He was accustomed to the stares, to the feel of prying eyes boring holes into the back of his head, for it occurred on a rather frequent basis. A daily basis, even. That’s Kim Kyuha, Slytherin house. I heard he’s this, I heard he’s that. Ridiculous, really. Albeit it was moderately exasperating, he never prominently displayed any form of a response, knowing just how much they enjoyed spurring him on; provoking him. As per usual, he’d been minding his own business, head stuck in a book, brushing off the greetings and usual trivial comments those would attempt to proffer. Ordinarily, upon realising how disinterested and negligent Carter was toward their opinions, stares and queries, they’d give it a rest, let him be, falter and subside. But, there was one pair of eyes -- one foreign entity that was consistent in their attempt to pick him apart piece by piece. There was an aura, believe it or not, that radiated. He could feel it. It was hot, harsh and horrid -- almost like hatred and despite not usually taking notice to things like this, he couldn’t help but avert his gaze from the pages he’d been scanning, catching sight of the one who’d been gawking. Brows drew together slightly, a mere twitch, small creases forming upon his forehead as he caught sight of her -- she was rather ferocious looking. What did she want?
