in terms of shipping? gotta be honest, i had no idea people shipped Hela with Thena (and i didn't know Thena's name until i just looked at the comments). WandaNat isn't something i've dabbled in, probably because i got fascinated with BlackHill. For Peggy, I prefer Nat or Angie, since I bounced on Agent Carter after s1, p much. I never met Dottie, although Bridget Regan is, ofc, an icon. I like Valkyrie and Carol separately, and I think they have ship potential, but my gosh... MARIA. forever so sad she and Carol never got to grow old together 😭 Obviously i love Yelena and Kate together, and i enjoyed skimmons a ton when i watched the first season of Agents of Shield.

FLAWLESS.

DAISY was fidgeting with the light blue blanket that laid on the hospital bed she sat upon — yoyo’s bed. she sat crossed-legged on the uncomfortable mattress as the voices of her teammates — may, yoyo and piper — were drowned out by her intrusive thoughts.

she hadn’t expected herself to be this anxious, this affected by it. all she could think about is her. daisy tried her hardest to focus on may’s story about this one mission they went on three years ago, but she kept drifting away in her thoughts. thoughts about her.

“wait, i could swear that happened to us too!” piper exclaimed, as she recollected the event. “oh, god. davis could barely stand up after that yellow alien lady pinned him down. right, daisy?” she turned to her, chuckling. “daisy?” she called after the said girl didn’t respond.

daisy jumped at the louder mention of her name. she looked up to see the three women staring at her questioningly. “i.. i’m— yeah,” she forced a breathy chuckle. “yeah that— that was.. that was really funny.” she nodded quickly.

yoyo frowned, concerned about daisy. “you okay?” she leaned in from her position across her and asked quietly. after an unconvincing nod and a supposed-to-be reassuring smile from her friend in question, she turned to may and piper and immediately changed topics. daisy took a quick, deep breath to stabilise her breathing before subconsciously going back to fidgeting with the piece of cloth.

it wasn’t long until the sound of a door opening was heard, making the four agents look up. stepping out of it was jemma. she wore a beautiful, white, lacy dress — her wedding gown. she clutched at it’s skirt as she walked further into the room, nervously smiling at her friends’ speechlessnesses. “so?”

“simmons, you look gorgeous!” yoyo exclaimed, her bright smile turning into a adoring pout. she sat up from her lazy position, taking in the look. “you really do, simmons.” may and piper agreed with the speedster as the trio showered more compliments onto the bride-to-be.

jemma turned to daisy, not having heard her say anything. she was unusually silent, her mouth slightly agape, as she looked jemma up and down. “daisy?” jemma called softly, “what do you think?” she asked, anxious, as she waited for the inhuman to reply.

daisy blinked, shaking herself out of her thoughts as she tried to form a sentence that would make sense. she gulped, taking one last look at jemma’s dress.

“you.. you look beautiful, jemma.” daisy nodded at the fellow brunette, “you really do. fitz is a very lucky guy.” she sniffed, forcing a smile.

the scientist swore her best friend’s voice cracked with emotion — an emotion she couldn’t make out. regardless, she smiled wider and her face flushed red at the compliment as she thanked daisy in return.

“i wish i could be there.” yoyo interrupted the pair with a pout, making them break eye contact. daisy gulped and blinked the tears that welled up in her eyes away as soon as jemma’s eyes were off her.

daisy wished that she had made her feelings for jemma clear, back then itself. she just got so wrapped up in work when coulson asked her to lead the secret warriors. she thought her feelings for jemma were made clear, but she was proved wrong when she walked in on fitz and the girl she loved sharing an intimate moment. she was too late. it seems to be the running theme in my life, daisy thought.

jemma wished daisy knew that she waited. god, she waited. for daisy, for it to work out between them. but fitz was just... there. he was for her when daisy couldn’t be. jemma didn’t blame the girl for putting her responsibilities as a leader first. she admired her for it. she loved her, always had and always will.

daisy only mentally cussed herself out. she was handed a bouquet by may, one she had to hold for jemma as she watched her, the love of her life slide a wedding ring onto her friend’s finger.
