Rainy day work. When I’m working on this old place I wonder what the original builders would think of my choice of tools and materials. They had axes and hatchets. I try to follow their vision when things become so far gone that repairs are necessary. I try not to remove too much original workmanship. I follow their lead from 2 centuries out.
