Cressworth in the Dorms

This is a modern au semi-inspired by my first semester at uni in America !!

Audrey lives on the first floor on the corner of the building, her room as two windows and a LOT of natural light

Ileana is a comm. major and Audrey’s randomly assigned roomate. She and papa and uncle Cresswell meet her when they’re moving AR in on the first week

Audrey Rose insists her bed be up realllly high, like a full on loft bed, she isn’t particularly tall and either has to leap onto her bed, or step on her chair for leverage

There’s a painted wooden “A” on the wall above Audrey’s bed, with a lot of little messages written by her friends and family from home

She has little star-shaped twinkle lights around her window and of course, the painting Thomas did for her of the orchid hung on her other wall

She and Ileana keep their room slightly messy, and homey, but their bathroom is immaculate, and somehow always smells like roses (it’s from the potpourri)

Thomas lives in a single on the fourth floor

His room is filled with blank canvases, acrylics, water colors, and clay. There is also a piano in the far corner

He has about a thousand books stacked on his book shelf

And tucked within them as bookmarks is every ticket stub, coffee cozy, and photo booth strip from his dates with Audrey Rose

His walls are sparsely decorated, but his desk is crammed with framed selfies of him and Audrey Rose

His room is filled with candles. Candles are absolutely not allowed in the dorms and yet Thomas is always burning at least four

Despite the fact that Thomas has a single room, they always wind up back in Audrey’s room when they’re studying or hanging out

Of course when they want to do anything else,,, they go back to thomas’ room

But Ileana loves Thomas, and the three of them have good times together

Everytime Thomas walks in with Audrey he gives Ileana a new nickname

He is literally always coming up with the most ridiculous names for her, and she loves it

Thomas leaves notes on Audrey’s door every morning without fail

Of course he always deny’s that it was him

They’re anonymous, but the handwriting had that telltale Cresswell tilt and the way he dots his i’s

At first Audrey doesn’t know what to do with them, and just begins to tape them up on her wall above her desk

By the end of first term the wall is covered in these notes

As much as she pretends not to care, everytime she catches those notes out of the corner of her eyes her heart flutters

Audrey and Il get fish they name Dracula and Houdini after their favorite historical icons

Thomas is infatuated with the fish and becomes an honorary parent to them, taking a turn feeding them and watching with unparalleled joy as they blow tiny bubbles in their tank

One weekend, Ileana goes out of town and Thomas and Audrey drink a little too much at a party. Audrey is sooooo excited that Thomas can finally sleep over with her

(She would never let him sleepover no matter how many times Il said she didn’t mind if he did)

“You don’t even know Thomas, the light in the morning from the double windows” she is giggling at every word, gripping his hands as she speaks in earnest

When they finally stumble into Audrey’s bedroom they are both laughing hysterically, but trying to keep quiet because the RA lives just down the hall

Audrey is too hammered to jump up into her bed and so Thomas tries to lift her up, but in their intoxicated state, the two of them can’t quite get it

In the end, they both end up collapsing on the floor, pulling the blankets down from bed

The next morning, the light from the double window wakes them up

Thomas has a headache and Audrey makes him tea because somehow, miraculously, she is completely fine

Even despite the headache, Thomas can’t stop himself from teasing her for being too short to get into bed

Eventually, they both crawl into bed in the loft, and spend the day cuddling in and out of sleep, watching The Office

When Il gets home that night she finds them both asleep in Audrey’s loft, she turns off the light before heading up to a friends room to study

I am loving this set of HC’s, they brought a little joy into my stressed out existence

Jealous Thomas fic or HCs?

Okay so, I don’t really see Thomas as the jealous type, he’s very understanding and rational about things, also he’s very much aware of how perfect him and Audrey Rose are for each other.

However.

There’s a period just after efh when they get back together where he is quite nervous and unlike himself.

He doesn’t really trust anyone around Audrey Rose and honestly, he’s scared she’ll find someone whos not as much as a mess as him, someone who doesn’t have to try so hard to fit into society.

So he watches her a lot with others and reminds/ makes people aware they are together every chance he gets.

“Oh here comes my darling future fiancee” He says gesturing to AR who’s stepping over a dead body and walking towards them.

“What do you think about this love of my life and soon to be wife?”

“This is spectacular colour Wadsworth, maybe we could find some flowers with a similar shade for our wedding” He’ll say looking at the dress of a victim. Audrey Rose shouts at him for being insensitive, but she agrees. It is a lovely shade of purple.

However, it’s not physical closeness or flirting that really effects him, it’s little tiny things.

Like Audrey Rose still writes to Noah at the Academy, and she devours his letters with a huge grin on her face or laughing at a joke, he watches her read and then write her response. Thomas envies how naturally she gets on with him after he had to spend weeks getting her to warm up to her.

