer attached living space? If you are planning a trip through New Zealand, you can book an individual vacation with the motorhome or caravan. Make the right choice between two completely different forms of mobile travel.
What is the time of year in Australia now?
If you follow the statistics authority of New Zealand, 4.9 million New Zealanders live there (2019) and 27.6 million sheep (2016). In 1982 there were still over 70 million sheep.
If you choose to travel New Zealand in a rented caravan, you will not receive a self-contained vehicle. A so-called caravan is a trailer without its own drive, which must be pulled by a separate vehicle. During such a tour, travelers drive in their own car or rental car and retreat to the attached living area in the evening. Please note that the vehicle is suitable for the corresponding train load and, if the trailer weight exceeds 750 kg, you need a special driver's license to travel through New Zealand with a caravan.
If this was not issued in English, however, you will also need a certified translation of the driver's license.
We initially stayed close to Christchurch so that if there were any problems with the Camper should be able to drive directly to the depot.
In New Zealand it is sometimes really stormy and I find it comforting to have this protection.
If you rent a camper to visit New Zealand, you should both tour over plan the North Island as well as the South Island.
You start your tour with the camper through New Zealand in Nelson at the northern tip of the South Island.
No problem. Drive to the Spark Station, surf the internet and then enjoy the trip offline. By the way, you not only save costs when hiking, you can often have nature all to yourself. Not many travelers get lost on the numerous alternative hiking trails away from the marketed, expensive routes (e.g. Great Walks).

It makes sense to use these kitchens, especially for smaller vehicles. You can also get in touch with other travelers and get valuable tips for the further journey. Christchurch is the main port of call to pick up a motorhome for an adventure on the South Island.

Rent a camper New Zealand
During such a tour, travelers drive in their own car or rental car and retreat to the attached living area in the evening. Please note that the vehicle is suitable for the corresponding train load and, if the trailer weight exceeds 750 kg, you need a special driver's license to travel through New Zealand with a caravan. Are you imagining driving an Audi A3 or Jaguar XF as a rental car during your vacation? We have to tell you that we cannot guarantee either the model or the brand. The cars shown are just examples that show which vehicles fall into this category. Many providers only rent vehicles to people over the age of 21. Fortunately, there are exceptions you can use if you are younger. Huge rock formations in the Bay of Islands, icy glaciers in the Milford Sound region or bubbly hot geysers in Rotorua - if you want to experience impressive natural experiences, you don't have to look far in New Zealand. This makes New Zealand an ideal place for a trip in a campervan. So you can best experience the closeness to nature and at the same time travel flexibly and independently. There is left-hand traffic and even though it may take some getting used to at first, you will soon get used to it. Here there is still right before left - so be careful! Take a hike in Aoraki / Mt Cook National Park. The Hooker Valley Track, which starts at the White Horse Hill campsite, leads over suspension bridges and ends at the glacial lake with floating icebergs. After a successful examination, it takes up to five days, then you will receive the certificate in the mail.
Tumblr media
Then it makes sense to explore the North Island in all its facets. From Auckland to Wellington you will get to know many of New Zealand's most fascinating highlights. We pass idyllic hilly landscapes, the cinematic home of the "Shire" in "The Lord of the Rings", along picturesque small islands and on the Whangarei Heads Tourist Drive, where you can expect some of New Zealand's most spectacular panoramas. You will also marvel at the spectacular Lake Taupo and thousands of years old volcanoes.
Tumblr media
Camper rentals in New Zealand are increasing rapidly because both tourists and locals go on vacation. Especially over Christmas and New Year's Eve, the prices are disproportionately high.
When is the best time to travel to New Zealand?
That means: the winters are mild and the summer months are warm. In summer you can have a great time on the beach here. December, January, February and March are the best travel times for a beach holiday on New Zealand's North Island. Many holidaymakers choose this travel time for their New Zealand trip.
There is a difference to the main island about 1 hour.
Not only since New Zealand became "Middle Earth" for the film "The Lord of the Rings", it is the dream of many people, the fascinating nature of the Pacific Islands with their immense biodiversity and to experience green landscapes.
