Do you have an absolute favorite storyboard or concept art from either Sing movies?

I'm so sorry for the delay in response to this!! I love a ton of the concept art actually, so idk if I would be about to pick just one favourite piece, but I do have a favourite storyboard actually!

Here it is:

I absolutely love this one for numerous reasons:

One: Marcus. I adore his and Johnny's relationship and how it's shown here. I also love the aspects of his personality that we gets to see in this (him being punctual, polite, and overall really nice).

Two: Nooshy's essentially getting immediately adopted and becoming part of the family. Hugs = adoption in Sing and no one can change my mind so that was absolutely adorable.

Three: The fact that the gang got turned into Robin Hood in my eyes. Like, they stole from the rich... and are now giving to the poor... they're Robin Hood.

Four: REALISM. This version of them prepping for the show was a ton more realistic, especially after such a rough and public firing. It also reminded me of them setting up the show if Sing 1 which was nice.

Five: RYAN MY BOY! It was already heavily implied that Ryan and the other dancers snuck out to help with the show (hence Klaus not arriving with them and being surprised), but now him also swiping the staffs too?? Perfection. That boy just went “oh well, probably gonna get fired anyway, might as well help Johnny” and I love that for him and it shows so much of his personality. He is so sweet.

Six: More slang. As someone who also uses a ton of British slang in day to day life and calls my friends "love", hearing Marcus use more slang was adorable and super cool. It also means that Johnny probably talks with more slang than we see him do, at least with his family.

fionna and cake drawings before and after watching the episodes so far. it’s nostalgic and somehow cathartic and poignant and relatable and—it just started

#i’m part of the demographic where i was a kid when adventure time started and now watching fionna and cake as an adult makes me emotional #because did they keep us in mind when writing fionna and her attitude towards life #the dissatisfaction #the hoping for something more #something more magical than this dreary life filled with working to live and living to work #it’s so reflective of how life feels for me and perhaps many of us #and also Simon’s episode was so sad but so well thought out #exploring his feelings after the events of the adventure time finale is something I’m glad we get to see #there were already so many layers to his character in AT but now it feels like we get to dive deeper #I also felt emotional hearing Rebecca Sugar singing and writing a song that encapsulates his feelings so well #😭 it’s been awhile seeing her work exist alongside these characters #and all of these emotions get stronger because I remember AT being the one to inspire me to be a storyboard artist #when I was younger I used to follow many of the board artists here in tumblr and would get so inspired by them #to create simple but powerful boards that can capture the feelings of characters so well #Rebecca Sugar’s songs for the AT characters inspired me so much too #I’m sorry this is long I’m just feeling so many things experiencing all of this again as an adult #my art #fanart #adventure time #fionna and cake #fionna the human #cake the cat #simon petrikov

Yellow Submarine was a planned computer-animated remake of The Beatles' 1968 film of the same name. Director Robert Zemeckis was to incorporate the 16 Beatles songs and recordings from the original motion picture licensed from Sony/ATV Music Publishing LLC and EMI-Capitol Records, respectively, before it was cancelled. In 2009, Disney, Apple Corps and ImageMovers Digital announced plans for a remake of the Beatles' animated film, "Yellow Submarine," using motion capture technology. The film was scheduled for release in 2012, coinciding with the London Olympic Games. Director Robert Zemeckis would lead the project, with voices such as Peter Serafinowicz (Paul McCartney), Dean Lennox Kelly (John Lennon), Cary Elwes (George Harrison) and Adam Campbell (Ringo Starr). The motion capture would be done by the Beatles tribute group called "The Fab Four." David Tennant was in talks to play Chief Blue Meanie. Additionally, a Broadway stage adaptation and a Cirque du Soleil show were planned if the film was successful. However, in May 2010, Disney shut down ImageMovers Digital due to the failure of its previous projects, and ultimately canceled the film in 2011 after another box office failure, "Mars Needs Moms." Zemeckis had the option of taking the project to other studios, but ultimately decided not to pursue the film. In 2012, Zemeckis expressed his lack of interest in remaking the film, noting the difficulties of making remakes in today's film industry.