Strangely Audrey Rose is the jealous one. Like one time they were at a party and another woman asked Thomas to dance, and being a gentleman he can’t not so he goes and Audrey watches with like crazy eyes. Her heart beat increasing with every word the pair speak.

Then like as soon as the dance is over she’ll drag him somewhere secluded and remind him he’s hers and only hers. It’s damn right scandalous and if they were caught polite society would be horrified.

But Thomas is hers, and she’s lost so much in her life and been through so much, they’ve been through so much together. She can’t help it. She needs him.

Their jealously tends to end tho when they get marriage because like its permanent now bitch they CAN’T get rid of eachother. Not that they’d even want too.

Admittedly I found this quite hard because I don’t see Thomas as the jealous type? But I think I’m quite happy these.

8 - if your computer had a virus that deleted all your fics but had just enough time to save one before they were wiped out, which fic would you pick and why?

oh god i think maybe 'forever is the sweetest con' or 'hold me like you used to (so tight i'd bruise you)' because i think they're my best works and i'm quite proud of them

12 - what headcanon will you keep implementing in your fics, even if canon ends up contradicting it?

i don't know if i have any headcanons for star wars yet? i'm still wildly new to it all and honestly don't know much

and there's no new canon for sjtr (cries) but before ctd came out and i was writing cressworth fics until they came out my ears, one headcanon i'm super attached to is the idea that thomas is demi-aroace. like it's sort of supported by canon (the v-day letter!!) but even if it was contradicted by ctd i'd still stick to it because it makes me happy

also for sjtr, all my convoluted emotional thoughts about jonathon wadsworth and the straight up fucking Tragedy of his story with emma (doing an autopsy??? on the woman he loved??? fuck???)

and for kotw!! i think my current headcanon that i'd lowkey weirdly attached to despite it causing endless pain for wrath is that he was in love with pride's first wife. at first it was because it was just super funny to imagine wrath's reaction to realising he's in love with emilia when she's married to pride be like 'are you fUCKING KIDDING ME??? A WITCH??? MY BROTHER??? AGAIN?!?!' but now i can't imagine anything without it

14 - what trope would you refuse to write even if you were paid to do it?

okay so my gut response was love triangle but there's lowkey (SORT OF) a love triangle in an original work of mine (she's married, he's the worst, it's a marriage of convenience, etc) but i would definitely never write the genuine 'oh i can't pick between two lovers whatever shall i do!' sort of love triangle because je suis Not a fan personally

but in totality i'd never write a friends with benefits fic (nothing against them, i'm just personally not a fan and also i'm so aroace it's not funny)

The Interrupted Series: One

This is a series of smutty drabbles that I’ve written about Dr. Jonathan Wadsworth and Miss Emma Elizabeth Smith, from the Stalking Jack the Ripper series. @city-of-fae got me hooked on them (THEY WERE IN LOVE AND THERE WERE OUTSIDE FORCES AT WORK IN THEIR SPLIT AND NO ONE WILL CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE - Alicia can confirm!) and we have a whole host of headcanons for them. One such headcanon is that they are the couple that gets interrupted during inappropriate times the most.

So, that being what it is, this little series was born. It’s in a modern setting, and it features them as college-age. Each installment will be short, probably a little sassy, and very smutty. So, Alicia, this one (and all the others) is for you!

Note: All of these were inspired by lines of dialogue given to me by Alicia, so she’s truly my inspiration for all the sassy comments made by those who interrupt them.

The island in the Wadsworth family kitchen was cold against her bare ass, but Emma couldn’t bring herself to care. She was sprawled on her back on the island, her legs wrapped around Jon’s head. Emma screamed at the feeling of his teeth scraping over her clit, the sound echoing around the room since her hand had fallen away at Amelia’s entrance.

i love it when people tell me i've got the characterisation down, or that something feels real enough to be canon. someone said on 'hold me like you used to' that i nailed the characterisation for anakin and obi-wan and how they show love and i was so emotional over it 🥺🥺

34 - Have you felt emotional while writing a scene before? What scene was it?

oh for sure! the entirety of 'i can go anywhere i want' made me so emotional for days. i was listening to 'never grow up' and 'best day' by taylor swift while thinking about that fic and lowkey teared up. smth about ahsoka and jagged pieces of her family just fucks me up

oh!! a lot of my later ones im most proud of, i feel like i have a much firmer grasp on what i want my writing to evoke, emotion wise? so i can go anywhere i want (anywhere i want, just not home) im really proud of!! and hold me like you used to (so tight i'd bruise you) as well im super proud of!!

for headcanons, hmmm. i don't know if i've ever properly talked about them on tumblr but demi-aroace thomas from sjtr is a headcanon i adore. oh, i'm pretty proud of the ship name princewitch definitely my best contribution for kotw lmao
