Seer Massacre? What caused that? And among NightWings no less?
Diamondsight’s mother, the previous queen, concocted an elaborate plan to invite every seer/mindreader to a gala under the guise of recruiting them to her court - only to then later trap and execute them. She operated on a recently-popularised NightWing belief that dragons with different or ‘superior’ abilities are bound to use them for evil or at least to disrupt the status quo (a rhetoric semi-based on Eerie lore that I still need to flesh out)
The plan involved a lot of dragons and skyfire and meticulously constructed mind-fuckery in order to trick people who can Read Minds and See The Future into going where they wanted (and of course quite a few of em survived by just not going to this murder party, Astral being one of em). The Queen morbidly considered it her ‘greatest work’

ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE. I'm still very much cooking but I'll write down what I'm thinking so far.
I love these two so much. It's absolutely insane how the two bots least likely to trust anyone became partners, and while the show wouldn't upset the status quo so majorly, I really wanted to see Auto Berserk go a different way.
So Starscream is sick of Megatron's scrap, and getting abandoned on the battlefield was the last straw. Red Alert is on a hair trigger and thinks the autobots are going to take him apart for scraps. Starscream spots an opportunity!
He pulls Red Alert aside to hide him from the autobots and start his plotting and scheming. It's them two against the world now, and if they can get the negavator, no one will be able to stop them anymore. Starscream wants to finally be on top (but secretly he just wants to finally be safe) and Red Alert wants the security (even though his personality will always find something to be paranoid about). They need therapy your honor.
Starscream is in a pretty good place here! Red Alert isn't hard to manipulate, all Starscream has to do is play into his fears. It's free partner (but watch out)!
I have this vivid image in my head of Red Alert jumping at the slightest of sounds, interpreting anything and everything as a threat to him and his new partner. On one hand, it's kind of annoying to keep talking him down from a false alarm, but on the other... Starscream never had anyone by his side before who was so genuinely concerned for his safety. He's always had to look out for number one because no one else would. Skyfire was the only one who would, but even after he was found in the ice, that didn't last long. Uh oh, he's getting attached.
On Red Alert 's end, he's getting to see a completely different side of Starscream. The flaky SIC gets so much scrap for his cowardice and general gremlin behavior (not to mention how the autobots literally joke about the Megatron domestic abuse), but without the autobots or the decepticons around, Starscream is surprisingly competent. It'll definitely give him something to think about when his logic circuits aren't buzzing like bees on crack.
Then they capture the negavator. All the factions and the two defectors are in one high stakes fight. Red Alert's not doing too hot, Starscream wants to make sure he doesn't leave him for rejoin the autobots without stressing him out so much he explodes, and then Megatron chooses this moment to come in like the kool aid man.
It comes down to this: claim he was getting the weapon for Megatron... Or stick with Red Alert. The answer is obvious isn't it? Megatron will kill him if he doesn't get into his good graces immediately. But Starscream hesitates. The reason he got into this mess was that Megatron left him for dead even when he wasn't being actively traitorous. He's alive as long as he is useful, and even that isn't a guarantee. But for all his paranoia, Red never threatened Starscream's life.
Red Alert sees Starscream's hesitation, and for a moment he fears Starscream will betray him. He should have known not to trust the Decepticon notorious for his treachery. But Starscream instead calls for a tactical retreat for the defectors.
I'm a bit fuzzy on what happens next, but the gist of it is Starscream chose Red Alert over Megatron, and Red returns the favor. They are besties, do not separate. On one hand, I want Screamy to have more defector vacation bc there's no way he'd drop everything and join the autobots so easily. But at the same time, using his null ray to calm down Red Alert's overactive circuits is a temporary measure, and Red will have to get medical attention sooner or later, and when he does he will return to his own faction.
They are so star crossed. They worked so well together when they both acted as neutrals (ignoring the gaslighting. Shhhh it's my sandbox now I do what I want) but that can't last and it's 😭😭😭🥺🥺🥺. Unless Starscream gets his head out of his tailpipe. Hence, I'm grabbing him by the throat and shoving him in the redemption bin. Somehow.

Hm... How about any characters you want with a big scary Cybertronian SO whose actually a sweetheart?
