what if spiderman 4 DOES continue with the multiversal storyline but in a way where the timelines are all messed and peter wakes up to like. a harry osborn who insists they've been best friends since childhood and peter has no memory of. oscorp stands where the avengers tower once was. aunt may is still alive. etc.

my wish would be for Sadie to either play Kitty Pryde bc I would like them to do an “unconventional” love interest again like Liz (it would be a nice call back again in a way since this is also the first movie of a possible trilogy?) or Firestar bc a team up movie with Iceman down the line would be really cool and also having a female character that is not a love interest but still close to Peter would be a nice change of pace

The guy had an interesting take on the state of Tom's Spiderman. Honestly? You can tell that Tom really cares about the character a LOT, and I think he really wants to see the character done right on the big screen, especially if he's going to be leading the movie.

Based on what I've heard regarding what Sony wants, and based on what Tom has said himself, it seems both Sony AND Tom (and I assume Disney as well) want a 4th Spider-Man film to be "surpassing" of what NWH was. You can hear Tom mention this at Minute: 2:00.

I think the problem might be that Sony feels that having Andrew and Tobey come BACK in SM4 would surely ensure a film that "surpasses" NWH. Tom, on the other hand seems to want a more grounded, simple, and "Fan-Friendly" Spider-Man. Honestly? Idk how realistic it even is to have a 4th film surpass NWH, when it brought back villains AND both Spidermen from the previous franchises. Like, is it even realistic to expect a 4th Spidey film to bring as much bank to the box office as NWH did?? 🤔 Personally? I agree with Tom and the fans. I think the next SM4 film should be more grounded. I love Tobey and Andrew, but I think it would feel a bit campy to have them come back AGAIN for another film. Not only that, but I think Sony/Disney/Marvel should STOP trying to "top NWH", and just focus more on writing a GOOD, solid story! It would be better to create a more grounded SM film for SM4 and risk not having the same box office as NWH, than to rush to make something with all of this campy stuff, and have it be lackluster. 🥴

I don't think the pressure should all be on Tom's shoulders, but I def feel like he can be a huge influencer, because it's obvious that Sony doesn't want to leave him. Tom is showing that he is willing to just walk out and let someone else take on the role if the story isn't to his satisfaction. He's in the upper hand. Sony already showed their hand that they want to KEEP Tom in the role.

I think that's why there are all of these negotiations. Anyway... I'm actually fine with Tom getting rid of the suit if that's what it takes. 🤷🏾‍♀️ He's had a GREAT run as Spiderman. At the very least, he can sign on to one more film, but leave it at that. Unlike what was said in the video, I personally don't think I want to see Tom STILL Playing Spider-Man in his 40s. 🥴

Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4 Plot Breakdown - Part Three

The Vulture would have been portrayed as an incredibly dangerous antagonist, with Spider-Man being forced to kill him in order to save his own life. The storyboard was revealed:

In the third act, Vulture’s daughter would have taken up the mantle to become the Vulturess and Angelina Jolie was attached to play the role.

Anne Hathaway was also confirmed by Raimi to be Felicia Hardy/Black Cat.

Now things take a more interesting turn…

Tom Holland on 'SPIDER-MAN 4':

“The simple answer is that I’ll always want to do Spider-Man films,” Tom told Deadline. “I owe my life and career to Spider-Man. So the simple answer is yes. I’ll always want to do more.”

The more “complicated answer” Tom added is how he and the Spider-Man team approach any follow-up to Spider-Man: No Way Home, the third title in his webbed saga, without retreading past themes. 

“We have the best in the business working toward whatever the story might be. But until we’ve cracked it, we have a legacy to protect,” he said. “The third movie was so special in so many ways that we need to make sure we do the right thing.”

He added: “This is the first time in this process that I’ve been part of the creative so early. It’s just a process where I’m watching and learning. It’s just a really fun stage for me. Like I said, everyone wants it to happen. But we want to make sure we’re not overdoing the same things.”
