it’s the way there were overhead auroras in my literal backyard last night but my mom didn’t wake me up because i said no to her once about 3 months ago, but even though the solar storms are continuing tonight i can’t see anything because of wildfire smoke… i am so devastated

#ive wanted to see overhead auroras for years #its on the top of my bucket list #and they were in my backyard #im so sad #that’s literally never going to happen again like it did last night #sky events are so impactful to me… like I take pictures of every single sunset/rise #and my camera roll is filled with pictures of the sky #this would’ve been such a surreal experience but i missed it #all i can see tonight is an orange crescent moon amidst the smoke #it smells like a campfire cookout outside and it’s disgusting #the air quality index has been at an 11 the entire day it hurts my eyes when i go outside #i hate it here #rant
