10/21. [📸] I’MMA ROCK OUT WITH MY — DRUMS OUT. I’ve got a derp face here cos on the other shots, I look angry so let’s stick with the soft, friendly one instead. Had some amazing lunch with Justyn here before going on a TMZ Tour which bored me to death and I literally fell asleep along the way. I enjoyed window shopping around the area, though. And, I needed my dose of Hollywood where I saw the ever-so-famous sign from a distance but not too close. Los Angeles is my favorite US city but during this trip, it felt a bit loud and crowded for me. 10/13. [📸] SANTA CRUZ BEACH. Strolled around with Mother Earth and devoured some Watermelon Churros at the boardwalk. It just tasted like sour sugar with a hint of watermelon if y’all are wondering. I would have gotten on all the rides but momma gets tired easily and we had to rush home so we don’t stay out too late. I just forced her to go on two haunted attractions — she really said no to both but I was persistent and we screamed a bit here and there and that was hilarious and fun. BURNT AF. This trip has been filled with days under the sun. Today, I took mom and I to the Beach Boardwalk of Santa Cruz cos I’ve never been there. It’s like the Santa Monica of the North. It has an amusement park overlooking the beach with arcade games and food all over the place. It was a great day to stroll and see the sights and sceneries. DIRTY BOY. Ano na namang nakita mo, beshy? Naglalaway ka na naman jarn. Ah, mga restaurants. Maganda na yung klaro tayo. Nakakagutom naman talaga maglalakad everywhere here, daming sarap kainin. Nothing new that I haven’t yet seen in the past but it’s nice to come back every now and then. “I JUST WANT TO MAKE YOU HAPPY.” Totally cried in secret when it dawned on me what I’ve been going through these past few weeks and mom eventually asked the right questions. This wasn’t an emotional purchase or anything, though. She and Tito Marcel picked me up at the airport after coming back from my trip to Los Angeles. They eventually took me to a FoodMaxx where mom just told me to get whatever I wanted but I was so tired to decide to get anything that I just ended up with cereal; and salsa + chips. We were looking for tomatoes so she could cook sinigang but oddly enough, they were out. They then took me to a Jollibee where I got some two-piece bomb ass chicken joy with spaghetti (that was meh) along with some ube + peach mango pies. I eventually drowned the ube pie with some ube ice cream and that was delish. We then headed to get a pair of casual shoes and mom got me some chic black stunners from Calvin Klein, then we went to Cheesecake Factory for some scrumptious avocado rolls and decided to check out a Macbook at a nearby Apple Store. I asked around thoroughly what I was looking for and was helped out with flying colors by the cutest Apple store staffers but they had such a robotic, monotone look to them. I was looking to purchase one for myself and told my mom I’d just pay her monthly but she just got me that Macbook Pro like nobody’s business and just said, “I just want to make you happy.” So, I hugged and kissed her severely at the Apple store and eventually fell asleep without even opening it when we got home. I’ve been meaning to get a laptop for years now but when the time is right, it just happens, I guess. Thanks be to God always for good thangs that are happening in our lives right now. JUNE 15, OPENING DAY: NO MORE MASKS. I’m a big fan of the masks cos I really felt protected during this whole pandemic going crazy and I’ve been wearing them prior to the virus going berserk cos I just got surgery then, after such came the whole volcano eruption thang. I’ve gotten colds and coughs since it all began and I feel like I’ve been able to not spread it around my family, friends and co-workers cos of the mask with the addition of the drinking of vitamins; and getting lots of rest. We’ve also been blessed to have taken all sorts of COVID-19 rapid tests (oral, nasal, blood stuff) and it all came back negative so we are thankful for that. Today, California has started to finally allow people to not wear masks. There are still rules to follow for certain establishments and areas cos there are still people who haven’t been vaccinated just yet. But it’s definitely a step towards normalcy. But I will definitely keep them on for a little while cos I don’t want to be too complacent. THREE HOURS | BEFORE AND AFTER. I’ve been craving to go on the newly re-themed Jurassic ride that completely transformed from Jurassic Park to Jurassic World. It’s insanely better in real life than in videos that I’ve seen on YouTube but it is such a good ride with lots of action going on as opposed to what it was during the soft opening. It was just sad that it took us three hours before we eventually got on this quick ride. It was definitely worth it but I won’t be lining up three hours again just to get on it but would like to definitely see it another time, for sure. We all loved it and seeing the different theme was just super cool. I screamed tons with all the dinosaurs coming out from random parts of the ride.
