alright my longtime amigo @f-r-o-o-g tagged me to list 5 songs I've been "gnashing and killing mentally recently" and anything that skeleton wishes is my command, and I've been so irony poisoned I need to post something halfway genuine so here we go. I'm supposed to @ other people but I don't feel like doing that but if you wanna drop some music recs by all means hit me, I always need new stuff.

Pink Sand by EX-LYD. This is some Scott Pilgrim type shit; if you know you know, and if you know you either love it or hate it. Weird how chiptune stuff makes you nostalgic even when you didn't listen to it at the time you're being nostalgic for.

The Foggy Dew, covered by The Dreadnoughts. An Irish ballad about the Easter Rising of 1916 covered in a folk punk style; in my opinion just the right balance between the folk and the punk. "For slavery fled, O glorious dead..." oof gets me every time. Not to be a 'Plastic Paddy' but this makes me want to beat the shit out of King Charlie even more than normally

The Somnambulist by Thank You Scientist. One of my favorite bands and I've listened to songs from this album for a long time, but I've kinda glossed over this one til now and it's pretty dope. Maybe I'm at a point in life where I'm especially receptive to someone emphatically saying "Don't. WASTE. YOUR. TIME." Anyways.

Luminice Dance by Paul Zimmerman, from the Wildfrost OST. I suck absolute shit at this game, but I'd probably be better if I didn't have to spend the whole 2nd stage shaking my ass to this.

Where Our Blue Is by Tatsuya Kitani, yes it's an anime opening but I swear it's good bro please I promise bro it has a slapbass it's good come ba

Relationship Status: Single! I would love to have a QPR someday but probability-wise...well I guess you never know! It's not really on my radar right now though.

Last Thing I Looked Up: A bunch of poems by Anne Finch. Also for class.

Current Obsession: I don't really have any right now tbh I'm just Getting Through It

Looking Forward To: Cassette Beasts update this Wednesday!!!! I bashed it a little bit I know I know but I'm genuinely very excited and I'm 100% shilling for the bonus cosmetic pack. Also the next volume of Tranformers Skybound is coming out on the 26th :]

Watching: Just a bunch of random YouTube vids ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don't usually watch much during the later part of the semester. But! Once I'm done for the summer I'll probably go back to watching Zom 100. It seems pretty charming.

Playing: Cult of the Lamb also :] But I'm so so so close to finally breaking and buying Cassetbeasts so we shall see

Reading: House of Leaves (to quote some guy: "It's my favourite novel I'll never read again")

Current Obsession: Currently I've been really into just getting through the fuckin day

But also twewy, writing, music (I'm planning to get a record player soon so I'm making a list of album vinyls I wanna buy), and philosophy + literary theory ( <- said while gritting my teeth and trying not to cry)

No puc deixar d’escoltar-los ni de veure lo bé que arriben a tocar. Podria dir que m’he aficionat a Dirty Loops ja que tenen un estil que em recorda molt a Swing Out Sister o a Joe Jackson: toquen el gènere Jazz Pop tant difícil de fer que enganxi a la gent. 

Dirty Loops té un estil en el que es combina la expertesa dels seus membres amb els instruments amb el so tant futurista que aporten els sintetitzadors, creant temes molt interessants.

Des de la creació del grup al 2008 només han penjat dos àlbums: Loopified (2014) i Phoenix (Novembre 2020). El tema que avui escoltareu és de de l’àlbum més recent. També es remarca que els seus àlbums no son més que recopilacions dels singles que pengen a les seves xarxes socials i a Spotify. Simplement quan tenen algo ho pengen. 

Un gran grup actual que estic segur que encara arribarà molt més lluny!
