BTS-A03 Hybrid AUs

Hybrid AUs usually feature character who are part animal, part human. Sometimes the characters can shapeshift into animals, sometimes they have some animal-like features or characteristics. Sometimes the animals are supernatural (ie dragons). Some Hybrid AUs analyze society-wide prejudice. Some are mostly smut. Hybrid AUs have some overlap with omegaverse as sometimes hybrids have A/B/O Dynamics.

sequel of the stigma of singularity, picks off where it leaves off. i love the theme of not knowing what you want to do next in life, and everyone supporting tae with that.

I loved that one conversation with hoseok in particular, and the bath scene with jin. the mystery was interesting, and the conclusion was pretty satisfying!

great world development! love the dog! all of the characters struggle with self-doubt in some form, but are reassured by the others. there’s a scene where hoseok sees an element of himself that he struggles with in jungkook, but doesn’t lash out, doesn’t react in anger or hatred, but just gets quietly overwhelmed and sympathetic, and that really touched me.

hoseok is turned into a shifter during an attack, and has to learn how to deal with his new life. he learns that a lot of assumptions humans had about shifters are incorrect. love the soft vibes so far! it feels soft of like hurt/comfort genre in that these characters have clearly been through a lot, and are still going through it, but are able to lean on each other to make it a little better. so far my favorite moment was hoseok fending jimin off with a spatula!

arguably, I would put most of the fics I read in the hurt/comfort genre, so... well, I tried to keep it to the fics where that was more of a major theme in the story. be aware that a lot of these fics have dark themes (mind the tags!). whether emotional or physical pain, it’s nice to have comfort
