i haul myself out of bed and head to the shower, leaving my phone behind, slightly jaded knowing i was left on read. i let the warm water wash over me, soaking up the few minutes of peace before i exit and get dressed. i continue ignoring my phone until i hear a ping. i rush over to it, feeling slightly embarrassed that i'm this concerned already. i open discord again, expecting a message from him, but it's not there. instead, a string of messages from someone else sits unopened. my brows furrow and i open the dm confused.

This is a very long answer kinda, so I'll put keep reading here so everyone who isn't interested can keep scrolling along :)

I'm actually pretty against AI in writing, in all aspects but especially in fanfiction. Bad example, but imagine this:

The room is a grand space, standing at a height of 10 meters from floor to ceiling, exuding an air of elegance and spaciousness. Its walls rise up to meet the ceiling in a seamless blend of architecture, creating an expansive area that feels both imposing and welcoming. The smooth marble floor stretches out beneath, gleaming softly under the ambient lighting. Its surface is pristine, free from any imperfections, offering a mirror-like reflection of the room's surroundings. The cool touch of the marble underfoot adds a sense of luxury and sophistication to the space. (ChatGPT)

Perspective is a powerful thing in writing, and showing how the environment affects a character or how interactions take place within it is a clear way to follow what's going on. That leads me to my next point:

Remember Chekhov's Gun, anon! Some may argue they use AI to write the boring or unnecessary parts, but I say to that, there are no boring or unnecessary parts! If your phone wasn't on silent in the start, you never would have missed her calls by the end.

There's just some stuff AI can't capture for you, and you're much better off growing as a writer (or artist or whatever really) without using it. Do reach out, I promise I don't bite ahahaha just lmk if you need help with writing and I'll do my best to lend a hand :)

However I do wanna say this might be a polarizing opinion, and ultimately if you choose to use AI then I don't have any authority at all to tell you to stop. I just think that writing is a very fun activity and I'm advocating that you give your writing muscles as much practice as you can!

s u n s h i n e ,   l o l l i p o p s   &   r a i n b o w s raúl keegan had a beautiful daughter. isabella gave him six grandchildren before meeting her end giving birth to her youngest. for riley, roth, ronnie, ripley, and rider their baby sister reyna isabella keegan was the closest they could be to their mother. they protected her fiercely. reyn was born into a boy's world and raised by all six of them. being the youngest, she never had to lift a finger at home if she didn't want to. as long as she didn't end up in jail, she was a step ahead of the rest of the boys.

born and raised here in manhattan

her mom was an aspiring model when she met paycie’s rockstar father

they got married only after knowing eachother for a few months , but they were so deeply in love it didn’t even matter

her best friend in the whole world was gone and she had no idea how to move on from that

obviously her dad’s tour was cancelled & the tabloids went crazy with the story

the two of them struggled to get any privacy  , paparazzi always waiting outside their house , etc sstuff like that

it was horrible n they hated it

but paycie quickly fell into a depression, stopped going to school , BARELY made it through her senior year but by some miracle she did end up graduating ( she didn’t attend however )

her dad’s career diminished because he too was lost without her to work , & he wanted to stay home 24/7 to take care of paycie

fast forward abt a year or two paycie decides she wants to go to college to study fashion , something her mom always loved & got paycie interested in

she’s taking a few music courses as well

so yeah, this is ezra – his parents figured that mayhaps a child could save their marriage n that’s why he,, exists ?? asjdfa (( spoiler alert; didn’t work out n they got divorced when he was like,, fourteen ))

ig you could say he was spoiled as a child; his parents never let him want for anything. but they fought a lot, and neither of their hearts were really in it to bring up a child, so ezra never got the attention he wanted or the affection he craved, i.e. no one tucked him into bed, no one helped him w his homework, no one held him when he was scared or sick or tired etc.

so what did lil attention starved ezra do, you ask ?? he used his bright head and his charismatic personality to charm people to their knees. once he started school he made friends w all his friends’ parents, and had standing invitations to dinners and family game nights and the like. the attention he didn’t get at home, he sought out elsewhere.

he was like twelve or smthn when he got into sleight of hand magic after falling in love w it while at a magic show, seeing how mesmerized the audience where. he too wanted to drawn people in like that, and make magic happen before their eyes.

in high school he made friends w everyone by telling stories that weren’t lies, just twisted and tweaked to make them prettier and more interesting. he also made a name for himself by pulling out some coins or a deck of cards at parties, making it a side hustle to let people who were sure they’d figured out how he did his tricks put their money where their mouth was.

ezra scored a scholarship to an out of state university and peaced tf out of his hometown. at college his stories got bigger and more golden and felt more like lies, but he earned his in w every crowd and even if someone didn’t know him, they knew off him. 

the first term of his third year, both his parents passed away. none of his friends could recognize the boy he became over the span of those months. they were used to the flashy and eccentric ezra, always smiling and cracking jokes and making light of every situation. so when he didn’t reach out to them, they didn’t reach out to him either.

after the aftermath of his parents’ deaths were sorted out, and he’d declined his university’s offer to come back, ezra decided that he wanted to disappear. his vanishing act took the form of using a chunk of the substantial amount of money left to him by his parents to buy an appartment in an old beach town in england, and a one way ticket out of america.

in st. clementine he got a job as a bartender, and slipped into his old ways of drawing people in w a smile and then wrapping them up in shining stories that weren’t really lies.
