As an addition: The (very helpful!) link to the possible drug interactions refers to taking vitamin c directly as a supplement. The food and drink interactions just below only mention alcohol.
There's a huge difference between taking vitamins directly as supplements or absorbing it from food/drink.
Also: oranges, including juice, don't even have an exceptionally high amount of vit c compared to other fruit or vegetables. Like, they're good, but plenty of fruit and vegetables have more. Yet nobody ever tells you to avoid bell peppers or blackcurrant juice. (Don't avoid those. Unless you dislike them, I guess.)
But don't just believe me, if you're unsure, ask your doctor or, possibly even better, at a pharmacy
As an aside, the little information leaflet that comes with every single prescription of my Elvanse (German brand name for Vyvanse so Lisdexamfetamine) explicitly describes how to dissolve the contents of a capsules in case you physically can't swallow them. One of the suggested drinks is orange juice.

Lovecraft annoys me. Having tentacles and half a human face is setting unrealistic expectations for nonbinary bodies. Not all of us can be 20ft tall and made of tentacles and clouds.

I'd like to add: Even in places where women wearing trousers is not a big deal, you're expected to wear specifically women's cuts. For other pieces of clothing, too. People will notice if you don't and aren't subtle about that! As a child you can get bullied mercilessly. Depending on where you are, looking manly or like a lesbian can be actively dangerous, even.
Those "masculine" clothes which aren't a big deal actually aren't masculine. They are women's clothes, it's just that what exactly that looks like has shifted in many places.
Like, a guy wearing women's skinny jeans and a women's tanktop would not be performing masculinity correctly and could get a lot of shit for that. If those clothes were actually considered masculine or neutral, that wouldn't happen.
As someone who's for most of his life been perceived as a tomboy and later masc woman, yeah, it was never illegal for me to dress masculine, but it sure as hell wasn't accepted and I did get mistreated for it. You know, the same way I could be wearing skirts as a man and risk getting mistreated for that, since it isn't actually illegal either, at least here.
I do want to note that the whole "women are allowed to dress masculine and wear trousers" thing needs to be viewed in its historical context:
People fought for generations to be allowed to dress that way. They fought hard to be allowed to wear pants. Blue jeans were a symbol of feminist revolution. Women were barred from workplaces and schools for wearing them.
This is not some a natural fact that women dressing masculine is less shocking and humiliating. That normalization was fought for and hard-won.
And yet so many people erase the struggles of those people who fought to make that happen and pretend that it's just normal and natural that people don't see women "dressed like men" as ridiculous.
The Marriage of Figaro has what's called a "breeches role" which is a woman wearing men's clothes playing am ale role. This was done partly due to the vocal range requirements, but in many cases it was done comedically. It was risque and sexualized or comic relief that a woman was dressed as a man.
Tumblr media
Anti-suffragette posters mock women wearing pants - well they were bloomers and split skirts back then - and mocking more masculine cut styles of clothes. This was meant to portray this as ridiculous.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They mocked the "new woman" in Weimar Germany, lamenting that they were too masculine.
This is a political cartoon from the 1920s depicting a woman in masculine dress deciding which bathroom to use:
Tumblr media
Sorry but you're erasing these struggles and flattening history when you say this shit.
Women were killed and institutionalized in the struggle to make this happen. It really fucking bothers me the way it's framed as "people just don't find it as weird when women dress masculine."
Yes they fucking did. Until women and transmasculine people fought for their right to wear what they want. It's normalized because people struggled to normalize it.
And it's not normal everywhere. There are many countries where it's still illegal for women to wear pants. Sudan, Saudi Arabia.
Even in the US, it's forbidden and considered ridiculous in groups like the FLDS, the Amish, and the Hutterites.
We are flattening and erasing the struggles of women when we say these things. I know we're trying to build theory here but you can't build solid theory on a foundation of lies.

