#it's the frenemies#since Orion's 10 years younger and grew up in Limsa he ran into him once in a while#He thought the pirate was cool and admirable while Carvallain thought Orion was just a foolish kid who did what his family told him to#it was so obvious to him that Orion suppressed his opinions and dreams because he felt obliged to pay back his dad for raising him#slaving away aimlessly and squandering his potential#but when Carvallain tries to egg him on about it Orion just looks confused like ??? of course I'd sacrifice my potential for my dad???#it peeves Carvallain off bc Orion is an idiot for throwing away his life#and because Orion's dad obviously sacrificed his own dreams for Orion because how else would it be as natural as breathing to his son#imagine having a dad that loves you that much and you still waste your life#meanwhile Orion brushes Carvallain's comments off until like 10 years later when he finally realizes the point he was making#they never talk about it again but Orion secretly hopes Carvallain is proud of him for making something of himself#orion altano#carvallain
