Happy International Women’s Day everyone. I love seeing everyone’s post on this day of the year and it’s wonderful to celebrate amazing female authors. I was inspired by @bestbookforward to share my #sixliterarywomen or six authors I’d love to invite to a dinner party. I could have picked at least 25 😂 but I’ve gone with the ones that popped out at me today. Hanya Yanagihara - I feel like we could get into such a good discussion of A Little Life. I need to let her know how much it affected me! 😅 Kate Lister - I loved this nonfiction book SO much when I read it last year. I need to talk about it!! Juno Dawson - absolute queen. I’m reading this very soon and am really excited about it! Elinor Cleghorn - this book made myself and @emmasbookishcorner so mad when we read it together. In a good way! 😂 I’d love to get mad with Elinor too. Yaa Gyasi - such a beautiful and fascinating author. Both her novels so far have been so unique. I think she’s incredibly talented. Ayòbámi Adébáyò - her debut novel blew me away and broke my heart. I’m so excited to read her new book, A Spell Of Good Things 😍 I’d also like to give a heads up to all the incredible women I follow here. You’re all amazing and so inspiring! Happy International Women’s Day to you all. 🤗😘 #bookstagramuk #scottishbookstagrammer #bookstackoffavs #femaleauthorsrock #femaleauthorstack #hanyayanagihara #katelister #junodawson #elinorcleghorn #yaagyasi #ayòbámiadébáyò #femaleauthorsinfiction #femaleauthorsilove #internationalwomensday https://www.instagram.com/p/CpigL0Srw2I/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