Swim with dolphins, dive into the world of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins and simply explore a completely different country - all this is possible in New Zealand.
If you start the route in Christchurch, you can swim with dolphins in the nature reserve beforehand. Then continue to Oamaru, where you should definitely go to the harbor if you want to see penguins. Campervan camping park You can also see penguins in the Catlins Forest Park. But not only the small tailcoats can be seen there, sea lions have also found a home there. Wanaka and Lake Hawea are also not to be scoffed at. HAPPYCAR wishes you lots of relaxation and an eventful vacation in New Zealand. If you need more information on car rental booking and cancellation, call our service team on the free hotline 040 11 92 18. Another characteristic of New Zealand's flora and fauna is the almost complete absence of mammals, instead there are all sorts of unique ones Bird species such as the ratite kiwi or the kea parrot. A hike to the 20m high waterfall Purakaunui Falls is worthwhile here. Those interested in culture plan a longer stop in Oamaru and stroll through the old town with remarkable colonial houses. The city is also known for the numerous penguins that live in the harbor. The journey to the shimmering turquoise Lake Tekapo takes you through untouched nature.

When is summer in New Zealand?
Maori culture in New Zealand. Māori are the indigenous people of New Zealand. They are called Tangata Whenua and came to the islands from their mythical Polynesian homeland Hawaiki more than 1000 years ago. Today, around 14% of New Zealand's total population is Maori.
Warning, left-hand traffic applies! In the country, the roads are usually well developed and there is a wide selection of campers to rent in different versions - but in the high season you should definitely reserve in advance. There are a variety of well-equipped places to stay in almost every city. Wild camping is not strictly prohibited. However, travelers should first check the rules at the local visitor information center.

Trailers For Sale: Finding The Perfect Hauling Companion For Your Adventures
Whether you're a weekend camper, a professional contractor, or a recreational enthusiast, having the right trailer can make all the difference in transporting your goods and gear. In this blog, we'll explore the world of trailers for sale Christchurch, helping you navigate the options and find the perfect hauling companion for your unique needs. From utility trailers to camping trailers, enclosed trailers to livestock trailers, we'll cover the essentials to consider when searching for your next trailer.
Tumblr media
Understanding Your Hauling Needs
Before diving into the world of trailers, it's essential to assess your hauling requirements. Consider the type of cargo you'll be transporting, the weight and dimensions of your loads, and any specific features or accommodations you might need.
Are you looking for a trailer to transport motorcycles, ATVs, or boats? Or perhaps you need a trailer for your business, capable of hauling construction equipment or merchandise. Understanding your hauling needs will help narrow down the options and ensure you find a trailer that can handle your specific requirements.
Exploring Trailer Types and Features
The trailer market offers a wide range of options to suit various purposes. Here are a few popular types of trailers to consider:
- Utility Trailers: Versatile and practical, utility trailers are ideal for hauling general cargo, landscaping equipment, or small vehicles.
- Enclosed Trailers: Offering protection from the elements, enclosed trailers are great for securely transporting valuable goods, motorcycles, or even serving as mobile workshops.
- Camping Trailers: If you're an outdoor enthusiast, camping trailers provide a convenient and comfortable way to enjoy your adventures, with options ranging from pop-up campers to spacious travel trailers.
- Livestock Trailers: Designed for transporting animals safely and comfortably, livestock trailers are essential for farmers, ranchers, and horse owners.
- Flatbed Trailers: Flatbed trailers provide an open platform for hauling large or irregularly shaped items, making them popular in the construction, transportation, and agricultural industries.
Quality and Durability
When investing in a trailer, durability is key. Look for trailers constructed from high-quality materials such as steel or aluminum, as these offer strength and longevity. Consider the trailer's weight capacity, suspension system, and towing compatibility to ensure it can handle your intended loads.
Reading reviews and seeking recommendations from trusted sources can provide insights into the durability and performance of specific trailer brands and models.
