Thoughts on Skam🇫🇷; season 7, episode 6, clip 5:

BABY POV: I love that they started the clip with looking from Moïra’s point of view. It’s really creative + it emphasises that this season is not only about Tiff bonding with her daughter but also about Moïra bonding with her mum. 👩‍🍼

GENDER NEUTRAL BABY CLOTHES: I gotta say, I wasn’t a huge fan of this discussion. But they have a point: it was very pink. Personally, my baby clothes were all colors of the rainbow with really quirky prints of animals. But what I really liked about this segment is that it shows the dynamic between mummy and baby. Tiff hasn’t slept well so she’s uptight. And she feels threatened bc people criticise her choices. So the tone of her voice changes and it looks like Moïra can “feel” the tension in her voice...and starts crying. It might just be all in my head; but I do think this clip tried to demonstrate something more than just gender neutral baby clothing. 🤷‍♀️

POV CHANGE (ONCE AGAIN): Okay, Tiff was so clever! Obviously toilet visits are never really interesting. So this was an excellent moment to show us the conversation between Maya and Lola. About that conversation -> yes, after last week it makes total sense she got fired. Stealing from the job is already bad, but distributing alcohol to minors is just as bad. I hope she won’t have any problems from this incident in a future career. 😥

MAYLA MOVING IN: I gotta agree with Maya on this one. I don’t think it’s a very good idea for them to move in rn. Elu is kind of a unique situation. And compared to Lucas after s3, I don’t find Lola as mature. 😬 (Sure she went through a lot, but I just don’t have similar vibes that she would manage on her own. With adult stuff like bills/rent/municipality stuff/cooking & cleaning etc.)

THE END: NO TIFF, you’re not a bad mum. But you’re exhausted, insecure and really stressed rn. And your baby notices and feels less secure because of it. Seems like step 1 of bonding is going well; but happy mummy means happy baby! You need a break, meuf. 👀 And the boys were so enchanted with her! 🥰 She’ll definitely be a heartbreaker when she grows up!
