You know that jokey saying 'I'd forget my own head if it wasn't fixed on'? What if TV Matriarch likes to say that while detaching their head and pretending to walk away and leave it behind? And they think that's hilarious, and everyone else has to pretend they're not absolutely sick of that joke, because they're the Matriarch?

Titan TV is the only one who finds it as funny as the Matriarch does, and was delighted when they got their head-rockets installed mainly because it meant they could do the joke themself. Until one day TTv actually does leave one of their shoulder screens behind somewhere and has to go back to get it, much to their mechanics' annoyance.

I liked your spoon-knife matriarch post. You got any more HCs for them interacting? Cam-matriarch really deserves some more love, if you are looking for an excuse to write about them. If not, have a good one, no need to respond!

I've been sitting on this ask since mid-December, because I didn't have anything in particular to add but I didn't want to just delete it, because it's a good question!

I did notice that in episode 70 part 3, TV Matriarch seemed sadder than I expected at the sight of Assassin Speaker dying. Maybe the TV and Speaker Matriarchs are closer than we realised? TV Matriarch seemed deeply concerned for Camera Matriarch too. I think the 3 of them have a close relationship and care about each other a lot.

On a happier note, I think they probably bond over what hardware they have in common. TV Matriarch presumably does have speakers, although not as mighty as Speaker Matriarch's.

Couple of semi-silly TV Matriarch headcanons

They can and do speak, we just never hear them in episodes because their voice is too deep for cameras to pick up! TVs have low hearing/voices in general; the Matriarch speaks in a voice that only TVs and elephants can hear.

TVs are taller than the other 2 factions. If the Matriarch has to ride along in another faction's vehicle and the headroom is a bit lacking, they will detach their head and put it on their lap.

Speaker Matriarch tries to bond with TV Matriarch over their shared appreciation of knives (TVs have knife-hands, speakers use throwing knives) by doing the 'knifey-spoony' joke* from the Simpsons.

Unfortunately, TV Matriarch doesn't realise it's meant to be a joke, and thinks Speaker Matriarch has just lost the plot and tries to make them go to the repair bay.

* In case you haven't seen it nor absorbed it from cultural diffusion:

The reader (human, no gender specified) gets to watch Titan TV's upgrade installation + testing (at some point before the events of episode 67), and hang out with a few TV-units they've not met before. Rated Teen for plenty of swearing. Remember, kids: it is big, it is clever and it is funny.

Someone on Tumblr mentioned after episode 67 that they hoped the human in my stories got to see off Titan TV before they went out to battle. I thought 'shit, so do I! Fic time!'