(G1) Starscream, (MTMTE/IDW1) Misfire, & (MTMTE/IDW1) Ambulon with a scary Cybertronian S/O who is really a sweetheart:
Starscream
{The two of you knew each other way before the war- and you also knew Skyfire, so Starscream knows how you are.}
{He knows that your just sweet- especially to him- and don’t really fight, but the others don’t know that- besides his trine. He likes seeing Megatron get nervous around you, as well as the Autobots.}
{If anything happens to him- either by the Autobots, Megatron, or something/someone else, you’re taking him to your shared quarters and cuddling with him, while trying your best with words.}
{You and Starscream will use your ‘scary’ status sometimes- mainly against Megatron, if he happens to be really angry at Starscream for failing.}
{When Starscream finally manages to become leader of the ‘Cons (although its short lived), you cuddle him then and there, complimenting your Conjunx. The others find this kind of awkward, but they’re still nervous/scared of you.}
Misfire
{You stormed your way onto the ship shortly after Krok and Spinister managed to save him- you almost got blasted by the two (mainly Spin), but Misfire quickly managed to defuse the situation and explain.}
{You’re much bigger than Grimlock and Spinister- arguably the tallest Scavengers, but they’re just in second and third place.}
{The two of you talk a ton, and are both kind of affectionate most of the time- the others see the two of you holding servos most of the time- and other times, you’re just holding him close.}
{You’ll protect him- and so will Grimlock. The group’s gotten into a lot of situations where they have to fight, and once the one(s) who caused it sees the two of you, Misfire can see that they’re nervous.}
{You’re just... very nice and affectionate with him, which Misfire likes. Especially when the two of you are alone. No matter where the two of you are, there’s so much you’re doing for him and saying.}
Ambulon
{There were things that Pharma wanted to do against Ambulon- but he never really could- considering that you were always with the mech, glaring deeply at Pharma whenever he happened to be around.}
{If Ambulon ever has a relatively bad day, you’re right there with him. Offering him any sort of comfort, while also offering to just go have a chat with whoever upset him (if it was somebody).}
{You’re always defending Ambulon, too, from countless things- and it’s actually a mech or something, they’re always quick to back off.}
{Everyone thinks you’re just scary and that’s it- they don’t know what you’ll do- besides Ambulon and the other medics.}

Another comic in my TFA au verse. For millions of stellar cycles Powerglide has been trying to find a doctor able and willing to help repair Skyfire. Many Autobot doctors didn't want to aid a former Decepticon, especially one of a status like Skyfire's (being among the Decepticon's top scientist and their 2nd in command's ex might have a lot to do with that).
Recently they've run into another former Decepticon now a neutral living on Cybertron. He hopes Knockout will help his Conjunx Endure.

Imperial harem au
so how does the first meeting between starscream and his harem go?
Simple: it doesn't 🤭
Starscream is very against the idea and is definitely dragging his feet. Usually he thrives on attention, and you'd think he'd be all over the idea of schmoozing with a bunch of wealthy and well-bred beauties desperately clamoring for his attention and trying to seduce him.
But no. Starscream may be a narcissistic and he does love attention, but this Starscream is incredibly young compared to the one we know in canon. He's fresh out of school, has just graduated with his first degree. The closest thing he's ever had to a real relationship is Skyfire, and that whole thing is messy, to say the least, due to Vosian politics. He's not in any rush to give himself to anyone, not only because he's young and inexperienced and wants to be strategic about it, but because it feels so completely objectifying. Dehumanizing, if you will. One of those concubines is going to be his future trine mate, whether he likes it or not, and he's dreading it. He doesn't know these people. He can't stand the idea of spending the rest of his life tied to a couple strangers that will only be using him for the position of royalty for the rest of his life. And he has to touch them to do it? No thank you. This Starscream is so wet behind the ears and has been so dedicated to his studies he's not even had his first time yet. He wants it to happen naturally, wants it to be with someone that'll make it feel good physically and emotionally.
So, he's not exactly jumping for joy when the day comes for the ceremony to be performed, to welcome the contenders into the palace. His parents go all out, naturally: though they may be of higher rank, they're still greeting and welcoming a bunch of very important young lords and ladies as their extended guests, and the last thing they want to do is insult their families and cause turmoil. The professions are grand, palace gates and courtyard decorated with finery and dazzling lights and jewels as each one arrives, all dolled up in the finest paint and polish with an entourage of attendants handpicked from their less fortunate relatives, being led by the head trine of their aerie coming to present them.
Starscream is naturally posted with the Winglord and his trine as the offerings arrive; each and every one is clearly well loved and doted on, soft and lovely faces, plenty of jewelry and ceremonial glyphs, grace incarnate as they approach. Upon each of their forehelms they're marked with the titles they have been awarded, traditionally indicating which house they hail from. The Peaceful, Vigorous, Wise, Protective, and Gilded Consorts. The final one is the only one he pays any attention to, presented from the noble house second only in power to his own. The beloved grandson of the House of Commerce's matriarch is covered helm to thrusters in metallic golden glyphs, draped in golden chains and golden bracelets. The other concubines have their glyphs done in traditional black or white. It's quite a statement, and is rife with cheek. He sparkles and shines so brilliantly it's hard to look at him, and it's a clear statement to everyone: he's the favorite to win.
Thundercracker himself has a deadpan look on his face, optics blank and laser focused straight ahead of him, expression cold and unwavering and perfect like a lovingly sculpted statue. He's the very picture of icy cold arrogance and class, and even without his parents' say-so Starscream knows he should probably be one of the two he chooses. His House has the economy in the palm of their hand, after all, and own over half the city's assets and housing. Grand Matriarch Permafrost deeply adores him, her favorite grandchild of all, and to snub them would not bode well.
Following the welcome ceremony where he says all of but six words, "I thank you for your presence.", the concubines are taken to the inner palace's courtyard to settle in and be assigned their pavillions. Traditionally at this point the prince would go survey the goods one on one, but Starscream couldn't care less. He doesn't want to go. The sooner he sets foot in there the sooner he'll have to start performing nightly duties, and he's quietly dreading it. Being with another person seems like such a big deal and he feels vaguely nauseous at having to be touched by someone he barely knows.
