okay so we've determined the wammy boys favorite pasta shapes but what sauce would they use
sorry gjshfdgjsdhgsd this is DAYS late. my brain went into The Void. having considered this i think most of them would have fairly broad tastes but let me just opine for a minute and see where it leads me. thank you for this ask btw it is!! very fun <3
Matt is perfectly fine with cheap sauce. Ragu, Prego -- he is not picky or bougie about this. I think in his late 20s he learns how easy it is to make decent sauce from scratch and will maybe do a slow-cooker version sometimes when he's feeling fancy but he still has a deep fondness for the cheap stuff.
Mello I think would have a wide and somewhat sn palate. On the occasions that he uses jarred sauce, Victoria's or Rao's; imo he would normally make marinara from scratch, but might keep shelf-stable sauce around for lazy evenings. I think he loves pesto but is snobbish about it and also will not purchase it jarred; he frowns on using a food processor for it [MORTAR AND PESTLE ONLY!!!]. He knows how to make a mean arrabbiata & puttanesca and these are perhaps his go-to quickish dishes for if he has dinner guests and not much time to prepare something impressive.
Near's faves are cacio e pepe, aglio e olio, and spaghetti al limone (except w/ linguine subbed in for spaghetti) and various simple pasta + veggie dishes. He cannot make any of these things but thankfully he lives in New York City and has devoted employees who will without complaint drive 30 minutes in traffic to get it from the place he likes best, which was close to the original headquarters that got attacked by Kira fanatics.

Super Easy Three Bean Chili
Equipment needed: - Slow cooker - Can opener Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 2-3 Hours Ingredients: - 3 cans of beans (Pick your favorite, I normally go for 1 type of bean in some mild chili sauce and two others with no sauce that I drain. Usually a pinto, black bean and kidney bean assortment) -2 cans of diced tomato - 2 cans of tomato sauce OR 1 jar of marinara (My mom uses the cans, but I find the marinara sauce is more flavorful and adds a little more chunk to my chili) - 1 Tablespoon of chili powder Optional Add-ins: - Frozen corn (I normally put in 1/3 cup) - Green pepper - Onion - Honestly any vegetable you like, I just listed above what I use. You can buy mixed bags of veggies to make this easy with no dicing required. Additional Spices: My mom only uses the chili powder and is adamant that it's all it needs. I like to add in a lot more spices. Unfortunately, I don't measure so I can't give amounts. Start slow and taste as you go. I add: - Paprika - Cumin - All spice - Cinnamon - Salt and pepper - Coriander Steps: 1. Put everything into your slow cooker, stir. 2. Cook on high for 2-3 hours. 3. Ladle over your carb of choice (Quinoa, rice, I like air-fried potato chunks) or eat on it's own. Enjoy!

I think just about everyone who loves them has their own recipe….. kind of like a good spaghetti sauce. It might be the quick and easy kind, or the kind like grandma used to make simmering away in a special sauce for hours. It took me a while to get mine just the way I wanted them. This is…

short ribs in a slow cooker
Last Sunday I was kind of an over achiever; of sorts. I must have been hungry when I went grocery shopping since I came home with short ribs, a brisket and some sweet Italian sausages and a plan; well kind of a plan. I hadn’t planned on making everything on Sunday but it didn’t stop me. I had both of my crockpots going and some marinara sauce bubbling on the stovetop. We had the short ribs for…