#high school musical #the remake i have of the second one is the best #i gave sharpay a romantic rival for troy turned accomplice turned girlfriend #since in my version of the first one established that gabriella is gabriel #in my version of the second i reveal that actually it's still gabriella - she just hasnt come out yet #'you are the music in me' is her singing with sharpay's girlfriend's sister about how cool it is to meet another trans person #i dont dance becomes a double version with two plots - ryan and chad & gabriella and the forementioned sister #also that sister is like a ryan equivalent - younger sibling of a spoiled and bossy older sister #so Fabulous is a duet between sharpay and her rival #bet on it is also a duet between sharpay and troy #conversly go my own way is a double version about troy x gabriella and sharpay x girlfriend #i need to give these ocs a name :/#ALSO the movie is animated so 'work this out' is a really cool number in which the budget goes down the longer the scene plays #so it first loses color. then frames. then it's sketches. then its storyboard. in the final part of the song it's literally just the actors #and they're playing in some garage #hellothepixel writing #writing #i have been thinking about this concept for a LONG time #if someone steals this... thank you for writing it for me. please give me the link

It’s been a goal of mine to sing this song ever since I heard it the first time way back in 2019. I did this maybe a month or so ago. It may not be the best because I was lying on my stomach and my cat decided it was the perfect time to sleep on my back lol

The All-Maudra Funeral song is so beautiful yet haunting. I love how everyone (except Naia) lends their voice at different parts of the song and harmonize beautifully. The contrast between our heroes’ funeral for Mayrin and Seladon’s will always be a favorite of mine. All in all, the All-Maudra Ceremony scene is my favorite scene in the entire series.

Aside from drawing I enjoy singing and “voice acting” the voice acting is something I do occasionally like when I’m playing a game where everyone but the mc has a voice lol Maybe I’ll share the one video I have of me doing a voice

One of these days I’ll do a storyboard/animatic and redo the vocals.

everytime I see a tangled edit or clip I'm instantly possessed by the little girl I was in like 2010

#the GRIP rapunzel as a fairy tale specifically had on me . and that was before tangled #fairy tales as a whole were a big special interest for me but rapunzel just never missed for me #esp when tangled came out ?? was obsessed to this day i can still watch the movie and mouth every sound i hear #i watched that dvd till it was so scratched and even then id watch thru the pauses and repeat the script until the movie caught up .#i had a point give me a minute . everytime i see rapunzel and eugene im <3 theyre so happy together . i love them #mina mumbles #btw i LOVED the behind the scenes i loved every little storyboard they gave on the bonus features . there r so so many different versions #of rapunzel i think tangled was a rlly fun take on it (not sticking w the witch and the garden cabbage storyline)#theres 2 different versions of mother knows best (specifically the one she sings in the beginning not the reprise) but both r engrained in #my mind . oh btw i still havent watched tangled the series ive heard its rlly good i just havent watched it yet #anyways thank u for listening to my unwell ramblings of smth that possessed me so consistently

Apparently there's some kind of camp camp art week going on

I mean I have technically been drawing my favorite character for the past few days and I guess now's a better time than ever to post a few images in case I never actually get any of these done

But I don't think I'm going to tag this because these are just storyboards for possible animatics or pmvs. Turns out some AJR songs fit Harrison really well, somebody on YouTube already made a Karma one but I've slowly been doodling to Finale and World's Smallest Violin. Plus the favorite character day is long over anyway sooo. Yeah

The Winter King concept drawings and thumbnails by supervising director Steve Wolfhard

I have a lot of Winter King visdev! I really really love this episode and I'm proud to have worked on it. I love Pat's songs, and the performances from ... haha everyone, the main voices along with The Winter King and The Candy Queen, the Lemoncarbs, everyone.

aannd of course the "Winter Wonder World" sequence, the storyboarding/animation/colour/singing is all remarkable. And the romance between Marshall and Gary, I really love all of it so much.

The storyboard for this episode, from Iggy, Graham, Nicole, Jim, and Lucyola is very beautiful as well. I hope all these boards get posted one day. (Also I loved drawing this stuff so much haha)

and babies. I tried to really stick to season 1 and 2 characters for these, Adam's idea was that this was BMO's wish to Prismo, that everyone becomes a baby, and then he got monkey-pawed into a baby monitor.

Sometime I'll post about headcanons for the Winter King world, like before and after this episode. Lol noncanon headcanons