He avoids it as long as he can, squirreling himself away in inconspicuous library wings to study law or mathematics or anything, really, so long as no one can say he's wasting time. He is, mind you, but at least he's doing something productive. A unique brand of procrastination, to be sure 🤭 this goes on for exactly a decacycle (10 days), before the Winglord steps in. Sternly telling him that he has to actually go see his concubines, and while a vorn may sound like a long time, conceptions can be finicky. If he wants to get to know them better before bedding them, that's fine, but in that case he needs to actually make an effort to familiarize himself. A new private rule is implemented: he has to go see each of the concubines at least once a decacycle: that's 5 days out of every 10 that he has to go visit the inner palace, effectively immediately. He's less than thrilled.
He has no idea which one to visit first, so leaves it up to chance. Tosses all five names into a random generator and decides whichever one it spits out, that's who he's going to see
...
I have already decided who he's going to visit first and the drama that ensues 🤭 any guesses owo
#vosian imperial harem drama#im thoroughly enjoying building this!#i think i inadvertently make every character i write a little bit asexual oops#Starscream is just like........ i COULD hsve sex but i could also do science. and really. whats more important?#starscream

My Thoughts on Santalla
lul bad just use Eyja instead
Are they gone? Did I bait them into trying to find the upvote button on tumblr? Good good.
Now I'm going to do a lot of work arguing Santalla from a position of general good faith and wanting to encourage others to experiment with her. That cannot be done without acknowledging that her class, the Splash or AoE Caster, is one of the worst in the entire game. They have very high DP costs, limited range, and pretty low attack speed. This results in a pretty poor DPS even for a class that's meant to manage crowds of enemies. I'm sure we can all post funny numbers about how Eyja does like 8 billion damage. Let's push past that for now. Splash Casters still have their perks. Santalla HP: 1,640 (+155 from Module) ATK: 770 (+90 from Trust) (+32 from Potential 4) (+70 from Module) DEF: 123 RES: 20 Redeployment Time: 70 seconds (-4 sec from Potential 3) DP Cost: 33 (-1 from Potentials 2 and 6) (-8 from Module) Attack Interval: 2.9 seconds Talent: After being deployed for 20 seconds, this unit gains ATK +15% and Status Resistance (+3% ATK from Potential 5) (-5 seconds and +5% ATK from Module)
Let's start with a discussion of the basics. The stats. While not super notable, she is the bulkiest of the 5-star Splash Casters, having better HP and DEF than all of them. She's a little less bulky than either Mostima or Dusk (and considerably less if its Module X Dusk, which it won't be), but this isn't a tanking class so its not a major deal.
Her offense is the key part of the show here. Her ATK with just her trust bonus is 860, which doesn't stack well against Lava's 888, Leonhardt's 863, or Skyfire's 874. Mostima's 939 and Dusk's 1,028 ATK seem to have pigeonholed Santalla into a bulky, unoffensive position.
Santalla's talent is an incredible saving grace here. It's easy to activate and will always be active when her skill is up, and the resulting 15% ATK boost puts her effective ATK at 989, making her more comparable with the 6-stars. The key here, when compared with Leonhardt's, Skyfire's, or Dusk's talents is the general ease of this talent. 20 seconds sounds like a lot, but at Mastery Level 3, her S2 has a 20 second charge time on deployment, so its downtime that's already covered.
If you were to push Santalla to her peak performance, here is how her ATK would compare to the others:
Santalla: 1,183 Lava the Purgatory: 950 Leonhardt: 1,013 (He will always have one stack of his talent due to how video games work: with 8 enemies in range his ATK is 1,351) Skyfire: 977 Mostima: 1,055 Dusk Module Y: 1,144 (Potential max of 1,556 with 18 kills) Dusk Module X: 1,142 (Potential max of 1,690 with 24 kills)
Truthfully, the raw attack stat isn't the most relevant thing on the block. But it does give a decent indicator of what exactly Santalla is working with, and the fact that she can hang with the 6-stars while off-skill is genuinely really impressive, although Leonhardt is probably a little bit better than her at that.
Also worth noting that she gets Status Resistance from her talent. This is cool. Not like, the most insane thing in the world but getting less owned by status occasionally comes up.
From this point forward, I will be discussing what I consider Santalla's base (Max Level and 100% Trust) and near max power (all the goodies, except for potential BUT you get whipped cream to use as you like), and that her talent is always active. This is to give players who maybe are a bit worried about investing her module some idea of how much it impacts her. For the latter, keep in your head that her ATK with her talent up is 1,116.
Her base DPS, assuming she is attacking an enemy with 0 RES, is 341 damage per second. With her module, this increases to 384.
Skill 1
I'm not going to go over this one in detail. No one is wowed by Swift Strike gamma. But to go over what it does to her DPS briefly: +45 ASPD is enough to reduce her attack interval to 2 seconds flat. At base, Santalla's ATK will go up to 1,376, giving her a DPS of 688, about a 102% increase. With her module, she will have an ATK of 1,534, resulting in a DPS of 767, or a 100% increase.
