2460/min. That is the amount of Bauxite I'm shipping into the Blue Crater for processing.

That's the entire map's worth, with mk2 miners at 100%. I might overclock them, but I want to get my train math right first.

All the Bauxite is being shipped via a Skyway network to the crater, where it's transferred down for further processing. The good part about the crater is that it's very close to a number of Sulfur nodes -- meaning I can make good use of the Instant Scrap alternate.

First, however, the basic aluminium materials need to be sorted. That shouldn't take all too long, and if/when I get Instant Scrap I can just tear that all down and start over.

Progress is.... satisfactory.

The view from just below the clouds is, frankly, astonishing. And while its exterior may look a little too boat-like for her comfort, the ride is surprisingly smooth enough that one could sit and read a book with very little disturbance.

01•22•’25 — First day in MNL

First time riding a plane with Darge (1st time din nyang makasakay ng plane) Sobrang memorable ng trip na to kahit sa Manila lang yung destination kasi hindi naman namin to na eexperience before. We are not privileged to travel and go places via plane. Akala ko nga di ko talaga maeexperience and ma afford bumili ng plane ticket noon. Pero as time passes by, narerealize ko, kaya naman pero ‘yun lang kasi di talaga siya priority. Sa mga gantong bagay talaga ako napapaisip, mas masarap sigurong mabuhay kung di mo talaga problema ang pagwaldas ng pera.

As a “probinsyana” kasi I’m from Davao (pero city and davao ha, may kuryente din kami hahahaha! At malls! Ok?) na aamaze parin ako sa taas ng mga buildings sa manila, lalo na sa mga skyways. Siguro kung may skyways ang davao, ang cool tingnan and less congested ang traffic pag rush hours.

After checking-in sa airbnb namin, nag moa agad kami. ‘Mej malapit kasi dun sa pinagstayhan namin and yun lang alam ko. Hahaha! Nag book din ako ng Space and Time cube na pass. (Pricey pero ok lang kasi maganda naman)

Nag Muji rin uz. Naghanap ako ng planner kaso out of stock na. Hahaha okay lang, aanhin ko naman ang dagdag na planner?? Bumili nalang ako ng pens and isang notebook pang remembrance lang.

Nag dinner din kami sa IKEA. Ok lang yung food. Masarap yung almond cake!!!! Di ko bet yung mga drinks nila. Parang ewan.

Last stop for day 1 is Gala Food Park. Galing MOA nilakad lang namin yung loc ng gala, potek sobrang sakit ng paa ko after pero okay lang kasi ang ganda naman sa loob??? Pwede ka pang mag borrow ng Kimono for free. Eto talaga yung highlight ng day 1 ko kasi may mga figures ng Ghibli characters don. My ghibli heart was soooo happy!!!

one month stay documentation.

day 1 (Jan 17 2024): arrival from the NAIA 3 airport. we took a Grab going home for 1017 pesos (excluding skyway fee). Tito had his coffee with his shortbread biscuit. He got the chocolates out from his luggage and put it in the refrigerator. he also gave us mama's dress and papa's shirt. after that, he asked about our plans in life, how we are doing at school. he mentioned of aiming high ALWAYS. it seemed to me experience is not something they put priority but rather they want to be the best right away. really the definition of FAST-PACED, i guess. before dinner, tito and tita were in a facetime.

day 2 (Jan 18 2024): Tito had his coffee in the morning then we had our breakfast. he cleaned the filter of the washing machine and looked into the socket of water heater. he gave the kids books together with the deo. he asked us what our plans for the day, and i did not know what to say because we really did not have any whereas he will just have to take a rest from the jetlag. i gave him the 20k and he asked if we needed some grocery. he put the crucifix at the altar corner of the house. while having dinner time, he mentioned he had an encounter with a cockroach at his room last night hahaha. aftersometime, he opened the chocolate santa. it was delicious i swear. YUMMY!!! then after dinner, he setup the netflix account in the TV. it was successful because last year, it did not work. since i wanted to try the netflix before his eyes, i decided to play wednesday and see how it goes. he mentioned there was a filipino audio available but he did not recommend it because it does not sound good haha. while watching, i wanted to activate the eng sub since it was kind of noisy but i was shy lol i did not want him to get the idea that we do not understand the audio well (but it really is hahaha)

This stretch of highway near Sanford is haunted by German settlers who passed away from Yellow Fever back in the 1800s. The highway was supposedly built over their graves, and drivers report spooky sensations like ghostly voices on their phones and radios as well as orbs of light and phantom hitchhikers on the side of the road. Further, this stretch of I-4 is also known for the many car accidents that happen there.

