You were looking for James only to hear him scream in pain in the distance. You go to investigate the source, ready to kick some monster ass, but you come across a horrifying sight...

You see James kneeling on the floor, writhing in pain as his body swells and his spine cracks. His clothing tightens as his body increases in muscle and stature.

His cries for help are deepening into animalistic growls. His clothing finally couldn't take it anymore. They were soon reduced to nothing but shreds.

As James started to slip away, his eyes darkened and dilated. His hair lengthens to his shoulders.

As he smiled unnaturally wide, James was no more.

Only Pyramid Head remains...

The brute stood up and tore off whatever was left of James's shirt. He found an old worn-out apron and simply tied it around his waist. On the table nearby, he found some old work gloves and immediately put them on.

Now where was his helmet? Oh there it is! It spontaneously appeared right next to him. He lifts the heavy helmet with his strong arms and places it on his head.

Now all he needs is one more thing, his Great Knife. He punches a hole in the floor and reaches for his trusty blade, slowly pulls it out, and it lands with a loud slam, digging into the floor.

Pyramid Head finally feels complete.

Your heart sank as you saw the man you love slowly and painfully turn into the most feared monster of all Silent Hill. You had no choice but to run.

You ran out of there as fast as you could. You then heard a loud scraping noise in the distance. It seems that he finally saw you. You continued to run. You hid behind a corner. Oh good, you finally lost him... You started to look for a place to hide from him. Along the way, you found a safehouse. You quickly went inside and locked the door.

You let out a sigh of relief and you thought “Finally, I can rest…” until you once again heard the scraping noise of a familiar foe…

Vaderkin Creative Exchange 2024!

Hello and welcome! This is a gift exchange in four steps, organised by the Vaderkin Community (Vaderkin is a lightning rod discord) around Anakin | Vader's character, to increase interactions between writers and artists and give everyone some time to shine!

✒️ Step 1: Writers write prompts for artists, everyone get matched depending on sign up answers.

🎨 Step 2: Artists have one month to draw one or more works from the prompts they received.

✒️ Step 3: Arts reveal. Writers get assigned one or several art pieces and have two months to write a minimum 500 words story inspired from them.

🎨 Step 4: Fics reveal. Drawing festival, every artist can draw fanart over the new stories created from the event (and be reblogged by this tumblr for it).

Overall, it’s a typical gift exchange, only writers prompts will be in image rather than words, and everyone is strongly encouraged to have fun and try their hand at sketching during the ’drawing festival’.

RULES

- This is an Anakin Skywalker | Darth Vader exchange. This character needs to be one of the main characters, or at least have a very strong presence in the artwork/story. Crossovers are accepted.

- Respect your Giftee's Do Not Want (DNW)

- Do not reveal who your Giftee is before the reveal date (June 4th for artists, August 4th for writers). If you have a question, ask as anon through the Giftee's Tumblr or ask one of the event mods (we will serve as intermediary).

- Do not repost your gift content (especially art!) Mind your giftee’s extra request for AI-scraping protection if there is any. If you can, use the ao3 gift function to link to their profile. Otherwise, mention in your work post that this is a gift, with a mention of your giftee username and a link towards their tumblr/ao3/otherwise page, if they gave one.

- Do not use AI to produce your gift, be it to produce the prompts or to produce your art / written work.

- Avoid character bashing, kinkshaming, and ship wars. If one fits in your DNW (ex: You absolutely do not want Obikin content), mention it politely. This is an event for everyone to have fun! The fandom is wide, and there is space for everyone.

If any of the above rules is not respected, mods reserve the right to ban you from this and any future Vaderkin Community events.

FAQ

Can I draw a comic? Yes, a comic panel will be counted as an art piece.

Can I write a multi chapter story? Sure! Feel free to! But your first chapter must be able to pass as a one shot, and be finished by the writing deadline.

I missed the sign up deadline (27th April), can I still join? No, but you can still join during the Drawing Festival! The final event is open to everyone.

I only joined as an artist/writer but also wanted to participate as the other one. Same answer. The sign up closes in order for us to properly match everyone. But don’t hesitate to join and give gifts for the Drawing Festival!

Someone else also have the same writing prompt/art prompt/giftee as me, is this normal? Yes, this is how we balance the number difference between writers and artists. Prompt interpretation varies from person to person!

Can I do several art/fic works? Sure! In the case of art pieces, it will allow the writer to choose from which picture to draw inspiration from, like receiving several prompts, so several art pieces is highly encouraged!