This makes sense. Since Santalla's talent already gives her a decent ATK buff, the improved ATK buff from her module will create a little bit more diminishing returns, and on the whole, the DPS increase is than the expected amount at 210%. On a whole, if you raise this all the way up, Santalla does double damage over 35 seconds. Probably not jumping out of your seats on that one.
Skill 2
Oh boy, this skill. This skill has a lot to cover, let's start with the description.
[Attack Range expands, Attack Interval shortens massively, and attacks now summon icicles over random areas within range. When the icicles fall, all enemies in the area are inflicted with Cold for 1 seconds and dealt 90% of Santalla's ATK as Arts damage.]
Going over it in detail: -Santalla's range expands to include the 4th row, identical to Marksmen snipers -Her attack interval is reduced by 2.4 seconds, all the way down to 0.5 seconds. This means she will attack twice a second, getting in 30 attacks over her skill duration. -Randomly is both correct and not correct. It's time to bring in diagrams.
Icicle falling is semi-random. One icicle will fall in column B (the left column), followed by an icicle in column D (the right column), and finally by an icicle in column C (the middle column). Using the diagram as a metric, you can consider it like this:
Random(B1, B2, B3, B4) THEN Random (D1, D2, D3, D4) THEN Random (C1, C2, C3, C4). (Yes, she can target her own square, this is a reminder to always double check your thinking lol) -Her icicles explode with a radius of 1.5 tiles. To explain what this looks like:
Here is an Attack on "C2". Fortunately, Santalla's effects make it really easy to visually confirm this. Even as she is slaughtering Originium Slugs.
-Cold for 1 second might initially give the impression that Santalla needs to chain together back to back hits with her skill in order to inflict and sustain freeze. This isn't true: she does however need to score a hit within the next two hits.
youtube
I would watch the first six seconds or so on 0.5x speed and count. Santalla is allowed to miss one of her hits and still keep her cold and freeze going. This is going to be really important once we talk about how her probabilities work.
-Each attack will deals damage equal to 90% of Santalla's ATK. This is a modifier applied after her attack buff from her talent, but BEFORE Res is applied. We'll be talking about her damage primarily in 0 RES situations, but this will be important later on for an example. For now, at base, Santalla's icicles will do 890 damage, and with her module they will do 1,004 damage. This is an 11.1% decrease in damage.
With all of that out of the way, phew, let's talk about the skill as a whole. This is a crowd control skill that looks to freeze enemies with multiple icicle hits. This is a pretty nice idea actually. Freeze is a really powerful source of crowd control and an enemy could theoretically be pinned down for the entire 15 second duration. Critically also, being Frozen reduces enemy RES by 15, giving Santalla some sneaky extra damage. This naturally relies on quite a bit of luck though, and enemy position is really, really important.
In particular, you might have been clever and noticed a connection between her attack pattern and how many hits she needs to land to Freeze an enemy and sustain the Frozen condition. The initial hit needs to land, and then one of the two next hits also needs to land. This means that, for any given enemy in her attack range, they need to be hit by an icicle from a different column in order to be frozen.
This also plays very weirdly with enemies outside of her attack range. Since the icicles have an explosion range of 1.5 tiles, she can hit enemies outside of her attack range, but whether she can freeze them or not is actually dependent on where exactly they are outside of her attack frame.
Geometry is fucking sick y'all.
Due to the rules of how this works, Santalla cannot actually freeze enemies outside of her attack range if they are on either side of her attack range. The only icicles that can hit those areas are all from the same column, so it's not viable. Only at the very front and directly behind her attack range are viable options, and its pretty specific both in location and which icicles have to fall. But it is technically possible.
Since we know the rules and can properly map out how each icicle will impact the map, we can do something really interesting: we can calculate a general probability as a guideline for how likely an enemy is to be frozen when in any specific tile. Do note for this I am assuming the enemy is in the center of the tile and not moving. This is a guideline, I am not smart enough to brain out every possible solution and factoring in movement is about my brain grade.
We can discount the middle tile of icicles because those won't factor in here. Assuming out helpful little enemy in C3 was hit, what are the chances that Santalla will freeze him with her next two attacks? Well the left column and the right column have three viable options out of four, so this is pretty simple to figure out. We only need one to hit, so we can include all solutions that include a positive left and right hit (56.25%), all solutions that include a positive left and negative right (18.75%), and vice versa (18.75%). The only solutions left are two negative hits (6.25%) which is out failure rate, giving us a success rate of: 93.75%!
(This is assuming all squares are weighted equally.)
Since the spread is symmetrical, we only have to test for 8 different locations. B1 and D1 are essentially the same but flipped after all.
