"You're only here for a week?" Sidney nodded his head, looking down on the ground with his hands in his pockets.

It was a warm summer night in Nova Scotia, the stillness of the summer air and the smell of freshly cut grass and the mosquito candle lit on the back porch. "Then what? You leave, never coming back? Headed to Pittsburgh for a life without us?"

"Y/N that's-"

"Exactly what you're doing. Didn't even bother to ask if I wanted to go with you." He looked up to meet your gaze and his heart shattered to see your depressed expression. "Look Sid, i'm happy for you, you know that. But I would have loved to have been there when you got drafted, when you went to go see the place for the first time, when you did all those things they showed on TV."

He sighs and stands up straight. He knows why you're upset, but he didn't think that you would have wanted to go with him. He didn't think you'd want to go to the draft, or to go see the rink. He knew that you weren't the biggest sports fan, but you supported him though.

"Y/N I thought you wouldn't want to go, I know how you feel about sports and I-"

"But you know how I feel about you! Sidney I went to every fucking game, I watched every game, hell I even watched tapes with you! I don't know why you think I wouldn't want to go with you, Sidney."

He stands there like a dog with it's tail between it's legs. Embarrassed and exposed. The tension between the two of you is extremely thick, it's begging to be sliced by a knife and melted down into nothing.

"I'll never forget you." You mutter, looking down at the concrete you stand on while your comment makes him perk his head up.

"What does that mean?" He asked in a concerned tone.

"It means you're moving onto the part of your life that I wanted to be there in, without me. Bye Sidney."

"Y/N c'mon, don't do this we can talk it out! Please!"

"I said bye."

in light of recent events(the quinn & brock thing:/) ive decided to post this now. i haven’t quite hit 200 but im only three away now and we all need something to keep our minds off of the recent news(at least i do) and so im really hoping yall will participate:) you all can send requests for the rest of the week for this(just if its in a few days lmk what its for) anyways on to the fun stuff !!!

okay chari gave me this idea! on my last milestone celebration, i did things like “🌊- cast your mutuals as...” and im doing the same thing just using hockey players names. & the names arent in any particular order, i tried to keep players with the teams theyre on but some i forgot and remembered like halfway through and added them towards the end.