So it's been an exciting few weeks
Finally aknowledged I'm trans
Came out to most people irl by now
Made an initial appointment next week for the prerequisite health tests to hopefully go on T soon
I spent way too many years afraid of not really knowing myself and then of being unable to convince others that I know myself. I have a great therapist these days, thankfully.
Frankly, I also wasted way too much time assuming that I needed to figure out if I'm not maybe also a bit nonbinary before even talking to anybody about it? But like, what does it matter if I'm only like 95% a man instead of 100%? It's not like that's something you can actually quantify. It also wouldn't change anything about the name I want, or which pronouns are correct for me, or the kind of dysphoria I experience. It certainly doesn't change anything about the hormones and top surgery I'll need to alleviate it.
And I'm quite certain you always go into big life changes and choices feeling a bit unsure. You just gotta take the plunge at some point.
But since I did, I've been feeling a lot better in general. Lots of energy and motivation. I can't remember the last time I've been in such a good mood? I'm actually looking forward to the future for the first time in over a decade.
And honestly, the reactions have been mindblowing so far. My friends are so on board. It was almost whiplash how much of a nonissue coming out was after I'd been excitedly looking forward to meeting them for weeks. (I absolutely wanted to tell them in person and one of my closest friends lives a few hours away so we don't see each other often.) They just went along with it and even started to correct each other when someone mixed up my name or pronouns. Within 5 minutes it went from "So, I have to tell you something" to "Hey [chosen name], you want a pickle?"
On two separate occasions I got a very casual and relaxed "Wenn das so ist, dann ist das halt so" (Basically "If that's how it is then so be it" - my translation doesn't quite capture the vibe.)
My best friend, who's offensively cishet, is still my biggest cheerleader. Just a bit annoyed at me for having mostly one topic at the moment, maybe. Things are going pretty well.

#unpopular opinion but 2003 has better fem rep OBVIOUSLY ITS NOT A FEMINIST PEACE OF MEDIA but better than bh where the only way fem#characters are relevant to is through them suffering so men can have heroic moment (via @fma-slothposting)
while searching for fma 03 posts on Twitter I saw someone claim fma 03s female characters are worse than fmabs bc it puts them thru so much pain and trauma w no recovery but like, that's just not true?
Rose stands out as pushing the envelope a bit and fair enough, but even then she moves forward and survives and gets a happy ending. Izumi dying off-screen is not great but that's more emblematic of COS production problems than misogyny. Lust and Sloth come to tragic ends, but so do the male Homunculi, and Lust dies in the process of fighting to reclaim her autonomy, not as a helpless victim. Winry, sheska, riza, Noa all get happy endings. Nina is perhaps the closest to just flat out fridging but that came from the manga.
I just don't think it's true that every female character is subjected to nothing but trauma with no hope of salvation, but also, fma 03 is just as relentless towards its male characters? Where exsctly are the male characters not touched by pain and suffering in this series - Fuery? Havoc? it's just a bizarre take all around

My dog starts squeaking with excitement when heading to my mum's place for a visit. She just keeps going like this, louder and louder until we get there, making way for full on barks. She's too darn adorable. :3 pic.twitter.com/ViHZCEC5GO

Sooo, I'm almost two months on T now
Things are progressing simultaneously faster than I expected and slower than I'd like. But then I guess that second part is normal.
I'm definitely getting some hairs on my chin and the hint of a moustache (basically only visible from up close.) That's early, from what I've heard and I'm not complaining. Body hair growth is also progressing. Sloooowly.
My voice has now definitely dropped a little. But it started out relatively deep, so it's been quite helpful for passing already. I've been read as male sometimes for years now (even before I knew I was trans), but in the past three weeks strangers have adressed me correctly way more consistently, including on the phone yesterday where I introduced myself with last name only.
I'm at that stage where I'm never quite sure what I'll sound like when I open my mouth, though. Less so when I'm speaking calmly, but the moment I'm trying for anything but "low and monotonous" all bets are off... I've broken down laughing when singing in the car several times now.