I cannot finish my work in time, what do I do? Contact us ASAP and tell us your estimated delay. If you are an artist, keep in mind that your gifter cannot begin their writing work before your art piece is published.

I do not wish to participate anymore, what do I do? Contact us ASAP. Please try not to drop out right before the deadline, as we may have to create a work to replace yours.

oh gosh honestly I crack myself up pretty easily with my writing but I think rn the huaqing gay chicken introduction is my current favorite

Crimson Rain’s been torturing him for centuries!” “Well,” Xie Lian starts placidly, setting his tea down, “sometimes when two people—“ “Sometimes more.” “Sometimes more,” he amends with a conceding nod to Yushi Huang, “feel certain feelings toward each other, they are moved to express them…ah, physically.” Feng Xin stares at him blankly a moment, and Xie Lian bites back the twin urges to wince and to laugh. “Intimately,” Yushi Huang adds, and Pei Ming chokes. ✨ 12 things I learned about Inktober ✨

Ok. I know, Inktober is already ended, and you'll be bored reading this post because it's way too long. I totally get it. But I really appreciate it if you read this whole thing. I worked so damn hard to make this thing. And a little disclaimer, this is just based on my personal experience.

Inktober is all about ink, literally. It's a 31-day drawing challenge, where you have to draw with ink for 31 days every October. Besides ink, you can work with other mediums and colors too, apart from black and white. Also, you can make inktober digitally, like some artists do. There are no rules for participating in Inktober, except sharing 31 artworks online.

I've been doing Inktober since 2019. It's my fourth time joining this art challenge, except in 2022. It was quite difficult to start without planning or any knowledge of using ink at all. I wasn't used to drawing with pens until I started to do more studies and sketches using them. It's better to look at more artwork from other artists for inspiration, as well as to get ideas and use them as references. I wouldn't say "copy" it. I'd been experiencing art blocks, burnouts, and stress. But in the end, it really paid off.

It's time to share my 12 things I learned about Inktober:

📝 Make a plan ahead

Make a plan at least a month in advance. This is life-changing, at least for me. I write down all my plans in my notebook, such as goals, preparations, art materials to use, etc. I wish I knew it sooner when I started Inktober four years ago 🥲.

✒️ Practice inking

An ordinary writing pen will do if I don't have any drawing pens or ink to use for practice. It's quite hard using it at first because I can't erase it if I made mistakes. I tried to get used to drawing with pens. Also I started to practice strokes and hatchings, as well as sketching directly on a sketchbook.

🖥️ Gather references from the internet

Google Images and Pinterest are two of the best sites to find references. Some people are encouraging artists to NOT use references, which is WRONG. Do not listen to these dorks. It literally helps to sketch out ideas. You can make your own references, too.

🖼️ Get inspirations from other artist

To get me inspired, I take a look at the best artworks made by incredible artists. I saved them for later and took them as inspiration.

💡 Sketch out ideas and make thumbnails

This is essential! Before doing ink drawings, I first sketch out ideas gathered from references as many as I could. Thumbnail sketching is a great tool too. It's where I plan out my composition before making the final artwork. I can't explain it enough. My brain has reached its limits.. lels..

🧪 Experiment with other mediums

Apart from ink, since I don't have enough ink and pens I could use for Inktober, I tried to play with other mediums, like watercolor, colored pens, poster paints, etc. Just keep experimenting and having fun with them.

⚠️ Take risks

One of my favorite things to do is to push myself to take risks. Don't play safe. I tried to step out of my comfort zone and draw something that I hadn't drawn before or use mediums that I hadn't used before.

One example here is ink washes on my sketchbook, which is supposed for dry media only because the paper is thin. I took my risk to do ink washes. I put a lot of water in it and layered it up multiple times. It turned out great. I was expecting that the paper would be ripped off, but it didn't, "almost".

🖌️ Let it go from mistakes. These are "happy little accidents"

Does this quote above ring a bell? If you know, you know. Every time I do art, I don't expect "perfection". Almost of my artworks are filled with imperfections. If I make mistakes with my artwork, I'll just leave it there. I'd set my expections down all the way to the void. Who needs to make art "perfect"? Mistakes aren't as bad as they sound.

🛌 Take breaks if I need to (LITERALLY I NEED IT!!)

While doing inktober, I'd been encountering burnouts, art blocks, and stress. I'd been doing these "repetitive" tasks everyday. When I feel grumpy, I take a break for an hour or more. Sometimes, I take a nap, or do things other than art. And then I proceed to do it right after breaks.

