Now let’s be fr. I watched the 8th episode of Found and FINALLY saw a glimpse of the promise. This show has a delicious premise but it has not tried to capitalize on it at all. Y’all do not tune into this show for the missing person of the week. You come for the dynamic between Sir and Gabi. That’s the draw and this is the first time since it started that I got chills and felt like we were getting somewhere.

Now… the writing…🤦🏿‍♀️ I’m pretty good at following a story. Even though I feel like there’s a sexual undertone in Sir’s interest in Gabi, I’ve been leaning more toward “father figure” just to be pc, but what was that “tell me you love me” scene? Even though I know what I know, I follow y’all lead. What was that?

Last week must have been wild for me cuz I completely forgot to watch Found. Anyway I just watched the episode; all I can say is what the f***?? I can't describe what I just experienced here. It definitely feels like Sir does not see Gabi like his daughter anymore. They truly have this really really confusing behind chemistry going on.

You can't have lines like we belong together we're partners tell me you love me and still be like oh this is not sexual in the slightest. It sure as hell ain't platonic or familial either. But I can't even get mad because they were the whole reason I got into the show in the first place. It's just leaving me with a headache because of all the confusion. I wasn't expecting him to hate Lacey though.

Also are they trying to start something between Zeke and Lacey? I honestly wouldn't care either way but man it is going to be awkward in their office if any of them become involved. Though I do like that Lacey and Dhan both see Zeke's place as a safe space.

I didn't see the promo but apparently Lacey is going to confront Gabi and I need to see how this plays out. It's been a long time coming.

Are you watching Found? The dark romance girlies on social media are eating but I’m not really in that camp because the entire premise gives me the ick lol. But Shanola Hampton is beautiful and I’m gay so I continue to watch.

I am and have finished ALL of it. I get why the dark romance fans are into it. I will say that's its interesting to see a Black woman as the center of the of the show and the object of desire. There are moments when I don't get the hyper refined feeling I want from Sir/Mark, but overall the show is so good and Shanola does a great job!

I hope we really see more range from both of them. The mask she wears to work to hide not only the pain of her past but also her secret and, of course, more uptight rigid hyper elite yet puritanical feels from Mark!

I might rewatch it was so much fun!

At this point, I believe Gabi is an unreliable narrator. She lived the horror but because she was in it, she’s not a reliable source of what happened. Sir, is… he seems like all the things she says he is, but there’s so much that goes unsaid. And because this man spend months conditioning her, she can’t even decipher his lies from the truth. I don’t know what to make of it.