Budget Considerations
Establishing a budget is crucial when shopping for trailers. Prices can vary significantly depending on the type, size, brand, and additional features. Consider your budget constraints and weigh them against your hauling needs to find the best fit. Keep in mind that investing in a reliable, well-built trailer can save you money in the long run by minimizing maintenance and repair costs.
Researching and Inspecting
Once you've identified the type of trailer that suits your needs and budget, conduct thorough research to find reputable sellers or dealerships.
Explore their inventory, read customer reviews, and compare prices. When inspecting a trailer, pay attention to its overall condition, tires, brakes, lights, and any other features specific to your requirements. If possible, take it for a test drive to ensure it meets your expectations and handles well on the road.
Conclusion
Finding the right trailers for sale Christchurch for your hauling needs requires careful consideration of factors such as cargo type, trailer type, quality, budget, and research. By understanding your requirements, exploring various trailer options, and conducting a thorough inspection, you can confidently choose a trailer that will serve as your reliable and trusted companion

Living and working in New Zealand: how high are rents and house prices, wages and salaries? How do I get a residence permit? Working holiday, visa and lots of trips to New Zealand.
These places are in nature reserves and are usually very cheap. But only a small equipment is available. However, if you want to spend the night in the beautiful nature, it is worth renting a vehicle with a toilet on board.
How much is New Zealand?
There are three categories of campsites in New Zealand: "Freedom Camping" - cost: NZD 0. "DOC" (Departmend of Conservation) - Costs: Between 6 to 10 NZD per person. "Holiday Parks" - Cost: Between 15 to 30 NZD per person.
The roads and infrastructure are very well maintained, the residents are friendly and the country has a fascinating flora and fauna. Your tour with the campervan through New Zealand starts in Wellington, where the Karori Wildlife Sanctuary invites you to hike and a ride with the Wellington Cable Cars ensures a very special experience. Once you've thoroughly explored the city, travel to Levin.
Tumblr media
These camper vehicles are more agile and easier to navigate than the habitable trailers, especially when touring larger cities. Up to a weight of 3.5 tons, a conventional car driver's license is sufficient to rent the panel van. Before driving, inquire about road traffic regulations, especially those relating to alcohol consumption. It is advisable not to drink anything alcoholic if you get behind the wheel as the penalties are very strict. Speed limits are also strictly observed, so keep an eye out for speed limits. The city is also known for the numerous penguins that live in the harbor. The journey to the shimmering turquoise Lake Tekapo takes you through untouched nature. MotorHome Republic offers the largest selection of vehicles as the company works with more than 50 different suppliers. Other important rental car destinations New Zealand
Tumblr media
You should plan around 20-30 days for this route.
But also around Christchurch and Queenstown you can expect fascinating routes.
Lake Tekapo is one the highlights of the route.
This includes not only left-hand traffic, but also the climate. So there are things you have to consider before and during your trip. If you're ready for the beach, it's only a 20-minute drive away. On-site bush walks or beyond, public walks are available.
In which sea is New Zealand located?
The warmest months are January and February. The average temperature in Auckland in the north is 20 ° C, in Wellington at 16 ° C and in Dunedin in the south of the South Island at 15 ° C. It gets coldest in July. The thermometer then shows an average of 11 ° C in Auckland, 8 ° C in Wellington and 6 ° C in Dunedin.
In the romantic mountain and water world you can experience the breathtaking nature or take a boat trip. You can easily get to Marlborough by ferry. Motorhome rental in Auckland If you want to travel in New Zealand by motorhome, you shouldn't take a long distance on the day of arrival. If you'd rather experience the nature around Wellington, you can visit Kapiti, for example. Kapiti is the perfect place to look at the untouched nature and to relax. You don't want to relax and prefer to do sports? Then Hutt Valley is suitable for you.