B1/D1: Only hits in C1 and C2 are positive. This gives us a 50% chance. B2/D2: C1, C2, and C3 are positive. 75% chance. B3/B4: C2, C3, and C4 are positive. 75% chance. B4/D4: C3 and C4 are positive. 50% chance. C1: B1, B2, D1, and D2 are positive. 75% chance. C2: B1, B2, B3, D1, D2, and D3 are positive. 93.75% chance. C3: B2, B3, B4, D2, D3, and D4 are positive. 93.75% chance. C4: B3, B4, D3, and D4 are positive. 75% chance.
The cool thing about rectangles is they are symmetric both ways, which makes the actual math part of this a lot easier. In general:
The closer to the center of the attack range an enemy is, the more likely they will be frozen and remain frozen.
There's one little quirk though I forgot to mention. While icicles will fall randomly in her attack range, they will not fall in squares that are considered out of bounds such as squares occupied by a wall. I mean come on, there couldn't be a map that could be abused with, could there?
Let's say we are sick and tired of that bastard Sarkaz Guerilla Fighter, and he's parked in the center of the first row, and we park Santalla right below him.
Suddenly the top two rows are out of bounds, so when Santalla uses her skill, she will only attack six squares. What happens to the poor Sarkaz Guerilla Fighter who is sitting in C2?
Well C2's positive hits are B1, B2, D1, and D2. Those are the only squares Santalla can hit. So Santalla will perma-freeze the Sarkaz Guerilla Fighter and hit him with all 30 of her attacks of her skill!
(2 * (Damage * 0.5)) + (28 * (Damage *0.65)) is the formula that will tell us how much damage the fighter will take.
At base, the Sarkaz Guerilla Fighter will take: 17,074 damage. With module, the Sarkaz Guerilla Fighter will take: 19,288 damage.
We did it gang. We killed the 10,000 HP Sarkaz Guerilla Fighter because this stage gives him a hidden HP buff. Santalla is the greatest.
Well...no. Even if you can guarantee all 30 hits will lands on an enemy with 0 RES, your total skill damage comes out to 26,700 and 30,120 damage respectively. It is a genuinely pretty impressive DPS, sitting at 1,780 and 2008 respectively, but this requires not only good positioning but also very intentional knowledge of the map. There will be maps where it is simply impossible for Santalla to do this.
You might be wondering what the chances of an enemy in tiles C2 or C3 are of getting hit with all 30 attacks from Santalla's skill. Fortunately, that's very easy. We take the success rate on any attack (75%) and multiply it by itself the number of times we need. 0.75 ^ 30. That can't be that bad right?
0.018%. It's pretty low. Comparatively, you might ask, what are the chances a corner tile enemy is never hit? Well we thankfully can avoid all right-side hits, as those will never hit an enemy on the left side. 10 are automatic misses. The remaining 20 are 50/50s. 0.5 ^ 20.
0.000095%. So okay, to be entirely fair, its really unlikely you will just never hit an enemy. Santalla will generally do _some_ damage and inflict Cold. If you can deploy blockers to keep enemies from leaving her attack range, chances are she's going to do decent work.
The big problem with this skill, the reason I made all the graphics and did the probabilities and what not, is that Santalla is inconsistent. Unless you're smart and use her wisely, there's a good chance that she can not perform to what you need her to do. Figuring how much of an impact she'll have on average is frankly a level of math I'm not qualified to do, but you have to construct her greatest scenarios deliberately. She's not quite plug and play.
Conclusions
There's probably an argument that whatever you want Santalla to do, Gnosis can do better. That's likely true. He's way more consistent at locking down large crowds of enemies with freeze and maintains a pretty good sum of damage on them too. But I think Santalla is the kind of operator who while inconsistent, is going to be fun to optimize and make work. Getting Santalla to work is rather rewarding thanks to the combination of her good DPS and a powerful 14.5 second permafreeze. But you won't always be able to make that happen, and I think planning around her inconsistency will also be an important part in managing her viability.
I think its actually a really good idea to pair her with Gnosis. The massive Fragile debuff Gnosis provides happens at the very end of the damage calculation, which is quite impactful. Santalla can be comboed with other strong crowd control operators too, such as Magallan (lesbians for life), and Saria.
Plus I'm sure if you do the dumbshit buffing set-ups she can take out Patriot. Chop chop. Make it happen.
#arknights#santalla#if you ask why this is so long fuck you i figured out how to make good looking diagrams for arknights shit i deserve this

If you can get close enough: Not quite a rumor, as lord Francel has been hush-hush about it... A scene not dissimilar to the past; goods he had shipped in to the new district come in damaged with a pristine box. Leading him to believe in an outside source of sabotage. While not the leading reason behind why it's being built, he has become the face and driving force, with his leadership, steadily upsetting an internal, or external balance. Will he, and yours, be able to get to the bottom, or is there some aid which may be proffered? (this would be an extensive and cooperative endeavor, across many platforms, with intertwining stories.)
Low Stakes RP Hooks and Opportunities!
Would You Like To Dance?: Francel is, for all intents and purposes, a young lord, as such one would think him versed in the multitude of arts which may be related to music to some extent. Alas, since he was but a child, and despite many lessons, the habit of sneaking out and shirking such duty prevailed, and he wiles away the gala and gatherings in the gardens. He has two left feet now, is it possible then, that one could show him the way? Such world as he lives in, he can no longer get away with being a wallflower, or hidden away with his new public position.