Road #2: The Sunshine Skyway Bridge in Tampa

Head west to Tampa for this haunted road - it's worth the drive. The Sunshine Skyway Bridge is one of the most haunted spots near Orlando. People report seeing a ghost bus in the water and smelling the odor of gas, sourceless lights floating in the water, and a ghostly woman in white who hitchhikes her way across the bridge. It's scary in real life, too - in 1980 a freighter hit the bridge, killing more than 30 people, and over 200 people have jumped from the bridge since it was built. No matter which way you slice it, this haunted road is one for the books.

Road #3: Bellamy Bridge Road

This is one of the haunted roads up in the Panhandle - a drive from Orlando but again, worth it. Bellamy Bridge Road is a bridge in Marianna that spans the Chipola River. Supposedly, it's haunted by Elizabeth Jane Bellamy. She passed away but never left, and visitors report seeing dark shapes in the woods, a ball of fire descending out of the sky and through the bridge, and a ghostly young woman wandering the surrounding swamps.

The Norms and Planet Fenomena

Small Norm and Big Norm are mime-like aliens from the planet Fenomena and one of Velo's champions, technically they are the same person as Small Norm is the outer half and Big Norm is the inner half and can come out of him when Small Norm transforms into a blue slime

Small Norm is introverted and doesn't like racing, despite being a better racer than his other half, he would rather read books instead, he's also mute, being only capable of whistling and growling

Big Norm is extroverted and enjoys racing, being competitive and confident, he also hates wearing a mime costume

When losing, Small Norm would be upset and that he lost while Big Norm will complement the teams, Velo will also threaten to take away Norm's books

If playing as Team Bandicoot, Big Norm will be appreciative of their teamwork and yells at Small Norm to be nice with them, Big Norm will later explain that Small Norm pretends not to care about losing

If playing as Team Cortex, Cortex refuses to accept Big Norm's compliments and tells him to go away due to his personal trauma of being raised in a family of clowns, N Gin will clarify he's a mine but Cortex doesn't care

Fenomena is desert planet with an affinity for time and gargoyles, it features castles and gothic and medieval architecture, there's also giant sand worms

Out of Time is a desert filled with clocks, clock parts and giant sand worms (in the original Nitro Kart) and has giant clock tower in the center, the track is similar to the Lost Ruins's Dingo Canyon, the Crash Twitter also states that this is N Tropy's home track, however it's unknown if it confirms he's a native from Fenomena, this is also Norm's boss track, Small Norm will use square bubbles as weapons while Big Norm will use circular bubbles as weapons, Fake Crash can also be found on this track's offroad in the GBA version, stranded by a campfire, finding him will unlock him and he'll join Team Bandicoot

Clockwork Wumpa is a snowy clockwork castle with statues of gargoyles, giant bells, barrels of Wumpa Fruit, giant gears and machinery powered by Wumpa Juice, the track is also similar to Citadel City's Cortex Castle

Thunder Struck is a race course in the sky while it's in a rain storm, it features mountains, giant thorns, statues of gargoyles, and towers harnessing power from thunder clouds, there's also two giant statues of Small Norm carrying large hammers, the track is also similar to Citadel City's Hot Air Skyway

These wizards are. So dear to me,, let me tell you a little about them

1. Micah Skyweaver. As a young boy he lived with his parents and elder brother in Celestia. His brother was sent to Ravenwood and became a student of storm. One summer when he came home, there was an accident in which Micah was struck by lightning. Now terrified of this power that belonged to the sky, he became determined to learn everything about it, collecting books from the spiral over about the magic of the heavens. But instead of leading him down the path of storm like his brother, it led him to Astral magic. The sun, moon and stars were his domain, and when he wasn’t standing at the window of the Celestial Observatory, watching the skies, he was in the Astral Archives, learning to become a scholar of magic. It was here that he learned about Empyrea, the world at the heart of the spiral, and vowed that one day he would see it for himself.