The Kiwi 2-3 bed motorhome is perfect for a pleasant and cozy trip through New Zealand for two, but also offers enough space for a family with a child. This motorhome is both cost-saving and great fun when traveling in New Zealand. Auckland on the North Island of New Zealand stretches over 50 inactive volcanoes. Beach lovers should definitely drive the RV north-west towards Great Exhibition Bay, because the Ninety Mile Beach is worth seeing.
camper or caravan? Experience New Zealand in a suitable camper
A motorhome, on the other hand, has an autonomous drive and combines the cab and living area on four wheels. These camper vehicles are more agile and easier to navigate than the habitable trailers, especially when touring larger cities. When renting a camper in New Zealand, keep in mind that the island is driven on the left side of the road. This must be taken into account especially when turning. Also note that driving a rental vehicle on New Zealand's unpaved roads is not allowed. Use the exclusive travel offers and benefits for ADAC members when planning. Advice and booking is also conveniently done online, by phone or in the ADAC travel agency. So you can choose the right motorhome from the wide range of offers and book cheaply. cheap campervan hire NZ New Zealand also has great campsites outside of the Northland and Auckland regions. Those with a power connection are mostly integrated into the Holiday Parks facilities - a place for one night is sometimes available for a price of NZ $ 11-20.
The location directly on a lagoon is priceless.
The fees depend on the respective provider.

Hard to miss! Striking green and purple, this is how Jucy Campers camper vans look. Due to their size, they are easy to use, but do not have their own shower and toilet. You need either an international driver's license or a translation of your driver's license into English.
Welcome to Maki Car Rental New Zealand
It takes about 6 hours to get there, but on the way you can discover beautiful beaches and small towns. Upon arrival, you will find yourself at the top of New Zealand, standing next to the famous lighthouse, from where you can see how the Tasman Sea and the Pacific meet in front of you. To plan your individual vacation in advance, it is important to rent a motorhome in New Zealand.
Tumblr media
Flights from Christchurch back to Aukland can often be had for as little as 40 euros per person. One-way rentals are particularly worthwhile when traveling across both islands (usually even free with Maki Car Rental), as you only need the ferry between Wellington and Picton once. This can save you a lot of time and money. In cooperation with Global Wings Reisen GbR in Berlin, Wendekreise now also offers cheap flights to New Zealand. So you can check the availability of our motorhomes and book your flight accordingly.

EXPANDABLE TRAILER PROVIDING 70% EXTRA ROOM ONCE TURNED 90 DEGREES
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Camping and caravanning will always be about getting lower towards the bare requirements of existence, living existence on the highway and subject to the weather. However, Nz based design and architecture firm W2, has made the decision to assist amp in the experience! Their revolutionary trailer design, ‘Romotow’, the name a combination of ‘room to move’ contains all of the usual RV features however with a cutting-edge 90-degree twist. Using the press of the simple electric button, it swivels open, rotating at 90 levels, to show a wide open synthetic teak deck. With this particular, zinc heightens the living area by 70 %, and also the area may also be used like a party deck! Calculating 30 ft by 8.5 ft and offering 290 square ft of just living space (exactly the same as many small apartments nowadays), the caravan comes with a full time income area, bed room, kitchen area and toilet, with stylish fixtures and spacious interiors. Six years after it’s a comment, the USB formed trailer is finally being built in Christchurch, Nz. They have branded it as being “the next frontier in mobile living”. Made with lightweight materials and based on calculated the rules of aerodynamics, Romotow is really a “radical departure in the boxy and cumbersome hybrid travel trailer and caravan idea of lasyears solar power panels with 400Ah battery for power (for whenever it's off-grid), a clip may also be lined having a condition-of-the-art seem system, running with the living space, bed room, and deck. Two adults can sleep easily within the bed room, and the other two within the living area’s fold-out couch. A desk enclosure package with awnings and screens accompany a clip, allowing four additional people so that you can sleep around the deck. A sheltered BBQ deck area, attractive furniture, and sliding doorways are also fun features that come with the Romotow. Sleek, innovative and highly comfortable, the way forward for a clip and caravan is here now. trailer design guidelines trailer design software trailer design plans trailer design ideas enclosed trailer design trailer plans pdf truck trailer design trailers: how to design and build Read the full article

The Changeover
Tumblr media
"The Changeover," about a teenage girl trying to save her kid brother after he's captured by a malevolent creature, is a coming-of-age drama, a horror movie, and a "hero's journey" film, rolled into one grandly entertaining package. It's creepy, moving, and ultimately inspirational, and its more disturbing images stick in the mind. It's the kind of movie that could become a sleeper hit if it had marketing muscle behind it, but alas, it doesn't; it's an independent film that's opening this week on a handful of screens in North America after playing Australia and New Zealand months earlier. It's worth seeking out no matter how much trouble you have to go to, because it's special: assured but modest, full of surprises. It doesn't go the way you expect it to, and yet in retrospect each move seems inevitable, like the incremental fulfillment of a prophecy.