Snowbank Blues: Does your character wander Coerthas? What about Ishgard's city proper? Lord Francel does; between Camp Dragonhead, and Skyfire Locks, as well as near to the ruins of the Steel Vigil and thus, Providence Point to a certain memorial with frequency... He does not always squirrel himself away, and one may find him praying in the cathedral, nestled in a bakery, or at those old encampments. Is that a look of melancholy as he wanders, and as he sits?
Ever Sleepless: The morning is subjective, right? This is said because lord Francel has little (a lot) of trouble sleeping. Is he up early? Or did he go to sleep late? If at all? He can be safely visited at odd hours. Does your character serve a lesser House which would be in contact with House Haillenarte? Lord Francel may just be the easiest contact to have, as a go-between, from their House, to His. Meetings of most any nature can be held in the late, or early mornings, and he will ever lend and ear to any plight with which he may be able to assist.
OOC Outlines & Communication
Hi there! Francel mun here, you can call me Francy, or Fran or other such variations as please you.
The muse and mun are 21+ and respectfully request all who approach to be.
My expectations are maturity, respect and communication. Such facets as I play Francel as, commanding of maturity and respect can be unlocked with our friendship and story progression! Communication is key.
I accept mature themes with communication, romance centric plots, angst, slice of life, adventure. Anything outlined in the hooks are a possibility. But do know, the hooks listed here are not all there is in the world of possibility! But if you are lost, they could be a starting point. I am open to all kinds of possibilities, and would love the chance to explore with you. Please know, interaction is NOT limited to just within Ishgard and Coerthas, he can travel abroad now! And will have to, from time to time, for business.
Response times vary, but I like to think I am very considerate of your time! I also write to match, most times. Short-form and long-form, or, from several sentence story lines, to multi length paragraph plots. Simplistic, or introspective. Flavors can change.
In-game roleplay is a little harder for me, but I do enjoy it, this will take some planning and cooperation.
First contact me here for communication purposes before we move to such platforms as Guilded, or Discord.

Hope I have done this right!

- Intro Post ⋆。°✩
| Hello! My name is Ori/Bee/Star or V1 and i am 20. This is primarily my otherkin/personal blog, however ill probably post whatever. ^^
i'm an artist and occasional animator, i also do livestreams every so often. i love drawing robots or fanart of things i like, i also draw furries. I am autistic, adhd and likely (quiet) bpd.
i am agender, my pronouns are they/he/it/bot. i do not mind most gendered terms (although i tend to prefer the masc ones, there is exceptions) so you can use he or "look at the little guy!" the way you would if you saw a little robot wearing a fancy hat. Im also Greysexual and Queer.
My Kins/Kintypes (will go more in depth another time)
Robotkin/Machinekin - Nonspecific, i feel this with anything that could be referred to as a machine, electronic or mechanical. Although with robots im most attached to ones with non-humanoid faces. This was the first kin-thing i discovered about myself!
Angelkin - i believe this is also nonspecific, but im most drawn to multiple winged ones, the statues of angels, or depictions of them being abstract like beings of pure light.
Fictionkin - v Here is a list of my fictional character kins v
Starscream (Transformers) - My highest(and most intense) kin, mainly G1 starscream or similar versions (earthspark and some comics). He is incredibly important to me. Skyfire also plays an important comfort role to me because of this kin, I do ship them so i am incredibly attached to them both.
Bumblebee (Transformers) - Much less intense of a kin, i mainly kin G1 or the bumblebee movie version (or similar ones in some comics once again)
V1 (ULTRAKILL) - Realised this kin at the same time i realised i was robotkin! Was also a very intense kin, however its calmed down as im hyperfixated on starscream/transformers at the moment.
Questioning/not sure
Starkin - This may link with Angelkin, as i do see stars and angels as connected/appearing similar.. not sure.
Birdkin - Same thing, i do very much relate with having wings. some of their behaviours i also feel attached to, but im unsure if its just because i associate them with other kins..
Deerkin - Ive had certain shifts that seem to align with deer, ive always been quite drawn to them.
Foxkin - i connect a lot with the way foxes act and used to identify with them a lot in my early teen years, some shifts ive had could also align with them.
Interests (some, at least..)
Transformers (current special interest) | Robots/anything mechanical (also special interest)
Space/Sci-fi | Character analysis (or overanalysing..) | Art/Animation (of course)
(Any kind of) Science ( i am not smart enough to understand it fully but im autistic enough to find it exciting regardless /hj)
Video games in general (ULTRAKILL, Undertale/Deltarune, Fnaf, Splatoon, Portal, to name a few) | Phasmophobia/Lethal Company/Among us
Clowns/Jesters | Markiplier (his videos and his projects) | Good omens
Other
With fictional kins i do tend to feel discomfort with doubles (people who share the same kin) however you can still interact, i do try to look past the discomfort.
DNI if youre a weirdo (proship, homophobe/transphobe, racist, ect.)
i'll likely never post anything entirely nsfw here, but im not sure about suggestive stuff,. it will be tagged if i do, so if you dont want to see that it should be easily filtered out! i'll likely leave it all below a "read more" anyway just to be safe.