💯 Ignore algorithms and engagements

I have high hopes that my artworks will get noticed. Always. This is the most challenging one if you're trying to grow your social media accounts, especially if you have a small number of followers (less than 1,000). Since algorithms are changing anytime, especially on Instagram, chances are not getting more reach. I found this way more annoying; no matter how hard I tried to get more attention in my art, it always ended up reaching fewer people.

I'd been uploading my inktober drawing process videos for 31 consecutive days on Instagram and TikTok. They said, post more reels to reach more accounts than just posting a photo or carousels, as well as using "trending" audios. I'd been filming the process, editing, and uploading it to my social media every day for 31 days. 31. FREAKIN'. DAYS. And it's always never been easy. Ever! THIS IS BULLSHIT! INDEED!

On the bright side, despite my issues on growth, someone is still barely seeing and interacting with my art, which I'm really grateful for. Somehow, I've been getting some likes, comments, shares and follows. I guess that's how social media works. It only sees specific people, and that's okay. It would take ages to grow my accounts.

👩‍🎨 Interact with other artists

There are so many incredible artists everywhere on social media. So, I tried my best to interact with other artists -- just give a like to their art, comment (I'm getting used to it), share and follow.

The importantest shit of all is to have fun. Inktober is an art challenge, not a contest. This is why you shouldn't take this seriously. Forget all the doubts in our minds. Just to have fun. That's it. Finished your Inktober? Don't forget to treat yourself.

So, yeah. If you reached down all the way to the void, thanks for reading this. I've never writing this stuff before, and it's freakin' hard as hell, not to mention having a mental block. it took over a week to come up with these words, but I made it to the end 🥹.

Oh So Torn - [Itachi x Female Reader]

You knew the head of the Uchiha was intimidating. Even just being in the same room as him at clan meetings felt suffocating enough, but having him sit across from you, staring at you, feeling like he was staring through you, measuring you up and as much as you wanted to crumble, you sat tall you would show him you were someone worthy of his son’s affections.

“So we would like to extend to you an offer to join our clan,” when your father politely asked him to clarify, he continued, “by our heir’s marrying.”

Your breath caught in your throat in excitement and disbelief. Was this happening? Was everything you ever wanted right around the corner?

“Your lovely daughter.”

You could see it now your father giving you away, finally being able to tell the world how much you cared for each other, Itachi looking divine in his royal wedding robes-

“To our Sasuke.”

Itachi was as confused as you, but like the elite shinobi he was, he hid it better than you; if anyone bothered to look your way, you imagined they would see how hard you were breathing, how panicked you looked, could see your dreams that had so quickly formed in your eyes shattering.

“Sasuke?”

Fugaku looked right at you at your broken mention of your offered betrothed, his gaze somehow victorious.

“He is closer to your age than Itachi. So it makes sense, doesn’t it?”

That was technically true, but Sasuke was two years younger than you.

You stared at the side of your father’s face with a desperate intensity when the Uchiha head looked at him, expecting an answer. He didn’t know how you felt, how deeply in love with Itachi you were, how long you had adored him and worse of all, an offer like this made so much political sense with how small and uninfluential your clan was. Marrying into a family such as the Uchihas was like being handed the keys to Konohagakure, no questions asked. As a clan head, he had no reason to say no but more than he could count to say yes.

“We are honoured, Fugaku! We humbly accept your offer!”

How thrilled your father sounded only made him placing the final stamp on your broken dreams worse.

mlp s/i ideas - i might not be able to draw my beloved ponies and pony ocs at the moment but i may as well jot down my rough ideas!

Mane 6; Inked Jester ✒️🎪 / Earth Pony. Worked as a carnie and with the Flim Flam brothers, no less. He also wrote some books on the side; these three things help connect this s/i to Rarity and Applejack. Jester meets the 6 while working at the carnival, and their introduction episode’s main plot would be conflict between Flim, Flam, and AJ, with a side mention that Rarity recognizes Jester’s writing at some point and tells him how much she loves his books. Applejack convinces Jester to stay in Ponyville and quit working with Flim & Flam, and Jester agrees, moving in with Rarity for the time being. Has a lot of hidden past that would be slowly drawn out by his new companions over episodes.

BG 6; Sketch 🦇📓 / Bat Pony, daywalker. This one’s more just me but horse! Derpy and them are foalhood friends and roommates, and then Time-Turner is their upstairs neighbor as they live in a duplex!
