Ramble about Mr Pointy before I go to sleep:

Spinal Tap is not exactly a pacifist and is perfectly capable of fighting, but he is not one to run out and pick a fight compared to the more offense-focused members like Skeletor and Trap Jaw.

Spinal Tap is focused on providing a supportive role to the team, healing anyone injured and retrieving anyone who's been downed. He will not actively put himself within a fight unless he is directly targeted, or has no other option than to.

In terms of fighting, Spinal Tap is more of a melee fighter. After all, he is a 7+ft tall, muscular thornimp- with a heavy, reinforced bionic syringe tail. He is significantly less experienced in fighting than the other Evil Warriors, but that isn't his specialty or his focus if he's ever actually in a fight. His main focus against an enemy is non-lethally subduing them, and doing so quickly and with as minimal damage as possible.

Spinal Tap's tail is his primary weapon, but he is equipped with tranquilizer darts, which can be thrown/injected by hand. But he will also probably try to knock you out with a quick slam of his tail. He is also pretty decent with swords (his father was once a skelcon/coreternian knight), but will probably be hesitant to use any short blades on others due to his personal history. He will completely refuse to use anything he considers 'technology', and will use a laser-gun as a blunt weapon instead of actually firing it.

In the any case, Spinal Tap's going to heal anyone subdued with what Skeletor refers to as a 'sympathy jab' of his syringe tail. His mindset of 'subdue only' also extends to the rest of the Evil Warriors, and he will step in to prevent anyone from inflicting mortal injuries. Even if he has to physically put himself in harms way to do so. He is the chosen one to the god of life/healing, after all.

The Garius Asteroid Belt on Horde Empire map is what is left of the destroyed original Gar homeworld. While Infinita is a bit far away from it and Eternia too. But yeah Trap-Jaw came from Infinita. Didn't know about the Skelcons though very interesting.

Yeah so basically Marlena accidentally did a Death Star & the survivors were sent back in time to Preternia by like, idk, temporal ripples or some shit. TG said the planet was also named Garius, but then he did claim Trap-Jaw was a Gar in the same vid…

I think the Skelcon bio was a Masters Monday exclusive, iirc they didn’t have time/space to release it on the packaging so they uploaded it afterward. Lot of fun stuff in that thread… would love to regain access to it at Some Point

I like Skeletor’s multi-species army from the 80s Ladybird books.

The animal-skulled guy immediately to his left, a Skelcon, made their way into Masters of the Universe Classics and Revelation. The goblin/orc, while not used anywhere else, has equivalents in other continuities.

The brown canids... I love them and they’ve only ever appeared here.

How does thornimp daycare feel when The Lord of Destruction appears with child?

Well in Coreternia he's not the Lord of Destruction. He's Keldor (just Keldor), the surfacer who helped the Panacean free the Coreternians (and some important spoilery stuff), and is the Panacean's husband too.

Malkyn's not put into daycare because he's like, the Panacean and Skeletor's child. Both normal daycare places on the surface and in Core are not an option. So his 'daycare' options are either:

In the care of the Evil Warriors and the assigned Skelcon (L'ashor, Spinal Tap's cousin. Yes that Lashor, Tung Lashor the snakeman) on Snake Mountain.

With Spinal Tap's parents in Castle Core's family estate.

They don't put Malkyn in daycare but they bring him to like, baby classes a few times when he was newly hatched. Everyone did roll out the red carpet for them both due to their status, and it was offputting so they stopped going. Thankfully they have Spinal Tap's parents to go to for advice, and Spinal Tap has like 3 dozen relatives with nestlings so he can just plan playdates with if needed.

13) What color do they think they look best in? Do they actually look best in that color?

Spinal Tap thinks he looks the best in red. It's mostly a spiritual thing, since red = Starseed. Personally, I think he looks good in red!

27) What causes them to feel dread? 

He's afraid of 'technologically advanced' vehicles. So, the fast ships and tanks and what not that is 99% of the Evil Warrior's transportation. So there's that. But also, the color green. Specifically, the bright lime-ish green that's associated the Hordak and the Horokoth/Horde. It's not a unique thing to dread, a good factor of Eternia feels the same way. That shade of green is so dreaded that it lead to magic users no longer using green at all as a magic color, and you can't find a bolt of fabric in 'Horde Green'. Seeing it makes him and his people feel dread, the color of forced assimilation and exile.

36) Do they actively seek romance, or do they wait for it to fall into their lap? 

Spinal Tap believes in fate. He's a sappy romantic who's view of love may be molded a bit out of the paperback romance novels he always reads. He truly believes in having a sexy knight in shining armor wizard in brilliant robes, the one, whisking his princely self away to a new life of exciting adventures and passionate love-making. In reality though, he's a bit shy. He wasn't allowed to form friendships or attempt at courting for most of his adult life. So he 1) Formed the view of romance as what you see above: sexy and forbidden. 2) Is very sheepish about attempting a courtship because he has poor social skills. He does break out of his shell when he meets Skeletor though, since Skeletor is very much his type. And very much fulfilling Spinal Tap's fantasy of exciting adventures with a sexy wizard. So, he does it the Spinal Tap way: He reads one or two dozens books about how surface romance works, then Skeletor ends up confessing before him anyway. So to answer your question after all those words: It fell into his lap.

B) What inspired you to create them?

I wanted to make a self insert to kiss Skeletor. But then, like every self insert, I got interested in telling a story so he turned into a fully fledged character (as well as kissing Skeletor). He got the benefit of a special interest to back so now you have Prima Materia. In terms of inspiration, he's inspired by a lot of concepts, but also on the Skelcons from the ladybird books. As well as the Philosopher's stone in alchemy.

Since Thornimps are based on the Skelcon from the ladybird stories (in appearance only), I thought I would give homage to the Thornimps' origin by naming Coreternian soldiers Ske'lcon. Lets make up Preternian words and say its a combinition of Ske'l [the bone plating on Thornimp faces] and Elcon [warrior], so they are "Bone faced warrior". Pronounced 'Skeel-Khan'.

Although they won't be wearing as silly outfits as the ladybird Skelcons do

What's Infinitia?

A typo on my part, I meant Infinita! In Michael Halperin’s lore it was the evil equivalent of Eternia, orbiting the same star on the distal Lagrange point. That was sort of adapted into the later notion of Eternia’s light and dark hemispheres, this idea of like. There are physical boundaries to good and evil and if you’re from the Evil Half or spend too long on the Evil Planet you’re just a bit of a wad.

The name was later used in MOTUC as a Dimension whence came the Skelcons, Trap-Jaw etc. I wanna say the Gar homeworld was there but I’m on my phone and can’t remember off the top of my head. Certainly there was an abundance of blue people

Prima Materia funfact:

Spinal Tap and the Thornimps are based off the Skelcons. Spinal Tap was originally to be a Skelcon but the Thornimps involved into their own thing. Thornimps usually have large angel wings, however Spinal Tap was born without a set.