Dont be shy to interact! whether its to ask questions or anythin!

For the ask thingy... I have a feeling I might know some of the answer to this, but here's a two-fer. Take your pick (or answer both if you're in the mood): - OpStar -OpFire
OpStar: Don't ship it.
Why don’t you ship it?
Well, for starters, there's Optimus laughing at the idea of Megatron doing horrible things to Starscream. Bit off-putting, that.
More generally, Optimus has a... morality thing. Specifically, his own view on morality, which he pushes onto anyone in his vicinity. Which, y'know. Starscream is a villain, you kinda have to redeem him if the ship is actually going to work, right? Or file off his rough edges and make him Secretly A Good Person Actually, or a generally good person/helpless victim who just needs to See The Light.
Two problems with this: first, I prefer corruption arcs. Let Starscream bring people to the Dark Side, darn it. And second, Optimus does not practice what he preaches. One might even call him a hypocrite. Case in point, mind control is Evil when the Bad Guys do it, but he was perfectly happy to try controlling the Constructicons - and through them, Devastator - in The Core. And if mind control is an acceptable approach to turning people to your side, what does that mean for the ex-Decepticon you're looking to bed? I wouldn't trust any canon Optimus to treat Starscream with legitimate kindness, save for Armada Optimus. Because he actually did that. And maybe EarthSpark, but we only have a couple lines of dialogue to go on so far, so I'll reserve judgement there.
(Note of clarification, most of my Optimus Problems apply to G1 versions of the character. I actually kind of like other Optimii. Still don't ship him with Starscream, though).
As for Starscream, he's not going to do a 180 and suddenly be a loyal and obedient follower just because he gets some praise once in a while (if he does, that's incredibly unhealthy and he shouldn't be in a relationship with someone who could very easily take advantage of him). Starscream has opinions and ideas. And when he sees someone doing something stupid, he's going to call them on it. But Optimus does what Optimus thinks best, and if Starscream thinks differently, they are going to fight. And Optimus isn't going to listen to him, because he doesn't listen. Doubly so if Starscream's opinion can be construed as immoral.
Tl;dr: they would be horrible together.
2. What would have made you like it?
I think TFP is the only place where they would have had a chance with me, so... Maybe if Optimus had tried to reach out to Starscream after Arcee chased him off? But the irony is, if Optimus was the kind of person who could be trusted with Starscream's well-being, he would also recognize that his status as a powerful authority figure makes him someone Starscream shouldn't be in a relationship with. So it still wouldn't work.
3. Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?
It's fun when they argue. Which has nothing to do with them as a pairing, I just enjoy when their dynamic is ruthlessly antagonistic.
-
OpFire (just gonna lump Jetfire in with Skyfire): Don't ship it.
Why don’t you ship it?
I ship Skyfire with one (1) person. Irrationally uncomfortable seeing him with someone else. OTP in the purest sense of the term.
Optimus is not that one person.
2. What would have made you like it?
Might need to rewire my brain, tbh. First, I'd need to be comfortable shipping Skyfire with someone else. Second, I would need to like Optimus enough to ship him with anyone. Third, they would need to have enough in common that I could ship them specifically.
Impossible task, I would say.
3. Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?
I had a roommate a few years ago who really liked anime, so I decided Armada would be a good way to introduce them to Transformers. They came away with a few ships, including Optimus/Jetfire. And they decided the ship name was Flying Fish, because of how the pair's combined form looks.
So that's a fun little story.
#transformers#Starscream#Skyfire#Not gonna tag the pairings since I went pretty negative on them#Unsure if I should tag Optimus because I went pretty negative on him too#Ah well

Why do people hate IS3 compared to IS2?
I've seen a decent amount of people who dislike IS3 and prefer IS2, or even find IS3 to be a regression or a push away from what made IS2 good. This isn't me trying to refute those claims necessarily, just understand them
Here's two of the most common things I seem to see people say, and why I don't really understand them:
IS3 has more RNG run-killing bullshit This complaint probably comes from things like rejections and a few bad emergency ops (territorial tendencies, water and fire union, etc). While those things can be a pain, I personally find IS3 to have far less RNG compared to IS2. Wish Fulfilled nodes offering a choice of collectible rather than just a random one is far better for shaping the kind of synergies you want to get rolling, and the odds of losing out on a good collectible you really want are slim as you can reroll a 1. Fortuitous Opportunities likewise give you a chance to turn otherwise worthless collectibles into something that contributes to your overall strategy. Whereas in IS2 targeting an ending like Mouthpiece or Playwright is a hellish RNG farm to get maybe 10% of runs through the required random encounters to trigger it, in IS3 a solid majority of my runs see the encounter necessary for Last Knight, Ishar'mla, or both. Additional shop options such as rerolling or fighting Cannot also help to let you see more collectible choices throughout the run and give you more agency in shaping your synergies. Overall, I find that IS3's tough run ending stages are more than balanced out by the far greater agency IS3 gives you compared to IS2 in developing your collectible synergies. (and besides, those tough run ender stages aren't so bad when you get a feel for them. Unless you're going for Ishar'mla, rejections are also largely a nonissue so long as you avoid leaks or only burn objective shield. Even on high waves where you start at 70 light, I rarely end up getting a run killed by a rejection. If it's someone important hit, I reroll it, or utilize the emergency dispatch node. There's other nodes as well that can cure rejections. Always grab random reserve ops and never skip recruitments, they'll soak up rejections. Most rejections are barely an issue anyway, it's just the stat halving one that sucks).