The heroine and narrator, Laura Chant (Erana James), is a Christchurch, New Zealand teenager living with her single mother Kate (Melanie Lynskey) and her adorable kid brother Jacko (Benji Purchase) in the aftermath of an earthquake. She has otherworldly powers, but they're undeveloped and largely unacknowledged by her. We glimpse them in the movie's early narrated sequences (which suggest a nonexistent Terrence Malick horror film) and in moments when she seems to communicate telepathically with a handsome but unnervingly intense classmate named Sorensen Carlisle (Nicholas Galitzine).
The story kicks into gear when Carmody Braque (Timothy Spall), a soft-spoken loner who lives in the local rail yard, befriends Jacko, inviting him into the trailer where he stores his prize collection of dolls and stuffed animals. Carmody is an affable fellow, and Spall plays him in a way that keeps both Laura and the audience off-balance: at first it's hard to tell if he's truly dangerous or if it's our paranoid imagination assuming the worst. A key theme established early by co-directors Miranda Harcourt and Stuart McKenzie is the importance of young people, girls especially, learning to trust that inner voice that tells you that you're in danger, even when the person triggering that alarm—and perhaps the society that enfolds all of us—is insisting that everything is okay. Even the heroine's mother gaslights her, though of course without meaning to; Lynskey plays her as a woman who only wants what's best for her children, based on her own understanding of reality.
Carmody is, in fact, a very bad man. He declares himself Jacko's special friend and caretaker, lures him back to his hideout, and marks him with an ink stamp that lets him enter the boy's soul and control him like a puppet.
Did you get a chill just now? I did, and I've already seen the movie.
From there, "The Changeover" becomes a kind of supernatural detective story, with Laura feeling guilty over disregarding that voice and letting Carmody...well, "violate" is a strong word, but what happens between him and Jacko absolutely feels like a violation—an unholy breach of trust between adult and child. It's not physical or sexual abuse by any traditional definition if the phrase, but feels somehow equally vile. Carmody makes it clear that he's been doing this kind of thing for a long time (an early Freudian slip refers to an event that happened a thousand years ago) and will continue doing it because no one is strong enough to stop him.
To rescue her brother, Laura has to mold her powers and battle Carmody. That requires her to get close to Sorensen, his mother (Lucy Lawless), and his grandmother (Kate Harcourt), a family of special people who have mastered their own abilities. (I'm being vague here about the nature of the heroes' and villain's powers, because the exact way in which "The Changeover" fits into established mythologies is part of what makes it fun.) Laura also has to overcome her paralyzing fear of Carmody, who's like one of those small-town devils from a "Twilight Zone" episode or Stephen King story. Most of all, she must learn to accept herself as an autonomous adult, not a girl who's content to be molded and directed.
There are elements of feminist empowerment fantasy in "The Changeover." The title not-too-subtly hints at a crossing-over from girlhood to womanhood, and the moon plays a role in the story. There are times when the film feels like a light-magic version of "Carrie" in which an alienated female loner unleashes her dormant power in a way that's righteous rather than nihilistically destructive. Laura is a decent person at heart, and it's stirring to watch her grow into a defender of people who can't defend themselves. Children most of all.
The filmmakers communicate all of this information through an aesthetic that feels right for the setting, tone, and themes. When uncanny events happen, they're presented matter-of-factly, like the simply rendered, theatrical time/space shifts in movies like "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" and "Being John Malkovich." The creative choices affirm the idea of non-human or superhuman beings living in a real world, beneath or beyond our notice.
