Do you use references for the martial arts poses that you draw Maul and his padawans in? If so, how do you search for them? I absolutely adore how you draw and the weight and movement you bring to the characters. I'm in love.

Hello there, I absolutely do use references! All of those poses you see are from wushu. The best you can go look for these references is check out Wushu SEA Games, Taolu World Cup or World Wushu Championships videos on Youtube. Take some screenshots, or doodling pose as you watch however you like. My method is watching a ship load of these vids, study and observed the movement, fabrics behavior, etc...to get the vibe flowing.

Daoshu – a form of Wushu where the participant uses a sword as the main element of the routine (x)

Gunshu  – where the participant uses a staff as the main element of the routine (x)

Wing Chun  – self-defense, that requires quick arm movements and strong legs to defeat opponents (x)