2. Anya Silverblood. Anya is an Ice Wizard from Polaris. She ran away from home at the tender age of 17, as she was lonely and felt neglected by her family, feeling like little more than a ghost that wandered desolate tundaria. Between her family’s inattentive nature and the constant threat of violence and revolution, Anya had no choice but to take her leave of that wretched world. Eventually she found her way to dragonspyre, where she was adopted by a pair of musicologists, who use their songs to influence the narratives of the spiral. One, a resident of Darkmoor who had been forced to flee after a quarrel with her lover, and the other a pirate from Cool Ranch. Over time, she and the musicologists found more people just like them from across the spiral: a metallic construct from Avalon who had been accused of magic before it was made legal there and tossed into the Nothing; a pair of soldiers from Marleybone, who swear they’ve fought legions from the moon (but were probably just celestians that they didn’t yet understand). One, a wooden construct, like the haunted minions, who had been built for war and saw the universe a little differently than it’s companions. The other, a young man with keen eyes and a tendency to fly into an Achillean rage if those he held dear were hurt; a scholar from the Arcanum who lost her memory when the first Ark crashed; the daughter of an Aquilan inventor who flew too close to the sun; a pyromancer from a world long lost who grew tired of the constant fighting and set it all ablaze; and a celestian man from the era of war between man and machine, who is neither a baron nor a doctor. (They’re the mechanisms. I’m making the mechanisms in wizard101. If anyone else out there is also interested in both media please talk to me, I’m very normal about them I promise). But Anya drifted apart from the other musicologists, and cast herself out of their vessel, into the skyways, where she drifted in the dark for a very long time. The metallic blood that flowed through her veins kept her alive against all odds as she lost consciousness in the void. She hoped she would not mind it when she eventually woke up, and indeed found herself back in dragonspyre, where she had initially been adopted by that darkmoorian vampire so long ago, and was found again by a new group of adventurers that needed her help.

3. Tatiana Starwalker. I cannot do Tatiana’s intricate story justice myself, as they’re not my character. Here’s a link to @tatiana-starwalker’s post on the matter

I think we’ve established since this was posted that Tatiana is closer with Kimberly than Rowan, and did not attend ravenwood at the same time as our plucky protagonist, as they’ve got their own band of wizards to look after now, but you’ll have to correct me if I’m wrong <3

4. Rowan Drake Duskhaven. Ah yes, the young wizard themself. Rowan is originally from Dragonspyre but they don’t remember a life there. Instead they grew up on the streets of wizard city, chasing the firecats and feeding the unicorns. They were whisked off to Ravenwood as soon as Merle got wind of a prophecy concerning Rowan and their family, and since then they’ve studied necromancy and journeyed across the spiral, defeating threats as they rise and finding themself in the process. When Malistaire was defeated and Sylvia came around from the astral plane to tell him it’s time to rest, they discovered the true nature of their birth - a child of the Drake Family. When Ambrose’s prophecy told him that a dragonspyrian necromancer will either save or doom the spiral, he rounded up the last of the Drakes, and had Rowan adopted by a member of the Wizard City guard, hoping that this fate could be avoided. But Rowan cannot help their magical proficiency any more than they can disobey the prophecy. And so, the young wizard is what they became. The Great Prophecy regarding Morganthe is widely interpreted to be about a different wizard, however, as Rowan is from the spiral and therefore never “sailed the shadow sea,” meaning they never crossed the Nothing between the spiral and the outer universe. But in this story, the child never came, and so Rowan did their utmost to save the spiral each time it began to fall, despite knowing that they were not the one the Elders intended. It’s difficult to be the chosen one when you were never actually chosen, but they’re too compassionate to allow the worlds to shatter. They cannot let the worlds they love be destroyed no matter what.

5. Kimberly Earthfriend. The first wizard I ever created, she’s been with me since 2011. Kimberly was born and raised in Avalon, a healer to knights from across the realms and a friend to the fair folk and all the plants of the forest, which is where she gets her name. She was frequently found as a child wandering the woodland paths of Dun Dara, and was casting life magic almost before she could talk. At a very young age she showed a proficiency for magic the likes of which hadn’t been seen in a long while, and so was summoned to Ravenwood just in case she was the prophecy child, the child who shall sail the shadow sea. She was not, but she found great joy in Ravenwood, especially in magical duels. Since then she has competed in spiral cups and immortal games alike, travelling the spiral to spar with new and exciting opponents, and to search for interesting plants to journal about. She also loves gardening. She became close friends with Tatiana Starwalker in Wysteria, when Tatiana was competing in the Spiral Cup, as Kimberly spends a lot of time in Pigswick Academy during tournament season, tutoring young duellists for the cup and healing them up after battle. Now, she travels with the Young Wizard, acting as a strategist and healer for their quest.

6. Alexandra Goldeneyes. Alex is not really a bee, but the hive is the only home she’s ever known. She was abandoned in Khrysalis shortly before contact was lost with the rest of the Spiral, and was raised by Ezzric at the moon cliffs. When the Umbra Queen came knocking, she began to learn shadow magic, hoping to become one of the most powerful assets the Umbra Legion would ever know. But all that changed when Zaltanna rebelled. Alex and Zaltanna had been close as youngsters, and it didn’t take much convincing from her childhood friend to get Alex to join the fifth column instead. When the spellbinder tumbled through the ruined spiral door, Alex was sent as a guide, a liaison of sorts, to help the adventuring party get around Khrysalis, and to begin to teach Rowan the ways of shadow magic.