Cinematographer Andrew Stroud composes the film in delicate, handheld, very wide images. Many of these are shot quite close, as in a kitchen sink indie drama where the important information is conveyed through silent reactions. The sound design (supervised by Melanie Graham) buries important information pretty deep in the mix. You have to learn how to watch and listen to this film because it's not going to hand you everything that's important. That puts you in the same position as Laura, who has the ability to master all of her troubles, but has to learn to trust her instincts and ability first.
"The Changeover" is one of those films that has to clear a couple of hurdles when you recommend it. First, you have to get past "I've never heard of it"—an understandable hiccup, considering that its a modestly budgeted independent movie, adapted from a 35-year-old book by New Zealand writer Margaret Mahy that would've been classified as "Young Adult" had the label had existed then. Next comes "Who's in it?" The answer is, "No big stars," unless you count the once and future Xena, Lucy Lawless, who's only in a few scenes. The rest of the cast consists of established character actors and young performers getting their big breaks. But every role is perfectly cast, every performance perfectly modulated, the writing, direction and technical credits are spot-on, and the story's resolution is stirring and satisfying, leaving just enough loose ends dangling to justify a sequel.
In its own modest way, this is a perfect genre film.

Hey team, I thought I would share my story. I always found r/Entrepreneur helpful and loved reading other people stories of success and failure, so thought I would share my story so far. This all takes place in New Zealand, and none of my products are marketable in the USA. I will use USD if I give any figures to make it easier for people. My historyI worked for the government for 12 years, spread across the Military and Police. I enjoyed what I did, but circumstances arose that my partner and I wanted to move away from Auckland and down to Christchurch. New Zealand is about the size of Colorado, with 4.8 million people, a million people less than colorado. This is just to put the market I service into perspective. The population of Christchurch is 380k.Leaving my job to pursue a better lifeLast year we had decided we wanted to move to Christchurch, and I knew it wasn't going to happen if I was in the Police (transfers are almost impossible) so I needed to make my own way. I decided on starting a truffle farm. I had some funds available and was able to potentially purchase a piece of land to get it going, but 6 months later and one faild land transaction I decided the risks of starting a truffle farm were too steep for me and my partner to take on, so I changed from truffle farming to mushroom farming. The birth of Oak and SporeI started Oak and Spore at the end of last year. My goal for the business was to create a small scale mushroom farm that I could operate on my own. We found a house that had about 120m2 of area I could devote to this endeavour. It has a two car garage, with single car garage at the back, and a concreted area to the side. I got to work building what I would need to grow mushrooms. The planMy plan has been to create three different parts to the business. These parts were also similar to my goalsFresh mushroom sales (goal to produce 50kg, or 110lb, per week)A website where people can purchase products to grow mushrooms at home - https://www.oakandspore.co.nz/A youtube channel to document my progress - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAb4KY7PfwoWV0OzoJ8bWkQMushroom salesI built the facility which consists of three primary parts. A lab to conduct work with mushroom cultures, an incubation room where inoculated bags of mushroom substrate (food) would sit while the mycelium ate its way through it, and a fruiting chamber which is environmentally controller so I can produce mushrooms all year around. The process to grow a mushroom to put is briefly is this. Mix ingredients together that we call a substrate, which the mushroom mycelium likes to eat. Sterilize the substrate so there is no competing bacteria, mould, fungi, to consume it. Think of canned food, it's sterilised so no bacteria builds up on the inside. Now after sterilisation you introduce mycelium to the bag, seal it, and put it into incubation. After 3 week to 6 months, depending on the type of mushroom, you can open the bag and place it into a fruiting room and mushrooms will grow. It's been a hard road but I am comfortably producing around 20-30kg of fresh mushrooms each week. I work one farmers market on the weekends and retail my mushrooms for about $32usd per kg, or $14.5 per pound. I can sell upwards of 20 kg at a good market, and this leaves me mushrooms to spare.Currently I am working on my certification so I can sell my mushrooms to other business such as restaurants or vegetable stores. I do not need this certification to sell directly to