IS3 is too hard, minimizing the freedom IS2 had to let you use non-meta characters Frankly I don't really understand this one. IS2 is far more strict with stages that require certain operators. Wandering medics are far more important to IS2 than IS3, as Nervous Impairment is generally a much more strategy-disrupting status effect than Corrosion. Stages like Justice are functionally an instant run ender without investing in a fast-starting DP generating strategy (cough, flagpipe). Drone heavy stages are more common in earlier floors, and IS2 has poison mist stages where IS3 doesn't have any, both serving as squad checks more than skill checks in the majority of circumstances. Difficulty wise, yes, IS3 does generally have harder enemies. But the mere presence of enemies with more stats, more mechanics, or both, does not require you to break out the meta operators. Texas alter is great for stunning drifting sea skimmers, but you know who else is? May, a 4 star. Kroos alter, given out for free. Regular Texas, free from pinboard missions. Aak with his talent. Ambriel, Beeswax, Click, Cliffheart who came free with your fucking xbox, Flametail, Mostima, Skyfire. The list goes on. Can't keep up with a retching broodmother killing your melee units and wasting your block? Have them attack a defensive recovery operator, they charge defensive skills real fast. Take them out with ranged units before you place melee units down, works great for maps like Omen. And as mentioned above, it's way easier to reliably get a good collectible setup without rng farming in IS3 than it is in IS2 due to having more agency in what collectibles you get.
Other Those are the main arguments I remember seeing, but I'm sure to have missed or forgotten others. Also, what perspective are people approaching this from relative to the rest of the game? Are the people complaining about Sanguinarch's Legacy in the same breath as Territorial Tendencies just people who haven't gotten to ep10 yet?
Feel free to correct me, clarify, or dispute anything said here.

You're mad at me because I have power, status & respect, I'm content with who I am, & how I am. No, I do not feel any remorse for those I have killed except for...them, & I am rather intelligent thank you. I have to be smart, in order to take on certain individuals.
So no, I will be having a good day & I will be enjoying my life. You can go cry about it now.

Was sketching these boys when they inspired that bit of a fic drabble the other day.
Powerglide pulled some strings with his status and Autobot credentials to sneak a copy of his (ex-Decepticon,now neutral) husband's thesis to the head of the Autobots' science guild. He hopes this will help Skyfire feel better about his work and himself, and maybe get him out and socializing more with other Cybertronians.

G1 jettwins, but skyfire was already pregnant when he was frozen
Needless to say, the Decepticons were shocked when they went to analyze his status and found the two sparks
Which in turn survived due to the temperature emanated by the two creating an "ideal environment" while their mother was "hibernating"
Ooooh, that. That's gonna severely complicate things, especially if Skyfire ever tries to run off to the autobots. Starscream's extremely protective and keeps him safely in the base pretty much 24/7. We've talked about some skystar bitties being born on earth before, but never him being sparked at the time of the crash. It's a miracle that the two sparklings survived the impromptu cryostasis, honestly.
Skyfire is shocked to discover them, or maybe was planning to surprise Starscream with the news when they returned home to Cybertron. Regardless, he's so grateful that they're safe and is so glad to see their sire alive and well. Falling out of the sky is the last thing he remembers, and he'd felt such choking fear not only for himself, but for his partner as well.
The war has been long and brutal and he's missed all of it, but he's spared the battlefield because of the sparklings. Cybertronians are an endangered species, after all: even Lord Megatron at his worst and cruelest wouldn't throw an expectant mech onto a battlefield. The armada Starscream leads can always use another pair of wings, let alone two, and their arrival has sparked a new wave of dedication and ferocity in the seekers. His presence is clearly a positive thing and Megatron has no qualms about letting him stay. Besides, with Starscream now preoccupied looking after his pregnant mate, there's less assassination attempts to deal with. Everybody wins, honestly
The seekers all adore Skyfire and are so excited for the bitties, always bringing him energon and little gifts. At Starscream's request they don't discuss the war with him, but Sky can tell that something is wrong. He's horrified when he learns the truth, that Cybertron is gone, that Vos and Kalis alike are gone. That... That there's no home for them to return to, and they're on a hostile alien planet with the ones responsible for destroying their sky cities still gunning for their helms. Starscream promises to protect him but Skyfire is so distressed there's worry he'll accidentally trigger an early emergence. He freaks out terribly the first time Star has to go to a confrontation with the bots and practically begs him to stay with him. He can't grant that request, unfortunately, and Skyfire paces anxiously the entire time he's away, poor thing
