trying to get over the thing in horror movies I’m incapable of sitting thru calmly (gore of any degree) bcs my interest in body horror as a sub horror genre kinda catapulted overnight after watching this video

#slowly making my way through op’s video essays n I decided to watch this one and yeah…#see gore in general is hard for me to watch but I’ve definitely talked abt this a lot (on twitter at least)#how much I enjoy the prosthetics n bringing certain elements of horror to life on the screen #and the stories told through films that depict gruesome things #NOT YOU SAW FRANCHISE kys !#but like hehe it’s true there are some very fascinating and incredibly hard to watch films (for me) that are like #spines ripping out of someoneneneneje #anyway I’m more drawn to body horror when it’s centered on smthn more meaningful #beyond just showing someone being hurt lol #I’m sure my viewing of the thing rlly started me thinking abt this #my long winded way of saying I loved the fly and that I had inspiration to write some stuff for the first time in a while lol #video