the public, which is why I can sell at farmers markets. My farmers market sales are good, but I am waiting on my certification so I can expand.Website salesMy website services all New Zealand, and cannot sell to the world. With our biosecurity laws I cannot export mushroom products. Website sales supplement my market sales, with some weeks performing really well, and others not. I have a very limited advertising budget, with $2 per day on google, and $2 per day on FB. I have built my website myself and I am trying to get ranked on the first page of google when you search keywords in New Zealand. I have been monitoring this with by the phrase 'mushroom spawn nz' and over the last few months have gone from page 8 to page 2 of google, so I am nearly there.I really enjoy the online side of things and do spend a lot of time researching google to better learn how to use their services. My webpage might seem simple, I used Wix to create it, but it serves my needs. I thought about changing to shopify but don't really have the time to start over again. My YoutubeMy youtube is one part I really enjoy. The first videos I made were quite average, but recently I started to add my own humor into them as I learnt to use Premier Pro a little better. I was happy with the results of my latest video seen here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxixK3KuhBw Give it a watch and feedback would be great. Why do I youtube? I suppose I like showing people my progress and helping them out. There are a lot of hobby mushroom growers out there and my videos can help with out with some more niche parts of the mushroom growing world.Am I working to monetize? Yes, after a while I hope to monetize, but i've been doing it for a year and hand just passed the 500 subs and 1000 watch hours mark. You need 1000 subs and 4000 watch hours to monetize, so it's still far off.One way I have monetized it was joining Amazon associates, which they allow a youtube channel to do when they hit 500 subs. The income from this is negligible, but my goal is that it pays for my Premiere Pro subscription, which it's nearly going to do for this month. So far I made $20 usd from Amazon associates in the last 30 days, and my subscription is maybe $25 a month. Small steps right! If you enjoy my Youtube please subscribe, I will be adding educational videos as well as videos updating people on my mushroom growing journey.Profit and lossHere's the part you all love, and I'll give you some insight. The business has only turned a profit the last two months, but I've only been selling fresh mushrooms the last two months.Total the business cost me maybe 27k usd to setup, this includes all running costs for the first year, a VW Caddy can, a trailer, and some other assets.my operating expenses for this year have been 13,464k, so I have about 13.5k in assets.I channel 43% of all household expenses like power, water, property taxes to the business. The last couple months I have finally started to get some profit, and this month should hopefully wind up with a couple thousand in the green.I do not pay myself a wage, and I do not account for this, so if I was paying myself a wage the business would be making zero. I can afford not to pay myself because my lovely partner works and I can focus on the business. All profit gets channeled back into the business for expansion.Future plansWhen the new Year comes I plan on getting a reefer container which will double my output, this will be used as another atmosphere controlled fruiting room. My goals with this is to set it up as a modular build, so I can just add new containers as I need to expand. I am also looking at a new type of mushroom which isn't produced to any great quality in NZ. in the long term I would like to step in and become the primary producer of this. I am sourcing new equipment from China for this endeavour. There is a direct relation with mushroom production to profit. My mid term (5 year) goal is 1 tonne, 2200lb, per week. I need to grow the business to get there, and it's a slow process. What I have done so far has sort of been a proof of concept or a pilot. I know I can make it work now so am looking to keep expanding next year.I hope next year I can turn 30k usd profit (without paying myself) and hope to increase this year on year.In my spare time I will continue to work on my Youtube and hopefully increase my viewership.final thoughtsIt's been a very hard road so far, and anyone who has created a business in an area that they knew absolutely nothing in can attest how challenging it can be. But it's been rewarding and I am very proud of what I have done on my own.I always try to respond to people who want to talk to me about my business, so if you have any questions fire away!Excuse bad grammar or spelling, it was never my strong point. My partner and I had out first child 3 months ago, so perhaps one of the best things about this is I work from home and am able to watch her grow up, as well as provide support to my partner throughout the day.
