Turtles of the Midnight Moon

middle grade

a girl who lives in a coastal village in Honduras and is devoted to helping the nesting leatherback turtles

and a girl who dreams to be a nature photographer visiting with her father to see his homeland for the first time

they clash initially, but when poachers start stealing eggs they have to work together to find the culprits, despite being warned to stay away & safe by their parents