7. Cassandra Djeserit Lotusflower. Cassie was born and raised in Krokotopia, but taught herself moon magic at a young age so that she could disguise herself as human. She hated everything about the tomb of storms, where she attended her deceased family and helped them on their journeys through the duat. She wanted nothing to do with the Djeserits and despised the way that the manders were treated, often helping them to flee the tombs where she could get away with it. The order of the fang caught wind of her teaching herself the magic of the moon and called her to aid them when the kroks rose again. She jumped at the chance to get away, and was later trained in balance magic by Alhazred. She acts as a sort of mission control for Rowan’s group, staying behind in Krokotopia and keeping them informed whenever a new crisis rises so that they can attend to it ASAP.

By the time they reach the Arcanum, near the beginning of arc 3, the party looks more like this. Still led by Rowan, but a lot has changed. For a start, they’ve got a new member! Mellori is now a proud part of the team, though only until she’s sent to Ravenwood right before they go to Mirage. Alex decided to stay behind in Khrysalis, helping the bees and mantises to rebuild their lives. Anya was reunited with her family in Polaris, and decided to give things in her homeworld a second chance. Cassandra still remains in Krokotopia, and will send messages to the squad when they need to be informed of an upcoming disaster. Micah, Tatiana and Kimberly decided to stay with her young wizard, however. Micah has been scouted by the Arcanum to help out in the upcoming mission to Empyrea, as he knows so much about it already and has been preparing for this moment his whole life. He works closely with Ione, who hails from Empyrea and is teaching him to be less frightened of storms, and Qyburn, with whom he shares a great passion for astral magic. Kimberly is looking to eventually visit Wallaru, as Zander, her new lecturer, hails from this world, and he has much to teach her. She has signed up as an Arcanum initiate and will stay here throughout this part of the story, training with Zander. Tatiana is researching the Cabal, the Old One and the Firstworld, and looks forward to travelling to Lemuria to survey the Old One’s work. And Rowan, of course, is still saving the Spiral. Since grandfather spider was released, they have a lot of work to do.

I am turning Little Oil into a power plant. Big Oil will be constructed solely to produce goods, although I may supplement the power demand with a small amount of Petroleum Coke.

It may be time to build a Skyway.

The hunt for hard drives continues. With a little luck, I'll get a recipe I like.

My conquest against the local environment continues as well. The war on trees may be over, but the war on the atmosphere has just begun.

The Triangle of the Burle

Note: I'm an English learner and I wrote this text to practise my written English. If you want to give me feedback about my English, please go ahead!

The Triangle de la Burle, in English, the Triangle of the Burle, is an area located in France, on the East of the Massif Central, between Ardèche, Loire and Haute-Loire. It is known for its supposedly abnormal amount of airplane crashes. Its name comes from French journalist Jean Peyrard who published a book about the Triangle entitled “Le Triangle de la Burle  - Bermudes en Cévenne” [The Triangle of the Burle - Bermuda in the Cévennes]. As you can see, this name is a reference to the Bermuda Triangle. As for the Burle, it is the name of a north wind that blows in the region during winter.

According to some, since the 1940s there has been a high amount of plane accidents in this area. Some witnesses say they have seen UFOs such as balls of light in the air.

The first accident happened on November 3 1943. A Hallifax from the Royal Air Force crashed during the night near the village of Marcols-les-Eaux. Seven of the eight soldiers on board died. There was a storm on that night, which probably caused the accident. However, some people said that they had seen luminous objects around the plane.

The Triangle of the Burle became known internationally when a Skyways plane crashed in the region on May 13 1948. There were three crew members and four passengers. One of the passengers was Kathleen Kennedy, JFK’s sister.

There are also cases of plane crashes where, when the rescuers go to the area where the accident happened, they find nothing, and no plane is declared lost. It is called a crash de rien, a nothing crash.

There are all kinds of theories to explain those accidents. As said earlier, bad weather is one of them. This area is one of the regions with the largest number of volcanic pipes in the world. Those pipes are said to canalise an energy that can disturb planes’ devices. There is a large amount of quartz as well, which can have an influence too. Some think the cause of these events comes from the sky, as some objects were observed in the air. Magnetic perturbations were also suggested as a possibility, as it could disturb navigation devices. It might come from electromagnetic clouds or from the volcanic ground.

The existence of the triangle has been questioned by the association Ardéchois à Paris in an article published on their website. They argue that most of the accidents associated with the triangle happened outside the area. The main cause, according to them, is the weather. The Cévennes are known for facing strong rains and violent storms. There are also periods of fog, which is especially dangerous in the mountains. The association also states that many of these accidents happened because of human mistakes.
